Yeah I bought one about 3 weeks ago. Almost all electronics goes through NIPOST.

Ask the seller to declare it as books or other thing than phone. Else it will be lost or stolen.

Well thankfully the phone arrived but only because it was not declared as mobile phone.

Please, what is this image in my photo?

Yesterday I posted a throwback of my photo from seven years ago after Facebook posted it on my memory. After I posted it here, a Nairalander came and noticed the image asd asked me who's was that?... guys for the past seven years I never noticed that image was there for once. So I thought...
🤔 could he have edited and put it there because nairalanders never cease to amaze me. I quickly went to my photo gallery to check the original photo and still saw it there. I had to take it down and crop out that part in order not to derail my thread yesterday.

I called my twin and showed her, that wan begin dey fear 😂😂😂 say why should I bring up such pics this kind night? .. hmmm. I allayed her fears and dropped the call.

Please who can explain the image on the top left corner of this photo? The part I eclipsed in red.

Please give me credit for observing it. And how could I have edited your picture.

Maybe I was a little hasty. My latest parcel, shipped through Singapore Post/NIPOST has moved to received by local delivery company.

First out of three parcels that have gotten this far. fingers crossed that it reaches me.

There is/are a very rotten fish(es) in EMS Nigeria that steals all electronics sent through them.

Prove me wrong.

In this case what's the solution?

If the Singapore Post tracking doesnt change for 10 days at a stretch, the only thing is to wait for purchase protection to expire. The purchase will be protected as long as the tracking shows that it has not be delivered.

The only problem is the time. It takes 60 days.

Technology Market / Re: This Thread Is Only For Aliexpress Shopper by chardyni(m): 2:00pm On Dec 12, 2023
This is Singapore Post/NIPOST.

All electronics shipped will be stolen/lost. This is just 11 days after shipping but it will never move on from this point.

We're in it together!

I guess they don't have enough parcels that'd necessitate immediate departure of their cargo flights. Therefore, they have to wait so they could add more parcels....

Was surprised to see my 11.11 order, shipped via Signpost, arrive earlier that it's Speedaf counterpart....

One disadvantage of using Speedaf in recent times - unnecessary delay of shipment.

I guess it's not a mobile phone or electronics?

My brother you are not alone, I bought mine on 11-11 and it was shipped withing two days, the tracking was moving smoothly until it got stuck departing Singapore since 18th Nov. and has not move since, when I asked the seller he assured that I will get on the promised date but I doubt that. Anyways fingers crossed.

Just plan for opening dispute in 60 days. Especially if it is mobile phone or electronics. Seems it is lost or stolen in between Singapore and Lagos. Could be Singapore Post staff or NIPOST.

I am talking from experience of having lost three (now four) mobile phones to these scoundrels.

My advice is next time you are buying electronics ask the seller to declare it as a book.

It can be frustrating, really.......

Perhaps, the trick I use while ordering mobile phones does work for me because, not a single item of my mobile phone orders which arrived the country was not delivered......

I alway tell seller not to declare my item as "mobile phone" in order to avoid suspicion, and it works.

Good idea. Unfortunately, I will have to wait till February to try it.

Ensure that you get your facts ready before jumping into conclusion.....

I ordered the 'Anker Soundcore Motion Boom' speaker for somebody during the AliExpress 11.11 sales. As am typing this, the person has received the parcel, which was delivered through Nipost. Them no steal am!

Anker speaker is not as valuable as a mobile phone.

Three times I have ordered and once departed from transit country into Nigeria, it stopped tracking. And I didn't receive and had to wait 60 days to recover my money.

There's no possibility of lost item? If the screenshot you posted earlier is the latest update, that's telling you the package didn't arrive 9ja.

As much as I'm not holding brief for NIPOST, some things ain't just right. You can't conclude that all items not delivered were/are stolen by NIPOST.

In the last 6 months, I've had 3 bad scenarios with Speedaf; all of which my packages arrived 9ja. 1 lost in their lastmile office (Ikeja; 7k worth, let go cuz we have a good rapport), one lost on it's way to the last mile (NE state; won dispute), the last one was the one with mass lost of items last week (AliExpress pends my dispute till Dec ending; 30k worth).

With the last week declaration by Speedaf that items were lost (at least, 3 people confirmed they received such mail), should we now say Speedaf had stolen all those packages too?

Ever since I've been using NIPOST (both for local and international), I've had only 4 cases of lost/stolen/extraction and I've sent nothing less than 900 packages (mails, parcel and cargo) locally with NIPOST.

There is a friend that got an "arrival at destination country" update about 300 days after shipment. That's simply saying, some of these issues are not NIPOST issues.

NIPOST is in partnership with Singapore Post. Whether the item was lost or stolen is irrelevant. I bought an item and didn't receive it. And had to wait 60 days before getting my money back. not to talk of the sellers loss or maybe insurance paid them.

The fact is that NIPOST has Nigerian factor. Once an item reaches entry point. tracking stops.

how did you know it was stolen oga

If I pay for an item and don't receive it 7 months later, it implies stolen.

The time frame you described is too short. For Singapore post items you need to wait at least a month from arrival and clearance in Lagos before expecting delivery.
Singapore post items are registered anyway,so you should be safe when it comes to opening a dispute.Your parcel is on the way unless there is a hardened thief at your local post office.

When experience talks.

This is just one out of three electronics purchases I can still lay hold on the tracking number.

Why did you leap to such a conclusion so quickly. I fear Nigerians. They can just label you a thief for the flimsiest of reasons and start beating you.Patience is a virtue.

If you have not lost an electronic item to NIPOST like I have three times, then you don't have the right to make such comment.

Everytime I buy mobile phones I pray that it is not shipped through Singapore Post.

All I want to know is if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

Is anyone expecting any electronics shipped through Singapore Post/NIPOST.

I made an order a week ago and as expected NIPOST has stolen it once it entered Lagos.

Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

You should have asked for a refund the package never got to Nigeria

I have gotten back my money but I really wanted the phone.

Since March, I have ordered two phones. One with $2 shipping and one with $13 shipping. Both went through Singapore Post.

Needless to say that I did not recieve. But if it is SpeedAF, only two weeks or less.

My package, shipped by Singapore Post, has been in one place since March 16.

https://global.cainiao.com/detail.htm?spm=a2d0j.7922267.0.0.7ec14141Xv0KAW&mailNoList=RB263881995SG

God will not forgive NIPOST.

One thing people need to know is that when it comes to mobile phones and some other items, Aliexpress ships exclusively using Signpost. Hence, no amount of pleading with seller could change that fact.

Moreover, that you didn't receive your items doesn't mean Singapore post is bad. All the mobile phones I've got from AliExpress were shipped by the logistics company, and they were successfully delivered. For the ones that didn't arrive, I had to settle for a refund.

In a nutchel, it's all about luck.

I bought a phone two years ago and it was shipped with SpeedAF. received it in under two weeks.

Two phone I bought shipped with Singapore Post were lost.

Why should we play lottery with what we bought. Imaginr waiting 75 days to receive your refund. Did the money increase?

My package has been stuck at this point for over a week now, don't even know where it is. Any advice as to where it might be? The nipost site is not even helping

Please forget about the item. Especially if it is an electronic device.

I suggest that anyone buying should try and insist that the seller should not ship with Singapore Post.

I have already lost 2 phones and a total of 70 days with Singapore Post.

Hello all,

Purchased a phone around March 16th. The seller unfortunately used Singapore post.

Ever since the 24th of March, the tracking info has not updated past "Departed from transit country/region".

Is the package lost? I thought the customs strike has ended?

Any way forward.
