I successfully weaned my baby without crying episodes. I stopped feeding during d day, we do night feeds twice before morning. I started giving water but found out he gets hungry at night, so I introduced milk. I give him 250ml before he sleeps and early in the morning. If he wakes before then he takes his water which I keep close by. I wish all mothers successful weaning( e no easy o, d others no easy like this)

Just keep trying dear but I don't advice givin baby cereal at night warranting u to wake up. I feel for all these our children, they can actually sleep tru d night. Wakin up to eat at night might just be habit.

feeding my baby cereal at night, really helped me wean her fast, cuz 1. it was more filling than b.milk so she started waking up once or twice on a bad night instead of every two hours, secondly it reduced my production because i was down to feeding only twice a day. after two weeks of feeding her cereal at night, i started b.feeding only once a day for a week and i just stopped like that. i had no heaviness. no soreness of the boobs nothing! and my baby is an international b.milk lover

infact since i weaned her off the boobs completely, she started sleeping at night and she also started eating better

good luck

what i did with the cereal was to mix it with the milk and cover it in her plate near my bed with hot water flask, so all i did was to add the water and stir.

I know its sad to lose a loved one but life has to go on. Its difficult to accept but what can one do. Pls nuture your baby to the best of your ability and banish every negative thought in your mind. Don't allow the enemy to capitalize on it and cause greater damage. Warm hugs to you

Sorry about ur loss, it is well.

Pls can you extend your stay with ur mil or if you must leave, request that a friend or a close family member come stay with you. Someone who can relate well with you and cheer you up always.

You shouldn't be alone with the baby when you are going through stuffs like this, you need more time to heal first.

God bless

TX for the response, esteria and miraclemum.
*Learnt I can't do hot-water massage cos of d internal injury, how do I get my tummy down, some people advised that I should take dry gin n eat lots of spicy stuff, drink hot water.
*, I was told I can wear girdle or tie d tummy with cloth.

Are all these true? Did u try any of d methods and did it work or what worked for ur tummy? Am 4 wks post CS and I can't see a difference in my tummy size.
*Also, how many months did it take to resume sex.
Tx

Yes u can't do hot water massage cos of both internal nd external stitches. I'm still trying to get my tummy down after 5months but I can attest to post partum girdle, it works like magic but only if u r DETERMINED to be wearing it 24/7. I got tired of wearing it (especially at midnite wen I hv to b waking up at almost every hour to breastfeed) nd my tummy became big again. But u hv to heal up internally 1st b4 u can wear it, say 8wks. Pls don't tie d tummy!

Well I took all those dry gin nd co but it didn't work for me, it might work for u, u can gv it a try.

As per sex, I'm not living wit my hubby so I cant ans on dat.

Hp dat ans ur question.

I was also told not to do hot water massage and I didn't. But I took hot water which am still taking. I also took spicy food with Uda. My tummy has reduced reasonably but not as it was before pregnancy. I want to buy a post partum tummy belt to complete the reduction. As for sex, av not resumed oh. Until I think of a good family planning to do, no sex for now.

It's alright to feel the way you do but don't let the pain overwhelm you. My advice for you is to express your grief. To be honest with you, it's still early days. I don't expect you to be all cheerful now but don't dwell on your loss. Your baby needs you and i hope you're able to draw enough strength from him/her to do the needful.

If you want a good hospital in festac, use the mother and child hospital at first gate, they are very very good or you use Navy town hospital,if its not too far.
