A young Cameroonian man based in the United States (US) has been reported dead. The deceased, identified as Donald DonPrince but popularly known as DJ Tambe, was reported to have slumped and died just hours after losing his best friend. The deceased had on Wednesday, January 17, taken to his Facebook handle to mourn the death of his late friend and closest colleague. In the deceased’s post to his late friend, he disclosed that he was the man who convinced him to stay in Maryland as there are lots of job opportunities for him. Late DonPrince’s post reads: “One of his biggest wish was for me to move to Maryland. He took me around. Introduced me to his family and friends at high places. Helped me with a great strategy I still use today. ‘Boy na here the money de he says’. Nothing sweet and remains in the mouth. Big lost for International Khati Khati chicken ltd. May his soul continue to Rest In Peace. DJ Tambe.” One of his last posts on Facebook on that fateful day reads: “Don’t worry about what I’m doing, worry about why you’re worried about me. Gist #THEHOTJEM.” Also one of late DonPrince's friend, Mac Chaz shared their picture on Facebook with the caption: "Barely 6 hours ago, you left my office with your wife after a new year start up meeting. 40 minutes later you go into your room and die? No be so my brother.. Don, no be so.. that’s not what we planned and talked about. I wasn’t going to post anything till I confirmed the story and I just left the hospital. You brought 250 dollars and a plate of suya to my office and that suya is still in my office and the money is still on the table. My brother is that how you do? Don! Go in peace." Senator Dino Melaye, who represents Kogi West Senatorial district, yesterday shocked his colleague and alot of Nigerians after he went down on his knees.. This was to beg his colleagues in the senate to save the people of Kogi state as they are currently in perilous times to the point that they have been label internally displaced persons.. The senator told his colleagues that civil servants in the state are being owed many months salaries. He then made reference to the 54 year old director in the state civil service, Edward Soje, who was owed 11 months salary and recently committed suicide after his wife of 17 years welcomed a set of male triplets. Dino also made reference to the viral video of an elder couple weeping over the loss of their child who required medical attention that they could not afford because the man is being owed many months salary. A Ugandan Member of Parliament, identified as Abraham Abiriga, has been fined by a court in the capital, Kampala, for causing a public nuisance by urinating in public after pictures of the incident were widely shared on social media. According to reports, he was given a fine of 40,000 Ugandan shillings ( $10, £5) for the 25 September incident near the gate of the ministry of finance.. With thousands watching outside the Catalan parliament and millions watching across the world, Mr Puigdemont said: "The ballots say Yes to independence this is the will that I want to go forward with. "At this historical moment as the president of Catalonia, I want to follow people's will for Catalonia to become an independent state." His speech, which was delayed by an hour, was largely focused on the violence during the referendum as the Catalan leader proposed further dialogue with the government in Madrid as the region works towards independence. He said: "We propose to suspend the effect of the independence declaration... in order to work towards putting into practice the result of the referendum... Today, we are making a gesture of responsibility in favour of dialogue." Laying out the “consequences” of the referendum, Mr Puigdemont told the assembly: “Today I am here in front of Catalonia and in front of the world. “Spain made us small, but Catalonia is a European affair." He called for a de-escalation of the violence seen across the region in recent weeks. “I’m not going to make any threats, the situation is really serious and we have to assume our responsibilities. "We need de-escalate the situation, not feed it any longer. I want to address everyone about the issue. "We are all part of the same community and we need to go forward together. We will never agree on everything, but we have proved many times that the only way to move forward is with democracy and peace. “We have to have dialogue and we have to be empathetic towards each other.” However, he condemned the police violence seen during the referendum. Mr Puigdemont said; “I want to explain now why we are here. I think we should explain ourselves. Since the death of the dictator Franco, Catalonia has contributed massively to Spanish democracy. “Catalonia thought the 1978 Spanish constitution could be a good platform for democracy, and got involved. But later, we realised that the Spanish authorities were seeing this as the final target, but for us, it was a transition. “In 2005, 85 per cent of this parliament, following the procedures that the constitution establishes, approved a new statue for Catalonia, and that triggered a massive anti-Catalan campaign by the people that want to govern and dominate Spain at any price.” He went on to address the Spanish people in an attempt to get the country to understand Catalonia's position in the independence row. Switching from Catalan to the Spanish language, he said: "We are not criminals, we are not mad. We are normal people, and we just want to vote. We have been ready to talk and have dialogue. "We have nothing against Spain. We want to have a better understanding with Spain. The relationship hasn’t been working for many years, and now it’s unsustainable." According to reports by Olisa Blogazine, this is coming after 9 successful seasons of sponsoring the reality show. This development was made known to by a source close to the show producers, Ultima Limited — the same company that produced the now-defunct educational show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. According to Olisa Blogazine, the source hints that the telecoms company would be cancelling its support started last year after the successful completion of the 9th season which saw Okiemute Ighorodje emerging as the winner. For the 10th season slated for this year, it was rumoured that old contestants would be back to compete, but that plan had yet to materialise before the title sponsor, MTN, decided to withdraw their support. