naijaking1: Does anybody know why the House is refusing to give the Nigerian police the 'dollar evidence'?
My theory would be that some of the marked money has since been spent!!!!
So much for trying to implicate Otedola. Infact, some of the dollar bills might have already gone through the money changing alhajis allover Abuja by now!!!

With all due respect, @Olu_Bendel, nobody is saying Farouk should not be held to account for his 'sins'.
Rather, the demand some of us have unwaveringly advanced is that, the subsidy report should not be canned. Devoid of emotions, this much is owed to long suffering Nigerians, surely!

Personally, I would like to see the report implemented, while a parallel investigation is set in motion to explore concerns that other companies were omitted from the final report.

Is this not a fair recommendation?

In the first article, Otedola said this:

There appears to be consistency in the Thisday accounts, which corroborates the initial accounts that the SSS/'agencies' already had the recordings in their possession.

The story you referred to appears to be from another newspaper and not Thisday.

gboss4sure: I believe that the subsidy cabal "Papa OBJ" has a hand in this, he sent otedola to bribe farouk while they were recording the transaction and farouk himself was also trying to play a game in order to get evidence to nail otedola. When you fight corruption it fights back at you....... If not why should otedola agree to pay bribr if his company is clean of the subsidy scandal he should have stood his ground cause has his company been clean there won't be any evidence to nail him....... edicolove: This whole issue is very simple. If Lawan is innocent and was actually trying to get evidence to nail Otedola, he should have at least 2 things. 1. A video or at least audio of the bribe event showing he was actually setting Otedola up and 2. The dollar notes should be completely intact and unspent. If he doesn't have these 2 things, he is a liar and a criminal. It is that simple. If he has spent 1 dollar out of the money, it means he is a liar and a thief.
