Mandelaguy: where is this one coming from? You are the one who appears very lost on the issue at hand. If all you could do after reading thru this summary was to post " this one is lost" then there is a problem. Your mates have been reviewing the chat summary and picking out holes or salient points contained therein but you chose to review other people's post. Quite unfortunate. I hve been able to deduce 10 things from the Presidents chat as follows:You forgot so points.. 1,Asset declaration. 2,Only about 2 people were able to call in. 3.PDP patrons that are being shielded fro EFCC and co 4.Was Azazi's sack due to incompitence? |

BetaThings:.....i dnt mean dat no one should discuss it bt i wondered why such discussion was able to veer almost every1's mind out of other important things he said.my bid for saying it is to make those who have found mistake in him to still see where he is getting it.Afterall, what GEJ has done in a year is bigger what Yaradua did in 3years.Equally, remember dat having not being caught in a crime does not mean dat one is not criminal.i understand it dat his responsibility should be higher in obeying the law but no one's role should be neglected. ur analogy where u use traffic make me feel dat u think dat crime is just one.there are millions of crimes and let me just say that 98% of nigerian commit atleast one on his own capacity. |

If I remember correctly, King himself was not at Eagle Square last independence day nor on May day. Mr. President should be reminded that come 1st October, he has to appear at Eagle Square so he won't send a 'wrong signal' to BH. I believe that was his reason for going to Brazil when BH were busy slaughtering people in the North. |

Mr. Jonathan also explained why he had not visited Maiduguri and Damaturu, two hot beds of sectarian violence. He said the airport was ill-maintained for his plane to land, adding that he could not travel by helicopter for security reasons. And yet you have Arik air and IRS airline flying in and out of maiduguri everyday.perhaps their lives are of no concern to mr. president. |

I have come to understand the mindsets of my fellow Nigerians as difficult and highly gullible as well as so quick to judge and easily forgetting the ills of yesterday.. But in all govt must proceed and I think this govt shdn't be deterred in it's activities in repositioning this country irrespective of social media propaganda being orchestrated by disgruntled political elements. tHe problems naija face is largely political and they r products of accumulated pains and failures in past leadership and the greed of some who felt that the cap only fits them. So unfortunate that the ground can no longer hold for the manifestation of these anger and pain in GEJ administration but unshould be strong to prove your detractors wrong.. He was right going to RIO, I love that bravery, not because he dudn't love his people but no additional actions would have been taken if mr president were in the country that was not taken and that would have given the perpetrators of this evil some sense of satisfaction..I think they should be ignored actually |

mbulela: What difference will asset declaration make sef? Asset Declaration gives the people the power to contest or question abnormalities that may surface during the term. If a politician declares he is worth 300 million, for instance, and the CCB 'investigates' and 'confirms' it, the people can on taking that info, do their own investigation to further validate/invalidate claims made. Also it is a start in holding those in power accountable. |

I told you before that Kobojunkie and people like lacasa are Boko Aram agents on NL. They are pursuing the BH agenda which is to make Nigeria ungovernable. Kobojunkie is only doing what he is paid to do. The president was so clear. Kobojunkie did not follow it. He was here talking trash when the president was still talking. He never tried to listen. He was doing what he was paid to do which is find statement which you can use to discredit the broadcast. The president was very very very right. He doesn't have to declare his asset openly. He didn't and I repeat didn't say he would not declare his asset. It is Kobojunkie that is saying that. He clearly said he wouldn't do it openly and would not ask anyone to do so. This is corroborated by the fact that Yaradua tried to bring the open declaration of assets to the fore. GEJ said he disagreed with him then and told him so. That is frank talk. He also added he declared his assets as a VP not long before he became president. That shows clearly he was talking about openly declaring which was what Yaradua tried to emphasize. Kobojunkie's arguement that the declaration is always open is deceptive and very stup1d. It is not open. You declare it to the CCB. Before the FOI bill, that information could only be gotten thru legal means. But with the passage of FOI, you can request it. So Kobojunkie trying to twist the story that GEJ does not want to declare his assets is just the same act of trying to spread falsehood to try to gring the government down. But his group will fail woefully because Nigeria will not stop for them. GEJ is too focussed for that crap! I like his I don't give a d@mn stuff! I told you all that guy is not afraid of anyone or anything! |

