i just purchase an hp probook 4530s. it took me a lot of thinking between dv6, dm4 and hp probook. but i finally went with this one. there are a lot of preinstalled software that came with the win 7 home premium.
I actually formatted the pc woth win 7 pro..i just want to know what are the basic software to keep your laptop working at optimum condition. i have installed avg, ms office, defrag and ccleaner. are there any other softwares i need..thx

very funny question. lol. I give u a month, with an internet connection, your newly purchased PC will be cripping with all shades of software. On a serious note, get ms office suite, photoshop, corel draw and maybe games from the computer market. Wish u the best.

dont bombard your probook with too much software cause that pc isnt strong like dv6 . BTW you shoulda.bought dv6..

Be careful of the kind of game you install on it, that pc is not as strong as dv6

Best is relative. And I'd suggest you install applications you actually need/use.

Assess your needs, and find/request for applications to meet them. We could all list our "personal favourites" for you to install, and you'd end up clogging up your PC's resources. You could start by telling us what you intend doing with the PC firstly. That way, applications suggestions would be better guided.

@ poster it depends on the reason why you bought the system in the first place. There are several software that serve different purpose but like someone said maybe ms office and some good games is okay for a start.
