My Friend, I dont see anythign wrong with having only one vehicle and it being SUV, unless you have enough money to change rides. If you dont want a notice me situation , buy a lowly SUVs. There are some SUVs that you will buy today , tomorow your neighbour wont even remember you had one lol..just kidding .

Well, You better get one for yourself unless you aar eno tin Nigeria and remember some SUV are made for OFFROADS. In Nigeria all we have are OFFROADS>>> be Guided !

Personally I think SUVs are the best vehicles for Naija roads.

You can ask Donpuzo though, he is the resident SUV expert. tongue

If you are in lagos buying a canoe will be better off if you are considering inaccessible roads.

If you really love Audi and wants to own one, you can buy Audi A6 Allroad. It's a powerful 4wheel drive. It's raised like conventional SUVs. Power ranges from 250hp to 400hp. It's a station-wagon. Here in Germany, price ranges between €20,000 to over €30,000 for 2005 model, depending on km already run.

True. Switched to SUV few months ago, principally because of the bad, waterlogged roads in my area. Only last week, I was hearing some cracra sound in my engine and my mechanic said it's caused by water entering the engine. What I thought an SUV is immune from.

Even on good roads Audis don't have the best reps.

My advise would be a mid-sized truck from Japan etc. . . .

Or if you insist on a sedan then go for something like a Honda or Toyota. Something that'll be easier to maintain. Besides, you'll get more bang for your buck because if you have money for a 2005 Audi, you might as well walk off the lot with a 2007 Honda thats bound to be more reliable,

Buying SUV depends on where you live and what u want to use it for. If u are in Abuja and living in town up to Gwarinpa it might be a waste of space and fuel. My only car wont be an SUV when there is tarred road to my doorstep.
My opinion.

If you stay here in the north, stick to any of these Japanese cars- Honda, Nissan, & Toyota. So many advantages- better roads, low maintenance cost, cheap spare parts, good fuel economy, good resale value, flexibility in movement, less traffic etc. If you live in the south, the sky is your limit.

SUVs feel the same pains with cars on bad roads.SUV are heavier thus the stabilizer linkages, bushings and certain underneaths spoil more often than in normal cars. The only difference is that most SUVs are higher off the ground and some may have higher power to move over high bumps more easily
