OK I'll check when next I go to Ikeja mall. Thanks

Prunes are very plenty in ikeja mall. If you want the real fruit, it's the same as dried plums. You will find the one in jars in the baby food aisle.

Ha! Is this safe? No vex o but I remember reading online when thinking about whether to give my 6month old orange or not that the acidity of oranges may cause them to have rashes and it's better or start when they are 1. That's why i'm kinda skeptical about 3-4 oranges. Please, no offence intended o, just trying to learn.

I believe she may have meant a few (tea) spoons of the oranges!

Gud day mama's in d house... Pls help a FTM. Pls what can I use for my 3weeks baby dt has dis white stuff on her tougue.

Cc :All the Sabi Mama's.

You can use a clean wet towel to clean the tongue. If it is milk residue, it should come off easily. But if it isn't coming off, then let a doctor check your child to rule out oral candidiasis.

Ela is same as nla. The first is the Yoruba term for it, the other Igbo. In English it's called infantile eczema.

Jedijedi is pile.

I have been looking for pear in all the markets. They said its out of season. I don't think we have prune in Nigeria. I discovered it was the flagyl I was using that is affecting my baby's poo. I have stopped it though.. I now make his cereal light and I tried this early warm water as u advised but my baby rejected it immediately he noticed its not the usual sweet ordinary water. thinking of trying orange juice.
If Prune fit dey my corner, then its everywhere. They sell 1 for 200naira.

When u get the fresh cow milk, dont boil immediately.Allow it to ferment(just leave it in the kitchen not fridge).U can boil the following day(the milk will separate from the water)Find sieve for ogi(that one that looks like headtie)pour it in and tie!Place sumtin heavy on it to help get the water out. After like 30mins,u can then remove it from the sieve and slice and the fry.Hope it helps grin

I have an issue and can't seem to think of what to do.

My baby's creche will be shutting down for the year on the 18th December to resume 3rd January.
The company I work for doesnt give leave in December and so my next best option to keep her while I work would have been my mum, but my mum is a fashion designer and this is her peak period... She won't really be chanced till after 26th December cos of d workload she has.

What do I do?

Za.ynie
Hun..nisuzie
Lifte..dhands
Ak..orkor
Jaz..zyjazz
Fe..ddy27
All other mamas

Thanks

Your best bet will be to get someone to stay with her at your mum's place.

Pele dear. This is one of the things we working mums go through.

I have one inserted right now...
* painless procedure to get it done..just a slight discomfort
* 1st period was absolutely heavy
* subsequent ones are normal
* no issues whatsoever
* only disadvantage is that it will be poking your partner
* it's very safe and highly effective; at least my baby is 13months and no pregnancy so obviously it's working smiley

I have a copper IUD inserted since April 2017. The reason I went for copper was because I didn't want any hormonal contraceptives because I had irregular periods before I concieved.
I was asked to come on the last day of my first post-partum period for insertion. The insertion process was a bit uncomfortable, The nurse claimed that normally it shouldn't be, but it was cos I had my baby via CS. undecided, something abt cervix bla bla bla.
I felt a bit of pain afterwards (a few doses of panadol helped me get thru this) and I had to use a pad for 2 days after cos I had light spotting)

Side effects I have felt is only heavier periods - I use 3 and half pack of always (blue pack of 7) per period..(I used to have heavy periods before pregnancy tho, but the nurses said heavier periods is a major side effect).
Some ppl claim their partners feel it during s.ex, I don't know how true that is cos my DH has never felt it while doing the do.

Disadvantage - Menstrual periods can shift the coil, so u will need to search and feel the strings after each period to be sure it is still there...it's not so difficult sha, they will teach u at the clinic.
however, If for any reason, you do not feel it, Pls go back to the clinic to get it checked.

If well inserted, IUD can last for up to 10 years.

P.s - After my 2nd missionary journey, I think I'll just go for the arm implant grin. Hopefully, I won't be needing to regulate any periods.
