I drove for 3 hours at 150mph straight in my BMW 528i once.

Let's just say that gas mileage suffered greatly.

It doesn't matter and a non sequitur. OP never specified that country has to be Nigeria.

king406: then what of corolla 2005 and 2005 camry which has a v6 engine, and both have 180 on their speedo, do they roll over too?

Very funny. Where did u see a 2005 Camry v6 with 180km/hr as max speed? Even an i4 corolla has up to 220km/hr. Are u sure u are not misquoting MPH as km/hr?

Bro I tire for u o. Whatever makes u think a 2005 Toyota Camry's max speedo is 180km/hr. Even a 1996 Camry aka Orobo has 140 MPH (225 km/hr) on its dash.

2005 Toyota Camry aka big for nothing

1996 Camry aka Orobo

why are you worried? what percentage do you think teenage readers of this thread will add to the already high accident rates in Nigeria. most accidents fatal or not are caused by adults and not teenagers. out of 2568 accidents recorded by FRSC in the year 2013, how many do you think were caused by teens and how many do you think will be caused by teens that have been influenced by this thread on Nairaland.
Am not encouraging over speeding in stable or unstable cars nor with skilled or unskilled drivers. Veiw a thread more like a medium people exchange views and talk to each other simple. The topic or thread is only what attracts these people to talk, we both know that there are many threads on naira land that are dead on arrival others are oversubscribed, all we can do is always hint on the dangers associated with excessive speeding and probably show some pics like this one below to balance the sensational topic.

People like are the ones I want to see face to face I like your response , on cartalk this thread happens to be the best thread because it's deviation is also educative. Instead of been unnecessarily edgy let's make it worth it.

Toyota camry 2005 Got
220km/h i4 240km/ V6 and both engines will chew a corolla except in corners where the big body heavy mass, serious front and rear over hangs and floaty feel will be a let down for the camry.

3rd fastest production SUV after BMW X6M and Porsche cayenne turbo S. I see a couple of them in Abuja but I don't know if they understand the formidable weapon they drive. In Basorun, Ibadan, I saw a 2004 black coloured facelift model ML55AMG. The owner have actually destroyed that beast I saw a tiny thin spare tyres in its front right wheel for 2 weeks and deep down I feel its diff has been damaged (4wheelers need same tyres, same size, same specs, for even wear rates and to prevent damage to diff).

thats a G55AMG not a 63AMG V8biturbo and noit even a 65amg V12 biturbo. Even with the abominable handling, and the traction control which is way too sensitive, the G 55 AMG breaks the 100 km/h mark in 5.5 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 210 km/h. With the speed limiter taken off, that behemot will max the 280km/h mark on the speedo (trust AMG on this).

Bros, are u sure u know the difference between a corolla and a Camry? A Camry is a mid size family sedan, u don't expect it to have a top speed of 180km/hr.

its not that I don't know, but know that the camry I drove had 180kmph, and I thought the big for nothing started 2006, but the camry before big for nothing aka emeka grin was on production up till 2005, so I was confused and maybe the camry I drove had a speedometer replacement, u knw what 9ja mechanics can do. i once did 210kph between ajah and epe on a rainy day in 2001 with my best friend seated beside me, listening to tupacs Until the end of time album on the cd player in a black 1992 BMW 535i.. cruising speed (corners and bends) was easily 180kph and we probably did less than 3 tracks on the album till we got to epe... needless to say that i drove like the average person on the way back. i dont think its something i want to do again... but that ibadan towards ogbomoso road is seriously tempting.

4 months ago I frequented that Ibadan-Ogbomoso-Ilorin Road, that road is nothing but a death trap. Very thin bridges barely enough for 2 vehicles, with dangerous bends and twists, huge shoulders on road side, serious tar deformation, potholes Lorries breaks down, fall on their sides or have their articulate bed detached and left across the roads in dangerous manners.
