i dnt think thats the reason, you knw a lot of logistics and due process go into the release of any admission list, so thats probably watz delaying it *just speculations sha* i hope it doesnt take longer than necessary though

@Ayodeji,u r 100% right.The list of first choice candidates recommended for adm is back 4rm jamb consequent upon it approval by jamb during it combined technical metin which ended last week friday.So,jamb has never given adm to 2nd choice cand of any skul in Nigeria.U guyz just have 2 be patient.UI is waiting 4 d second choice approval by jamb.they wanted 2 release d list once and 4 all RELAX URSELF....ALL IZ WELL....SOURCE-MR. ADETONA B(adm officer undergraduate.)

And when do u think the 2nd choice list wil be approvd?

the same thing applies to me, i choose yoruba and scored 48 making me d 14th person in d dept, i have not loose hope and i will not loose, still believe Insha Allah i will make d list no matter d measure used by ui.

@all,He said dat d cut off mark varies 4rm 1 dept 2 d other,depends on performance of student in a dept,carrying capacity of d dept and accommodation but refuses 2 divulge any cut off mark.Jamb's combined tech mitin holds late August and Early sept 4 second choice candidates....

Tnx alot qassy so going 4rm what u av just said we still have 2 wait till late August/early sept. 2 knw our fates i.e if d university still wishes 2 wait 4 d 2nd choice confirmation 4rm JAMB. In all we stil pray and hope 4 d Best.

One thing u guys haven't really talked about is Direct Entry admission. Jamb said the deadline for admission for this year is October 31st for both jambite, DE etc. UI still have some months ahead to settle all these and clearify admission issues. I tell u if UI don't release our names early August it's gonna be a flop cos minimum DE interview, payment and all dat will take at least 3 weeks talkless of jamb approval and mind u Oct 31st is the deadline. So considering these facts i foresee early August feasible so as to balance admission process for both parties without hitch and mind u some minor errors might spring up from the student naiveness and all dat so that would be put into consideration. Let's just exercise some patience all will surely be well
