It just a minor problem and my old-man mechanic fixed it within 20mins wow.!!! Feel so great

All the 6 plugs were checked and nothing happened to them but just one of the plug holder so it was changed and all was perfect. THATS ALL

Hi beemer ppl, I'm thinking of moving from Toyota to a 96' 318 as a mechanic friend has been testifying as to the ease of maintenance of the machine... can anyone please shed more light on the truth of this? I used a 2003 x5 when i was stateside and traded it in for a 2009 pilot cos of gasket issues and honestly i preferred the older x5 to the newer honda all the way. This is naija sha and I need to know if it would be easier to maintain a '03 camry than a '96 318... pls does anyone have an insight on auto transmission, engine and suspension costs for the beemer? My bonet cable snapped 2 days ago when I tried opening it to do the normal routine check before hitting the road. I got a replacement cable at Zuba at 4k and had it fixed yesterday.

So far my E39 is in a great shape.

Am loving the e46 330i, and i hear it has cooling system issues. Does anyone here know if cooling system components from a previous or consequent 3 sereis model can fit the e46 m54 engine.

@nocanda, the e46 318i is truly easy to maintain for two reasons:
1- it's strong, doesn't develop fault easily.
2- it's parts are not expensive.
I'm telling you from experience cos that's what I drive, and its the easiest to maintain among the 3 cars I currently have.

I had uboma's number but my phone developed a fault and I couldn't recover almost all my numbers including his...

How reliable are the
