Chelsea To Retain Di Matteo As Permanent Coach As Guardiola Reject Blues Deal by NAIJAVOICE: 2:11pm On Jun 11, 2012

Chelsea will appoint Roberto Di Matteo as permanent coach this week after former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola rejected the job, the Daily Mirror reported.

Interim manager Di Matteo led Chelsea to its first Champions League title last month. Guardiola left Barcelona after last season, saying he wanted a break from soccer.

The club will this week appoint him eighth boss since 2004 for helping them to the Champions League title.
