Mothers, stop self medication. Consult your paed. if yew concerned about any changes in your LO. My baby uses **** doesn't mean you should give yours too; body differs & symptoms might b similar while the "issue" isn't really d same. Too much of medications, irrespective of its mildness/baby friendliness has its side effects. Too much of pcm or multivit isn't good. My1Kobo. 2 Likes |

Mother of many here: lol. I always start with rice cereal. I don't give pap never have and never will. For cereal Try cerelac, purity, gerber etc. For milk I use aptamil, I've also used sma progress. My kids never reacted to any food or milk. I'm not sure cerelac rice is made in nig tho, I thin ghana or so. All in all as u introduce solid, u need to monitor ur baby to ensure there are no reaction. Pls don't forget to give enough water. My lo is currently on solid and loves water pass bm. cutienik: 1 Like |

@moyAyo, I have not heard anything like that, most of my customers uses custard none of their children have convulsed. Though I don't use it @cutienik, it is ok to give abidec I gave my daughter till about 4 months and even now but only when the need arises. For the baby food, there are cereal for 4months old, cow and gate, heinz, Ridilac. It is advisable to start with a single grain cereal such as Rice, wheat, maize, oatmeal then as the child grows older you can add others. 1 Like |

@tchiwinne you use nutriben, gerber (gerber have different nice flavours), Ridilac, Golden country, Cerelac @mmagdalene, I don't also know what lanolin is. For your baby's formula depending on your pocket there are alot different and good milk. From Enfamil, Similac, Thrive, Sma, Nan, Lactogen, Aptamil, Cow and gate etc All these milk are good the only difference is company name and place of production, this also affact the price so just enter any shop if you are in port Harcourt you can come to my shop but outside port_harcourt you can enter any good baby shop and make your choice. For the sore nipple it will go I used vasline and it worked for me if you are a bit patient it will go. Remember that Exclusive breastfeeding is healthier......kisses to your Lo |

So sorry dear. It can be painful. Pls make sure you bring baby close to you and not you leaning towards baby to bf. Also make sure lo opens his mouth enough to enclose the "ar...." That's the black area on ur b....t. You will heal in no time. Try to feed on demand then if you think its not enough u can try formula. I'm a huge fan of ebf. mmagdalene: |

hi mmagdalene, i m new here but this happened to me some 3 weeks ago. the pain was unbearable as my baby was just a week old then. i used the lansinoh cream but it did not work. blue seal vaseline did the magic for me. i made sure i change my breast pad 3-4 times a day and applied a good amount of blue seal vaseline on top and around my nipple. i did this like 4-5 times a day and by the next day d pain reduced drastically. Also like someone rightly said, make sure that the whole nipple and almost all ur areola (the dark part around d nipple) is inside ur baby's mouth so as to enable ur baby latch properly. [quote author=mmagdalene post=27588534] Hi all, Please advise. Just gave birth and plan to exclusively breastfeed for now. The issue is it seems my baby didn't latch on properly in the first few days cos now I have a cut on one Tip and the other also hurts. I'm already applying my milk after each feeding but we're almost two weeks at it now and the cut and pain are still there. |
