That list is severely flawed.Anyway, what do I know? This is my personal list of top companies to work for in Nigeria and it is based on career progression, good remuneration(including pension, health benefits etc),brand value and meritocracy. This list is not exhaustive and is in no particular order. 1.Mckinsey & Co. 2.Accenture 3.Citibank 4.Ericsson 5.GE 6.Aviat Networks I am excluding oil and gas companies because I think the only attractive point is the huge wages.Career progression is slow if not non-existent. |

Biko, commot Access Bank for that list sharp sharp. Access ko, Blockage ni. They're slave drivers and do not have ideal working conditions. It has nothing to do with them letting go of IB Plc staff earlier this year. For those with good knowledge of the banking industry, if you're introduced as a staff of Access bank, you immediately get a look of pity and then you're asked - how do you cope? That cannot be a top 10 place to work in Nigeria for sure. GTB tops them any time T. 2 Likes |

Don't you mean top ten plantations owned by massa to work for? Isnt it funny how no nigerian owned companies are on that list - Nigerians forever being used as cheap labour in order to amass huge profit for their european/american masters. |

I wonder how Access bank got on the list....cos is one of the most f*cked up place to work in Nigeria. They have a very good CEO, a visionary with impecabble integrity. But beyond, there is nothing like work/life balance in Access bank. And you are lucky if you have a supervisor that allow you to close at 7.0 pm even if you resume at 6 am. 1 Like |

I worked for Citibank in Nigeria and I will say it is a crappy place to work. So much politics and the Nigerian factor at play there and worst of all, salary is crappy. I actually left Citibank for Equitorial Trust Bank back then. The oil and gas sector is still the best place to work in terms of training, renumeration, career advancement etc. There is always politics everywhere but the oil and gas industry is still the best. |
