safarigirl: if a child is meant to die, it WILL die, make una forget these stats. NOTHING happens without God's endorsement...even accidents

well if (according to your statement)its endorsed by God for 78 babies to die for every 1000 live births in Nigeria while the figure is just 6 in the U.S won't you prefer to take your chances in the U.S?(if you had the opportunity)

montelik:

Strootman. He seems to have more to his game from what I have heard.

i think u r right, strootman is the more technically proficient of the 2 but though he is strong for the dutch league he is not the physical specimen that wanyama is

United said to be interested in both Wanyama and Strootman but to acquire only one of them.who would u guys prefer to come to Old Trafford

de gea could have done better with the shot, maybe parried it further away from goal.however rafael has to learn how to protect his keeper from rebound goals,he is usually caught ball watching in such situations(made d same mistake against bilbao last season)
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 1:21am On Jan 13
nice one,i am happy for him.if he can defeat his injuries he would be a good addition to the squad with his ability to play both full back positions.
the da silva fullback combo might still take place at United
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 7:18pm On Dec 26, 2012
With both rooney and ashley young out injured and welbeck down with illness SAF hands were tied a bit concerning Giggs(and he had one of his best games of recent times).the only issue is i might have preferred TomC to start ahead of Scholes in order to prevent the 2 oldies starting together or preferably Carrick n Fletcher so dt Cleverly can rest(not sure of Fletcher's fitness though).
Fact is SAF always rotates around this period when games come thick and fast
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 8:30pm On Dec 23, 2012
carrick was very good help but he needs more help in protecting the defence
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe by afrodoc(m): 6:03pm On Dec 23, 2012
he appears to be regaining some of his old form but fact remains that most of his recent goals have not been through just "vertical" passes and quick release from the Chelsea half.he is scoring the same chances he has been missing for almost 2years.Torres problems were of his own making and only he can solve them
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 5:22pm On Dec 23, 2012
i remember when we had d valencia debate last season and guys were defending him.fact is u can be so predictable if u r in d backwater called Wigan but in United where every team studies and prepares for you like its a final u will be found out, just a matter of time.
a mitigating factor is dat it seems he has been slowed by injuries dis season, however its clear to all dat rafael makes his job a whole lot easier
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 4:42pm On Dec 23, 2012
i have always been uncomfortable with valencia's overwhelming dependence on his right foot, its a serious shortcoming dt i felt would count against him in the long run.i hope its just a blip in form but it seems that fullbacks have finally realized that if u take out d outside channel u nullify him as a real threat.PLUS phil jones is no rafael as a wing play partner
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 4:37pm On Dec 23, 2012
rooney and valencia were both poor,it was as if they were having a 'stink up the place" competition(i think rooney won btw).
its also very obvious that despite carrick's best efforts there is little protection for the back 4 from d midfield.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 8:22pm On Dec 09, 2012
i agree most of d players did rily well.
de gea was more solid in aerial situations and was blameless for the 2 goals
rafael is becoming mr dependable and evra seems more interested in defending these days than just bombing down d flank.
rio n evans is a good partnership and smalling is an able deputy.
however i believe a major factor in our surviving their periods of domination was the solidity offered by carrick and cleverly in midfield(carrick's postioning and judicious use of the ball and cleverly's running and ability to both see d pass and also make himself available for d pass).
rooney had a few poor touches midway tru d 2nd half but overall was very impressive, young had his best game in a long while,RVP was a bit quiet but was involved in d buildup to one goal and scored d winner.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 6:04pm On Dec 09, 2012
montelik: Saw this on-line.

