Java apps run anywhere...so long as you hava JRE installed...again, i may be wrong...

you can create Apple apps with flash or action script on windows using adobe flash professional and AIR(Adobe Integrated Runtime) SDK.

I have a bs and ms in comp sci and I started as a software developer with C#/c++ as my first love I also had fun working on some java school projects specifically J2ME(for handheld devices)

Am a female twe,also trying to place my hand on some languages.am currently on IT,what gave me inspiration was the fact that most ladies run away from this,and the guys feel too important when u need them to code for u.its all fun tho i learnt java buh not too good in it and not all currently am on php trying to build a web site as i learn
