If oyibo say those Nigerian athletes have Martian DNA what could we do? We are powerless.We didn't invent any drug detection technique. Like primitives we can only accept what white people tell us, if they say we came from rats eventually we would accept. Kenyans and Ethiopians are lucky that they have long and illustrious history in the Long Distances, so it wont be convincing to start labelling them drug cheats.Nigerians, the people everyone like to hate are the perfect victim material. The Nigerian sports body or organization supporting these athletes should challenge every claim made by any drug testing bodies and scrutinize every decision against Nigerian Athletes, they should not just accept these oyibo decisions lamely. They should give our athletes all the support possible. I find it hard to believe that after the commonwealth games, with all the scrutiny Nigerians would be under everywhere they go that our athletes would knowingly take drugs. |