cheesy
nice! yeah i know u cant teach an old dog new tricks.i am not expecting him to go on slalom runs with the ball on his left foot but the occasional left foot cross( or even the threat of using it) and the occasional left foot pass to a team mate just 5 yards away would be nice.he does practically NOTHING with his left foot and ALL his opponents know this
PLUS even giggsy modified his game at an older age and was able to remain effective(and i am not talking about the giggs of the last 2years o)
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 5:12pm On Dec 09, 2012
i remember saying last season valencia had to develop his game especially when forced to go to his left.there is a limit to how far he can go with this his "kori to the right" style.....just too one dimensional

slimyem: I don't take my words back...
My callousness is justified as you do not understand how much and how many equally INNOCENTS,DECENTS and UPRIGHTS the likes of the debated and their shameless lives which birthed this discussion have stained irredeemably.
Even the bible says HE will visit the sins of the fathers upon the son up till the third generation...
.
....or are you not one of the men of the school of thought that ALL Nigerian girls are BB-chasing,Sugar-daddy loving, Brazillian-hair crazy, slutty and can do anything for money?
This is one of the ways i can vent, please let me!
1) THE BIBLE said that, are YOU now the voice of God? so u r visiting the sins of Bisi on her baby? how nice of you.
2)lets apply facts and logic here, wat makes you think i believe ALL nigerian girls r sluts? hav i given u any reason to believe that? some of the most brilliant classmates i had were girls who were also decent and i as a rule NEVER GENERALIZE.
3)also ur words look a bit angry, there has to b reason for that.but pls dont let prior experiences turn u to b dat angry black woman.
lastly i repeat that there is no reason why you should ABUSE A BABY no matter what the parents have done to u
P.S saying "i dont take back my words",thats pride talking and not reason.i am not saying u should flip flop like Romney but everybody is wrong once in a while, and we should all have the humility to accept when we made a mistake.

slimyem: MAYBE I WAS CALLOUS but i had my reason and i don't care if anyone feel it right or not.
If the deranged goats up there had an issue with my post, they'd have taken your route.
Contrary to what you thought their reasons were for barking, its more because of the likes of the debated that has made them see every woman like the b1tches in their lives .
Somebody questioned my post sanely and i answered appropriately just like i have you.
well its gud we try to depart from this INSULTVILLE dt NL has become.u agreed u may have been callous,as long as u remember u were callous towards THE INNOCENT BABY and not the parents.apart from DAMIEN and ROSEMARY'S BABY smiley i can't think of any baby that deserves abuse at birth .insult the parents all u like, but the baby? i have taken delivery of possibly hundreds of babies and the one thing that strikes me every time is how INNOCENT and HARMLESS we all are at birth.
no matter how its spun, saying a newborn baby is going to be a slut or LovePeddler is a terrible thing to say

@slimyem i believe u got the response u got cos of d callous way you implied an innocent newborn baby was going to b wayward or a slut....
ur anger against the mother is understood by many but that shouldn't extend to u talking abt a baby in such a mean manner.
and regarding the apple not falling far from d tree there r countless examples in history of children who were polar opposites of their parents in both positive and negative ways.lastly who are we to judge, especially when the person we are judging is a day old baby who is yet to master breathing?

with this formation we control the midfield better and also protect the back 4 better, problem with it is that most of our creativity goes out the window as well.
its really a 4-3-1-2 (with Rooney being the 1 behind chicharito n RVP) NO WINGERS and a very strong central midfield

and ticklishmummy pharmacies are allowed to and should stock rohypnol,it is just a sedative/anxiolytic/muscle relaxant like Valium and Lexotan.
stocking it on their shelves in no way contravenes the law and they shouldn't b vilified for that.their error was handing it to those guys without prescription(and by the way there a 1001 ways those guys could have come by a prescription too if they had to).
lets look at what really happened here.
1)the pharmacists sold SLEEPING TABLETS to someone without prescription.an unethical and unprofessional act which nevertheless is carried out by possibly more than 50 percent of pharmacies in the country.
is this the same as MURDERING or CONSPIRING TO MURDER someone? NO
2)lets not forget that this drug did not actually cause this poor woman's death, she was BEATEN to death.
the moment Cynthia was in the hotel room with those beasts she was doomed.what that drug did was enable them To Molest her repeatedly, they would have beaten her to death with or without the drug

