I've been watching too many yoruba movies again grin grin grin.

I need to learn them, I always want to use them but either can't remember or can't say it properly.

Help me out and post the ones you know here.

not for cramming, more for referencing. There is always a use for proverbs.

Oh Oh... guess u need a prep lesson, you're right.... it means...

"the sun that sets in your presence is no more a visitor"

connotatively, you can link it to this fact...

"at the age of 20, you can't be a visitor in the house you were born into"

y do u wanna learn, i'm sure there'll be materials on it on the net...

i get it, the language that cannot be taken literally. lol

I just like the proverbs, esp when i'm watching yoruba movies (except for the misogynistic ones)

Theres one I heard, something along the lines of suffering and eating stew that has no oil and no salt (to explain that there's a limit to endurance) do you know that one?

how i wish, thats sounds interesting but it's unfortunate that i dunno, until i give my grandpa a call.... i'm thousands of miles away from home smiley
