I was trying to figure out why rural areas do have dusty roofs

One would argue the presence of trees would have served as a buffer

Photo taken during harmattan. It's not normally dusty.

Politics / Re: Seyi Law Under Attack For Calling Gbadebo Rhodes-vivour Son Of A Returned Slave by Abagworo(m): 5:57pm On Mar 15
opamoses1:

LMAO. Their tribe and culture in lagos is Yoruba. Lagos is encircled by egbas and Ijebus. That's what GRV and many people like yourself are failing to understand. Even a Yoruba man from Togo or Benin Republic will blend and fit more easily into Lagos than a Nigerian called Chinedu.

You are going off point. My comment is on freedom of Lagosians to handle their own affairs and be what they want to be. I know they are mostly Yoruba with Fon at extreme left but people from Osun and Ogun especially are suffocating them and they should breath a little air of freedom.
Politics / Re: Seyi Law Under Attack For Calling Gbadebo Rhodes-vivour Son Of A Returned Slave by Abagworo(m): 4:20pm On Mar 15
What Igbos never did but are always accused of is what Yorubas have always done and nobody sees anything wrong. Allowing Lagos natives control their State politics is not a wrong doing to Yoruba race but assurance of equity for all. Lagos people can even choose to be their own independent tribes which should be respected by all.

Politics / Re: Biafra War Was 3 Years Boko Haram 17 Years & Counting??? by Abagworo(m): 9:12pm On Mar 13
KnowAll:
Nigeria won the Biafra war comprehensively within 3 years, yet the war against a rag tag Boko Haram has been going on for 17 years. It looks to me like some powerful person’s are profiteering from this unfortunate insurrection.

Same thing with Banditry, going on for nearly 8 years and counting no end to this menace, seems our military and other security apparatus are bereft of ideas of how to put an end to this phenomenon.

What is happening 🤔

Because there was actually no Biafran war but rather ethnic vengeance on a targeted ethnic group declared enemy by all. If Nigeria had declared Kanuri enemy, surrounded her territory and did the Black Scorpion theory on everything that walks , the war wouldn't last 6 months. To me it is a lesson for historians on what to call that thing termed Biafran war and what to call this Boko Haram war in order to reflect the true happenings.

Yes it's true . Abia is ahead of Lagos presently in propaganda and hype. I didn't say Otti is not trying but he should mellow down on propaganda cause that's more or less self deceit and unprogressive. He has done nothing compared with his predecessor who refused to spend money on propaganda.

Looks more like a local gun manufacturing community than a militant group. The details of this encounter will surely be known in future and how could IPOB be in Delta State?

Many States already have power plants but the national distribution method is what stands Geometric out. Geometric is the only one allowed to distribute its own generated power directly to consumers instead of feeding the National grid.

Politics / Re: Umahi Threatens To Revoke Benin-Sapele-Ologbo Road Contract Over Shoddy Job by Abagworo(m): 1:31pm On Mar 10
PointZerom:

If the price of cement had reduced drastically after the contract was awarded, would they had refunded some money to the government?

If they were paid 100% then what Umahi is doing would have made sense but what Government does is mobilize you phase by phase and mind you the first so called mobilization is where the contractor pays kickbacks from after which he has to source funds from bank at certain interest rate. If there's delay in payment after completion of one phase then his debt will continue to pile up.

When those contracts were awarded the price of cement was 3,500 Naira. Upward review is imminent following 300% inflation.

People profiting from the war will never allow its end. As Africans we should also be aware that an end to the war means the start of another war in Africa to enrich the weapons manufacturers.

Mkst laymen don't know what contractors go through. Umahi himself knows cause he was a contractor until he became Governor and ironically most of the roads he built with cement are nothing to write home about while he condemns the job of others who are owed after being mobilized with Dollar at 400 Naira.

This is Owerri and there’s no where like this in Anambra.

Are you gonna deny that this is not Owerri ?

Owerri is a slum and ghetto full of okada. Facts don’t lie. Painted pictures

Okada business thrives in Owerri

Chino anywhere you see Okada is definitely not Owerri. Okada was stopped by Ohakim administration and Keke was stopped by Okorocha administration.

Owerri is more beautiful than most Nigerian cities but falls short of international standard. At least no tricycle or Okada in the city makes it sane to drive in.

Once insecurity is fully tackled Owerri will be back as the fastest growing city in Nigeria. The hospitality industry suffered serious setback since 2021 after the prison break.

Have ever heard of any community that have been displaced in the South-East? Have you seen any community gather to bury people allegedly killed by IPOB in the South East? How many Igbos have you heard shouting that IPOB or ESN are massacaring them? Of course not!

Let's not get things twisted, this is all propaganda by the Nigerian Army to make themselves look good. Everyone has their own security challenges but this deliberate attempt to make the South East look bad when far worse is happening in all 3 geopolitical zones in the North with such level of military operations is just laughable.

That your community wasn't displaced doesn't mean all communities are at peace. The entire areas of Orsu in Imo and Anambra were displaced with most of the people taking refuge in cities and deserting their villages. To such people this is a good news if the security is maintained.

When I saw that the "headquarters" was in a valley "5000" feet BELOW sea level, I knew something was wrong. There is no such place in the SOUTH-EAST. Even the top of udi hills is just about 3500 feet above sea level with the valley being maybe 2000feet above sea level. Here they are talking of 5000ft BELOW SEALEVEL!

There is at the base of Orashi river washed away by activities of erosion and porous soil around the Orsu area between Imo and Anambra.
