Okay. First of all try and get your GCMS note to know the exact reason for refusal.

Secondly, try and work on your SOP and explain the study gap in your profile till date. Also you can request for a letter from CFA stating you are a student in good standing and also noting the courses you have passed.

Thirdly, try and include documents like pension SOA and car documents to tackle the issue of personal asset and financial status

You have a very strong profile. Try and work on your documents.

Background check is most likely done by an external body called CSIS and not by your visa officer. Visa officer await recommendation or clearance from CSIS before updating our status. Its good to know that a decision has already been made on our file at the first review stage while the VO awaits background check report before updating our final status.

The reason why most applications get stucked apt the BG check stage may be because security report from csis is not yet out. Sometimes your travel history can be a reason for delay because they will have much information to verify with the countries you have visited.

You may need to wait till the end of processing time before you can start sending mails.

Hello boss. Your advise would be suitable if she was applying with a masters degree. Don't be surprise they may even deny him for another reason if she reapplies with the same PGD.

CRS score of 465 is more than enough to get ITA and get PR. If she can provide all documents she claimed she had at the point of calculating her CRS score, its almost certain she will get her PR.

Oh... Your first year tuition is 14k. 34k is okay for amount available for stay. You can leave room and others blank. The most important box is your tuition and amount available for stay.

My tuition for the entire program is 28k, living expenses in Quebec is 11k. I want to pay a year tuition of 14k and have my mom open a Dom account and send the money for living expenses. Please be mindful of how you feel this form. Total amount available for stay should be a little bit more than your tuition+10,000(Living expenses)+2,000 (transportation). Where is 34k coming from?.

Am very sure the visa officer won't even check your statement of account cos the information you gave already amount to insufficient funds.

My app is in going to its 17th week, my review of eligibility started showing processing first week in June and my background check changed to processing second week in July, so in my case, stage 3 started before stage 2. Expecting my medical mail to drop soon. The truth is we don't know how CIC process applications, we can't even try to guess how they process it. Let's just keep praying, hoping and speaking positive things concerning our applications. The wait is killing though but God's favor will keep speaking for us. It will end in praise

Bro in your own case, I believe you will get a an approval very soon. Background checks goes back to 'I n progress' as soon as a decision is about to be made.

What is your eligibility status saying?

What is your background check saying?

What is your additional document review saying?.

I think we should all understand these questions to know the stage of our application so that we can reduce the pressure and relax a bit.

CIC has stated clearly the stages to be:

Stage 1: First review

Stage 2: Background Check

Stage 3: Review of eligibility

Stage 4: Medical mail.

From my analysis so far, once your application get to stage 3 and remains there for a very long time, then you have a very good chance of getting approval. So far, from what I have observed, applications at this stage usually get positive response.

If nothing has changed on your application and processing time has passed, I will advise you keep sending reminder mails to CIC. Attach screenshot of your online tool as well.

I believe God will show up in this coming week. Congrats to all of us waiting for trv.

Background check starts with not applicable, turns to 'in progress' for a while, turns again to not applicable when your application when your application get to 'review of eligibility stage' and ends with completed.

NB: This is what I have noticed from my application so far.

As at last year, medical request doesn't translate to TRV approval. Several applications were denied even after medical request.

I have not seen such cases this year. There is now a little bit of assurance that your visa will be approved after medical request.

Accounting and HRM isn't correlated. Though you may have HR experience, I want you to understand that it may be a bit difficult to get visa with MHRM considerivisit.ur background and based on past experiences here However, a good, SOP may be your strength.

An MBA with business certifications including trainings and relevant documentations could help cover your wide study here.and help tackle purpose of visit.

Had 3 admissions, uregina for Masters in HRM, UNBC for MBA and Vancouver Island uni for dual MSc and MBA...I chose UREGINA FOR mhrm which is closest to what I want and do

Applied for visiting in March with my hub without LOE cos we wanted to do a quick scout of Canada. Was rejected

So applied for my student visa this time with SOP sample I got from the forum and mentioned former rejection to Canada and US of long ago.

I have current visa to US, (am a bit widely traveled so old passports and visas included) about 4m in the Naira account with 10m educational insurance and lots of landed docs

The only reason for refusal ticked is purpose of travel...

I think I shouldn't have added my 5 year old to the application ( He's Nigerian) despite all the letters from his school and the other siblings schools
The other two siblings don't need immediate visas ( America and irish)
And I think my SOP was not tight enough

My questions are

1. Can I still meet the Sept batch if I apply again..this time I will do online. I don taya for paper route and it's attendant stress
2. Can I reapply immediately without them raising an eyelid..what's the best time lag to give
3. Can the SOP gurus ps kindly look at my old SOP and advise where I went wrong...


I really don't want to do 30- 40 days waiting for gcms note because of reasons above... I can still order though if so necessary
. It's obvious my chances would be increased if I apply alone...

Its funny because it has been on review stage for over a month now. Only God knows what they are reviewing. Applied April 25.

I just logged into my cic account and saw that my application was refused based on the ineligibility criteria. I am still expecting my package so that I will know what the reason is for the rejection. I paid my full tuition and had 8000usd in my dorm account for over a year for living expenses. I even included my my naira account with over 5m. Employment letter, introduction letter, payslips were all included.
I suspect that the reason might be because I already earned a Master's in the UK and applying for the same level of study. But I did not do well enough to secure a PhD admission and so I decided to repeat the masters.
Well, I will explore other study destinations, repeat the masters, then my next application will be with a PhD admission.