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it has made about six attempts to serve Senator Dino Melaye with the notice of petition as directed by the court. This comes amid tension to recall Senator Melaye who represents Kogi West Senatorial District, following purported sought by members of his constituency. The senator had approached a court to stop his recall exercise by the electoral umpire, claiming that the decision was politically motivated. Following a court ruling which directed INEC to continue with the exercise, the Commission, in a statement, accused the lawmaker of frustrating its efforts. This was made known by the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Solomon Soyebi, who told Channels Television on Thursday that attempts to serve the lawmaker had been futile. He said when he appeared on Politics Today; “We have not been able to serve him just like you rightfully observed, we’ve made about six different attempts to serve Senator Dino Melaye the documents that the court said we should make available to him,” Soyebi, however, said INEC was not frustrated by Senator Melaye’s refusal to be served but would instead, await the outcome of the decision of the appeal filed by the lawmaker, in deference to the rule of law. A church congregant has been caught on camera stealing money from the offering bowl during offertory time in Ghana. According to reports, the rather well dressed man tried pulling a fast one church in Accra over the weekend, but ran out of luck.. The video of the incident which surfaced online and subsequently gone viral shows the well-dressed and unsuspecting gentle man pretending dropping his offering in the bowl, but as shown in the video, he rather picked the money already in the bow and quickly put it in his pocket. An Italian woman on Monday tied the knot with herself in a lavish ceremony complete with white dress, three-layer wedding cake, bridesmaids and 70 guests. According to the couple, identified as a 40-year-old fitness trainer, Laura Mesi, she did it to show to others to love themselves.. She said; "I firmly believe that each of us must first of all love ourselves," "You can have a fairytale even without the prince." The ceremony carries no legal weight. But Ms Mesi is part of a growing trend for self-marriage - dubbed "sologamy" - in countries around the world. Proponents of such ceremonies say it is about self-love and acceptance, and claiming the social affirmation normally reserved for couples who wed. Laura says the idea of a solo wedding came to her two years ago, after a 12-year relationship ended. She told La Repubblica newspaper; "I told friends and family that if I had not found my soul-mate by my 40th birthday I would marry myself," "If one day I find a man with whom I can plan a future I'll be happy, but my happiness does not depend on him." Ms Mesi says she is the first Italian woman to hold a solo ceremony. In May, a man, Nello Ruggiero, said "yes" to himself in a ceremony in Naples. The actress also admitted taken several photos with the artiste in a bed room whiles on his US tour but nothing intimate happened between the two. Afia Odo explained that she has been in the snaps of Shatta Wale for very long time and therefore does not believe it’s something Mitchy is worried about. An 8 year old Californian boy has been reported dead after he was beaten to death by his mother's ex-boyfriend while he was trying to protect his younger sister from molestation. The deceased little hero, Dante Daniels was attacked by Deandre Chaney Jr., 23, with a hammer on September 1st in South Sacremento, California. According to a criminal report, Chaney Jr. was engaged in the crime of committing a lewd act on Danae, Dante's seven-year-old sister. Trying to save his sister from this child molester, and that's why he was beat the worst,' said Dante's grandmother, Monique Brown, to KFVS 12. The suspect also used a hammer and knife on Danae, as well as their mother, 28-year-old Elizabeth Salone. He is also said to have used lighter fluid. Dante was declared brain dead following the attack and died six days later. Both his sister and mother survived, but Brown has said that Monique won't be able to see out her left eye and Danae will need a lot of help. And the grandmother believes her little one is a hero, even after death. Brown added; 'Dante gave his heart to a 4-year-old In Southern California, so a 4-year-old lives because of [him],' Along with murder and attempted murder charges, Chaney Jr. also faces a charge for lewd acts with a child under 14. Singer, Selena Gomez has left her fans stunned after revealing she underwent a kidney transplant over the summer. The 25-year-old pop star and actress has suffered from lupus - a chronic autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system - since 2015. And the condition led her to undertaking drastic surgery in the summer of 2017. In an open Instagram update, the star shared an image of herself on a hospital bed following her treatment. She wrote; I’m very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn’t promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health. I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you. Until then I want to publicly thank my family and incredible team of doctors for everything they have done for me prior to and post-surgery. And finally, there aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis. Lupus continues to be very misunderstood but progress is being made.
