I actually think that of all the fallacious, self-deceiving, low-self esteem add-ons many modern women rely on to 'look beautiful', the most irritating is fake hair. Who is fooling who? Unless my wife went bald, she would NEVER wear fake hair. Even then, she'd better consult Wayne Rooney and get surgery for hair that actually grows.

Just my honest opinion. No need for any woman in the house to raise dust

As an old hag dont care much for weaves, best to be natural. There are so many wacky weaves wearers out there, not worth looking at. Those ladies need a long good look in the mirror before they step out into the public.

...comparing the responses from Naija men to what i saw on the ground a few weeks ago in naija...it's safe to say that Naija women dont give a rat's Bottom about what Nigerian men think of how they dress or wear their hair!! lol

But who is dating all those girls wearing all those weaves then?

Anyways, the hypocrisy go both ways! i was introduced to some ladies a few years ago and they emailed me their photos with weave on fake dreads and then they saw my photo with long beautiful natural dreads and their instant response was i must cut it!! i was like - for real? ...are y'all for real??

A relative boldly declared in a room full of people a few weeks ago in naija that i must cut off my Dreads before we go to the Village but then when i brought out my camera to take Videos of the Village folks, seeing my very long dreads, some loudly complained and regretted having recently just shaved their hair not knowing they would be put on video!

My friend Anna is a PA working in a Laywer's office in Sunnyside.
Two months ago she went to an upmarket hair salon on Independence avenue and spent well over R1500 for a Brazilian weave. She looked good in her new hair style!.
two weeks later she started suffering severe headaches that would not go away with compral. frequently she'd wake up at night with the constant headache. she went to a private doctor who gave her myprodols that would work for only a few hours and then the headaches will be back worse than before,
desperately, she went to see a specialist who did blood tests and even a scan of the brain and all the tests were normal.
because of the headaches she could not concentrate at work and was sleeping very poorly.
she went back to her doctor who decided to examine her scalp and under the beautiful weave he found worms! the worms were burrowing into her skull and after sending the samples to the lab they found that the hair had eggs from which the worms had hatched!

the doctor told her that the hair was probably from a corpse because the kind of worms are usually found on dead bodies!
the hairdresser who supplied the hair was shocked and told her that they fitted 10 weaves already and that batch of hair had gone very fast!

if you have a weave and getting constant headaches, this is something you may consider checking out. Poor Anna had to shave her head after this ordeal and take antibiotics for a full 2 weeks!

I am into cosmetics and I can tell u that weavon oil and hair oil sells well cos 8 out of ten ladies where weaves!