Ticklishmummy: £

Thank you very much for this.I realised there were some really insightful comments on this thread and they did make a point.I do not claim to be perfect but that is not an excuse for anyone to insult me,I take objection to that and would not condone it.
We can all make meaningful contributions and make others see the point we are trying to make without being spiteful. In the part of the world where I stay, things like this are not taken lightly.I am pretty sure no matter how little it might have been they would have gotten some correctional purnishment (and their licence revoked immediately)because their carelessness has indirectly contributed to loss of life and it should serve as a warning to other who ply this line of trade.I might have come across as being sentimental in my line of reasoning but that should never be percieved as a weakness which is what has happened today on this thread.
So what if these guys had their licence revoked and then they go to another part of the country, open a chemist and they start these whole isshh again, cos by then anyway they wouldn't be liable for anything that happens to anyone(afterall they already have their licence revoked) so whose fault would it be?Truth is issues like these have to be properly addressed with a view to avoiding a further occurrence, its not like 100 people were involved in this case which means if they had to narrow the people involved they will still be named because they chose(as they would probably have always done) to sell controlled drugs without insisting on a prescription.
All being said, since there is so much faith in the pharmaceutical council I can only wait and see how this whole thing turns out but I honestly hope I would not have to say "but I said it then..."

well stated but i dont agree fully with you.cos its not the job of a judge to correct the mistakes of the Nigerian system.the judge can't say "oh because i know PCN won't do a good job in punishing this 2 men for NEGLIGENCE and MALPRACTICE and because i know they won't ensure these guys do not practice again if stripped of their licence i should convict them of MURDER".
things are not done like that.u can't wrongfully convict a man of a greater crime cos u suspect he will go unpunished for a lesser crime.

@ticklish i am not trying to insult u or anything but don't u think its wrong to just say "this is my opinion and i am not willing to listen to any other point of view"? u should read the posts of the guys i mentioned earlier i.e coogar, babymama e.t.c on dis matter.and an informative and useful discourse would be achieved if u respond to those that have outlined d reasons why they disagree with you rather than responding to those who are just exchanging insults with u

[quote author=ESULAALU]

Perhaps if we had to look into how Micheal Jackson's life ended then we might be able to pick some similarites no matter how small it is.

Look, let me tell you something, its so easy to judge from afar,if any one us commenting now was in that family's shoe,we will leave no stone unturned to ensure that those guys get purnished for that misdeed and we might possibly be looking at a jail term for them here.

Whether you like it or not or choose to accept, they have sold controlled drugs over the counter which has ultimately led to loss of life, whether or not other factors were involved is an addition, the drugs served as the foundation. This they could have avoided if they had done the right thing. I almost lost my life, in this same Nigeria all thanks to a 'qualified doctor' prescibing a drug which was already banned in most european countries all cos they wanted to control my blood pressure. So what would do you think my children would have done if I lost my life? Do you think the doctor would not have been held accountable? Forget about malpractice now, many people lost their lives because of things like this(I just had to tell my story) and it has to be addressed and as as matter of fact not just by the pharmaceutical council alone cos if they revoke their licence how about the millions of other chemists turned pharmicists over night, who sell postinor to pregnant women when it should be a contraceptive?

esulaalu lets get some things straight
1)michael jackson was killed by the dangerous cocktail of drugs including Propofol and some BZDs (not rohypnol in case u were wondering )
2)u were almost killed by the dangerous drug prescribed by the doctor.thank God u survived and recovered
3)Rohypnol DID NOT KILL Cynthia, she was bludgeoned to death! no matter how it is twisted these guys messed up but there r not murderers.
the law is specific,u cant just charge and convict everybody who did something wrong in a series of terrible actions for the worst crime of one of the perpetrators.
4)it seems there is even no evidence to show that those particular pharmacists were the specific ones who sold the drugs to the killers.

people just comment out of wild emotion or sometimes ignorance.Alcohol is the the most common date molestation substance being used between 4 to 6 times as much as ALL benzodiazepines put together(and rohypnol is just one of several BZDs).
remember that this is a drug which is used to treat insomnia, anxiety e.t.c and this is is the use to which it is most put to.those guys could have as well used Lexotan or Valium or GULDER to incapacitate the girl, would people still come here to ask the pharmacists be charged for murder for selling Valium or BEER to customers? they should be punished NO DOUBT but for the right offence and by the appropriate authority.a murder charge is akin to killing an ant with an axe
