OM|Educate™ is an educational services start-up that has been working with schools since 2011 providing professional development to educators. We draw on current research and best practices from around the world to provide transformative and active learning environments (online services, professional learning communities, coaching support, work-based and site-based consultancy support) for educators within and without their workplace.

Job Title: Education Support Officer.
Location: Lagos

Job Summary:
The Education Support Officer is responsible for supporting the Education Director in research and other educational endeavors. This officer must be good at planning and writing project proposals. The officer must work closely with the business development manager in the planning and implementation of a wide range of educational programs to serve clients’ diverse educational needs. The officer must have a high level of integrity and honesty. The officer must be a team player and should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The officer must adhere to OM|Educate™ values, vision, and mission. The officer should be ready to travel within and outside Lagos for work.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and nurtures effective partnerships with national, district and other local government authorities;
• Builds capacity through seminars and use of print electronic media and training workshops;
• Develops training and communication materials for different project interventions;
• Carries out collaborative training programs for selected trainers;
• Participates in relevant workshops and meetings at project and district levels;
• Assesses and documents lessons learnt during implementation of projects;
• Conducts research,
• Collects and manages relevant data as may be required;
• Compiles and presents regular reports on assigned tasks
• Monitors, evaluates, and provides educational support to different components of the
• Computer savvy and research skills

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Minimum qualification Bachelor’s degree in Education or NCE plus a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Required experience 3 – 5 years
• Experience in Educational sector will be an added advantage.
• Experience working with local and national government authorities in education will be an added advantage.
• Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education will be an added advantage.
• Previous work in a professional development or organizational development-based company will be an added advantage.
