180million for that nonsense house?
Re: a by Nobody: 1:09pm On Jun 18, 2012
there are some old houses like that at Ikoyi, you need to verify the area before concluding 180 Mill is too much.
Re: a by william5: 6:12pm On Jun 18, 2012
The only thing of value is the land on which the house was built.

In most cases, you're buying the land and not the house.
Re: a by soloqy: 5:00am On Jun 19, 2012
Its the location , location , location . *Ikoyi*. They are not selling you the house but the location. Most old houses that are bought on those prime areas are demolished anyways so its not new. Thats the Real Estate sector for you. Even when renting a house, you can see a brand new, well finsihed 3 bedroom flat (all ensuite) at a place like Okota and they will say its about 450k but the same thing will be about 1 million plus in a place like Bode thomas in Surulere..

That's a good price for Ikoyi. Their property are mostly siting on well over a plot of land
Re: a by ODB1: 9:41pm On Aug 03, 2012
not worth it. 180million equals 10million dollars!

I will be relocating to Barbados permanently if I had that amount

Even if you 're buying just the land it is still on the high side, that is over a million $ for just a 665m2. And the buyer must pay for the demolition of the house.

180 Million Naira is Not about 10 million dollars, rather about 1.1 million dollars

Property prices in naija is unreal and false economy. Over $1.1m for that! That'll buy you a couple of condos in the Key West with good rental returns.

It is not a funny advert. Land in that area at 150m asking price is not entirely a misnomer. He knew what he was saying, it's the land, not the house
