Hi, I'm a graduate student from Yale University in the USA. I am currently visiting Nigeria to study Yoruba and to research household responses to the subsidy reduction. Right now I'm in Ibadan but will be in Lagos and Benin City shortly.

I am disseminating a survey which I will attach here. Please, if you have the time and want to help my research, fill out the survey and e-mail me at justin.scott@yale.edu. It asks questions such as how much you have stopped using your generator, how the subsidy has most affected you, and what you'd like from the government in lieu of the subsidy. In addition, it asks whether you have seen any evidence of the implementation of the federal government's planned program of social safety nets to mitigate the immediate impact of the subsidy reduction on the poor. This last question is very important and if you don't want to do the full survey, please just respond here and let me know if you have seen any evidence of these projects.

I am conducting these surveys in person but I would love to supplement them with your responses here on Nairaland. Thank you very much.