GEJ may be working but Nigerians like visible results and the truth is with all the corruption, no one getting arrested, jan 1st subsidy issue, unilag name change and boko haram menace, its going to be difficult to find anything good in him. My major grouse is the "faceless" bokoharam. Since when did they became faceless? All those people that acts as their spokespersons nko? Or d sponsors he claims to know? What happens to our police intelligence? Not that I am advocating for negotiation "faceless or not" its not easy being in charge |

He keeps stating that they are faceless and that no one knows what they want. When the name BOKO Haram tells of what they are against, and they have openly announced their cause several times. When you listen to the international media, you get the sense that this group has already made itself clear however, when you hear the president talk of them, you wonder if it is not the same Boko Haram that we have known of for over 4 years now. Did anyone else here where he said the boys are Nigerians and the last thing he wants to do is kill any Nigerians. That he would rather get them to dialog, train them and aid them in contributing to the Nigerian economy First thoughts that crossed my mind when I heard it, and then again last night on Channels tv, was Nigerians are in deep doodoo in for a hell of a time at the hands of these boko haramites. ![]() |

Kobojunkie: ChannelsTV is running re-runs of the Video and again they have mentioned his refusal to declare his assets. ROFLMAO!!!In all sincerity, I have come to the conclusion that you will neve see anything good in the man. Some of us have seen through you,and we know messengers like you who abound in churches and mosques, whose trade in stock is to multiply lies, misquote people and spread discord, but you will never succeed. Like someone told you earlier, gloves are off,and people will punch out the truth from your mouth. All of us heard wha he said on asset declaration, not the way you are putting it to people. Wake up junkie. |

Like GEJ said, critisizing GEJ is big business and Kobojunkie is earning fat and smiling to the bank. For him, it is a career. An agenda. We will expose him. |

Here is what the President said regarding the Brazil trip: Trip to Brazil Justifying the trip, he said, “I have no regrets going to Brazil. The issue of security in this country, especially relating to the Boko Haram crisis is pathetic, I have lost people and I have lost property. I sympathise with people who have lost property and relations. I feel the pain. “As President of this country, even if one person dies, I feel sad. But one thing is that if you know the tactics of terrorists, Nigerians who were worried that I travelled got worried out of ignorance. “One of the tactics of terrorists is to strangle government. If they heard that the President and the Vice-President wanted to travel but couldn’t do so because they struck, they would celebrate it.” According to him, Presidents of other countries had always encouraged him to ensure that the government of Nigeria does not stop because of terrorism. He was incoherent (rambling) in his speech most of the time but we can understand what he was trying to say. Even he said the issue of security in the country is pathetic (I wonder who is to blame). He then went on to say those who felt he should not have gone to Brazil felt so out of ignorance (how can a President speak about a large number of Nigerians in that manner?). What he has failed to grasp is that Nigerians are not saying he should not travel, but they want to make sure he has addressed dire security situations before leaving the country - and a significant number of people do not think he has been able to get to grip with the pathetic security situation in the country. How can anyone think the government of Nigeria has stopped just because the President of Nigeria did not travel to Brazil a few days after over 30 of his citizens have been massacred by terrorists - and not for the first time? Maybe he will care to name any of the 'other Presidents' who travelled out of their own coutries soon after a large number of their people were killed by terrorists. If he thinks Boko Haram needs him not to travel out of the country before they know they have the upper hand he has another thing coming. What they will be happy about is that instead of him sitting down with his security people and seriously planning their (Boko Haram's) demise, he is more interested in going to Brazil and earning 'estacode'. Boko Haram already have enough to celebrate. He would probably have earned the respect of Nigerians if he went to see at least some of the victims of the blast, held a meeting with his security people and made a statement on what he is doing about those latest terrorist acts (to let Nigerians know how the security team are tackiling the issue in his absence) before jetting off to Brazil. There is nothing he achieved in Brazil that would not have been achieved if he took a trip to Brazil (if he must) some other time or if he sent other people to represent him (I know he would have missed the Climate Conference but that is really not a big deal in the circumstances). Here is a poor, incompetent President - not capable of making the right decisions - trying to lecture the rest of us. Absolutely pathetic. |
