I am Chocolateme, been family here for long.

I am a low scale entrepreneur, I make Tigernut juice and Zobo drink. It has been really tough but I am not ever going to give up on anything. I started this business for months now with little or nothing. It is also very stressful but never for me. My slogan has always been "WE MOVE!!"

Last week, I prepared my market as usual, 50 bottles of Tigernut @1200 per bottle. I went to buy iced blocks for preserving it in the cooler.
I don't have a deep freezer so I depend on iced blocks for it daily. There has been serious and epileptic power supply since last year so we don't have light at all.

I got there only to realize that it isn't available, I went to more than 30 locations that morning crying and hoping yet I couldn't find. From Ago Palace way to Surulere searching for iced blocks, can you imagine how bad it was.. I came back 2 hours later, checked my Tiger Nuts to confirm my fear, lo and behold, all 50 bottles have spoilt. I could not hold tears back, thoughts filled my heart, had a tight nut in my throat. Could not focus at all. I was really devastated but We Move!

I am not asking the government for anything except to give us power supply, I have no freezer or generator but I am still fighting to survive, why then will they still want to cripple the small one I am managing?

I carried two big baskets of my cake to sell at the rally ground.

When I got there, there was a massive crowd on the ground, so many people thought it was a free cake for Obidients.

Immediately I brought my baskets down to start business, a man and his PA approached me to buy one of the two baskets of my cake for people to eat. I was so happy eh!

While we were counting to check the amount of cake in the basket, some people thought they've been asked to start collecting cake. Within 78 SECONDS, the two baskets became empty. Even my basket was broken.

I almost fainted due to the crowd. The man that ordered the cake came and calmed me down, asked me the total amount of the cakes, I told him and he gave me 100k and asked me to count out my money and give his PA the balance.

I was very happy and grateful especially because they were buying everything that people brought to sell, they kept buying and sharing with the Obedients so they won't be weary throughout the rally.

I met him in NYSC camp on the second day of camp, and we became friends but he wanted more than just being "friends" I seriously declined because of fear that it may be infatuation and the normal camp brief hookups and games.
He never relented, he persisted, I stood my ground even though I had feelings for him. Just protecting my heart and emotions. And wanted to know what happens when we leave camp.
I have a family friend from home, we are not close but our parents are and attend the same church. Hardly talks with her but we say hi once in a while. Coincidentally, she was in the same camp as me and we met and still say hi once in a while. A few days later, we started talking small talks starting from church stuff to camp gist.
I was supposed to meet my friend (the guy) on the Bonfire night so we sat together, gist, and catch fun that day. I cooked with my platoon members that night, I got tired but I rushed to the hostel to go and bath, freshen up and come back to the campground. I just laid on the bed to rest for a few minutes and slept off, when I opened my eyes, it was last 7 am the following morning lol. Missed calls from him almost banished my phone.
A few days to leave camp, my friend(the lady) kept telling me about meeting someone on that bonfire night, from her gist, it was love at first sight. She was eager to introduce him to me. Fast forwarded to after camp, we all found ourselves in the same city of the state but at different PPAs, we meet at CDs too. She invited me to her house to come and finally meet her guy. Lol. I went and surprisingly it's my friend(the guy) if you see the shock ehhh!!, He was more shocked than I was. All those while after camp, we communicate but not as before because I still refused to date him, just following my heart but he respected that and stopped pressuring me.
All I observed in their relationship is that she loved him way more than he loves her, she sacrifices all to the relationship but he was just not into her. She tells me everything when we talk on the phone or meet, and I encouraged her too. He doesn't cheat on her but he just doesn't feel the same way. I once called him to meet, I warned him to leave her if he couldn't reciprocate her love, he swore that he is trying to love her the same but it's not working but that he is trying to make her happy. She put a lot of energy into that relationship. We all later stopped communicating, life goes on you know. I never met or spoke with either of them since then till now (10 years later) I never told her that I knew him before they met nor did I tell her that he loved me and was after me before meeting her.
He told me then after we met at her house based on that introduction that he was tired of sitting on the grass waiting for me on that bonfire night, that when he knew I wasn't going to come out after not answering his numerous calls, he got angry. He saw a babe sitting on her own and he felt like talking, he walked up to her and initiated a conversation, then next thing she started calling him nonstop and all that, that he never knew she would fall this much in love with him. She told me the same thing about how they met. She said it was love at first sight for her.
Last year, a number chatted with me on WhatsApp but refused to disclose his identity, about three times. This month, the same number came again with checking up on me, I insisted and he opened up and it is him (the guy) hmmm.
Like 10 years later wow! I inquired about her, he said it never worked and that she is now married with about 3 or 4 kids, wow!! Cool.
Now he has come again. He still loves me and wants me forever. Years have passed you know. I don't know what to make out of this.

I'm a second year neurosurgical resident here in new Jersey prior to my residency in this program, I was a medical officer whose job Is not more demanding , I had a girlfriend who's always complaining of me not being there for her tho I give her money and always visiting her if I'm on shift even though I got limited time to prepare for a medical board exam to get into residency (USMLE) those know about the exam knows how crazy it was, a three steps examination.

She broke up with me for a guy she always call her friend..the heart break almost cost me my step 2 CK, life goes on. Here am I in neurosurgery, my first day was like hell imagine being in the O.R for 16 hrs straight without seeing the sun because they brought multiple patients who sustained brain injury during a road accident, I nearly cried, to my chief of surgery ..An attending surgeon it's like nothing I almost regretted being there and not going to family medicine or internal medicine.

This has made me so awful that if see me you'll think I'm a mad man...is either I'm in the O.R or I'm sleeping no time for family, Cinema, vacation, the girl Ioved has left me all because of time. I make money i don't have time to spend, money is now useless to me because there is no time to look after myself ..in the next 1hr I'll be in the middle of a surgery. It's just crazy, is this how I'll spend the rest of my life? No woman? It's frustrating .

Last week i collapsed in the middle of a surgery because we just finished removing a tumor In the right part of the brain barely two hours, I was sleeping when I got an urgent call to report to the O.R ... I'm now regretting choosing this program. Can a lady love a guy whose everyday life is like this? I think not.
