Hello, fella

It is very important to us to take this forum and thread very seriously and exploit the advantages that germany as a country has to offer us. Now that we will be exposed to first hand and state of the art facility and sound intellectual framework coupled with possibility of intership, the excuse that we are decapacitated in our fatherland to take advantages of the economic and social opprtunities and contribute our quota to national development will be reduced drastically.

It is very important for us to think beyond mere survival and take our study and exploit very seriously. Each and every individual need to develop his or her personal project or long term career goals and take it very seriously. There are a whole lot of opportunities back home but we lack the capacity to exploit the opportunitie. Germany could be our saving grace to provide us with the requisite skills, international exposure and technical expertise that we require to realise our aspiration. There is an element of greatness in all of us. The situation where a technician or craftman in china or india will be dictating ur destiny in nigeria is unacceptable. Also, a situation where a graduate of engineering programme find it difficult to manufacture a common toyor tooth pick is pure madness. A situation where we have become pure raw materials to the white man and symbols of living encyclopedias who are living failure is heart rendering

Ponder over all these and avoid irrelevant acrimony and bickering that are common among black pple. Let us take our destiny in our hand and take advantages of technological and knowledge transfer in our host country. Let us be good ambassadors. A word is enough for the wise.

Politics / Re: Aregbesola Wins In Osun Elections With Wide Margin by dcitizen1: 2:48pm On Aug 10, 2014
Let us congratulate the winner. Election has come and go. We have seen the power of stomach politics in south west nigeria. We have seen the power of the odourless fufu that rauf shared before the election to buy the future of a vast proportion of the electorate in the state. i donot want to believe that a vast proportion of the osun indigene are so poor that they queue for fufu despite having a vast arable land.

The government need to open up the agricultural sector so that a vast citizens of osun state can engage in farming to solve hunger problem and see beyond food for stomach politics.

The election was free becos it was devoid of harassment and intimidation of the electorate, however, it cannot be seen to be fair becos 34percent of the accredited voters out of a total sum of 1.5million voters decided the fate of the election. Dat is jst a minority number deciding the fate of vast majority of people.

The heavy security situation in osun was in order to forstall breakdown of law and order. South west region istroubled and flash point zone right from the independence and has witnessd two states of emergency- ekiti and oyo state. There were negative campaign from both sides of the parties instead of engaging themselve on the basis of campaign based on programmes and track record. There were threat of lives and propertie during the built up to the gubernatorial election and political thurgery and hooliganism. It shows a high level of desperation, grinding poverty, power tussle and political arrogancy on the part of nigerian politicians. If there were no security presence, mindless violence and blood will trail the outcome of the election. I give kudos to gej for his timely and thought provoking intervention in the state.

I pray and hope one day we will have sophisticated electorate that will vote on the basis of superior ideas not sentiment and propangada. 70 percent of our electorate are third class brains who lack the intellect to assess a candidates bf he get to power. Democracy thrives on information and some level of comfort. If the electorate receive incentives to vote, and lack the intellect to assess the electorate, it means democracy has failed.

Now is the time to see beyond 'agbiri' (longer throat) politics and vote candidates on the basis of superior ideas and programme as it is done in developed clans.

I congratulate rauf for his victory in the keenly contested election based on his welfare programme in the state. However , i salute omisore for his sheer determination, courage and grass root mobilisation against the incumbent governor despite media propangada to snare his reputation. He secured over 292 thousnad vote against the incument with 394 thousand vote. It shows that he is a grassroot mobilizer and credible candidates. To rauf, the battle is not over ,yet becos the victory was a narrow victory and omisore's capability is not enough to match the incumbency factor.

The election is also pointer to the fact that all allegation targeted at snaring omisore personality has bitten the dust and he is indeed a very credible person considering the number of vote that he secured at the just concluded election. We need the support and mobilisation strategy of omisore to be exported to lagos to dislogde apc in lagos state come 2015. The apc as a party is still enjoying its injury time in lagos.

Rauf should not rejoice over dis narrow victory becos a lot of work need to be done to redeem his image as an islamic fundamentalist becos of his unpopular educational policy in the state and he need to improve the welfare of the citizen by giving them a sustainable job for a life time instead of handout dat will increase the depth profile of the state.

Gej victory come 2015 will be a easy one. He will certainly secure 40 percent of osun which he lost in the last presidential election.

Celebrities / Re: Lagbaja Declines To Perform At Iyiola Omisore's Campaign Rally by dcitizen1: 7:07pm On Jul 27, 2014
my heart and conscience go to omisore. He is a competent man that has the capacity to transform osun state from the hand of an islamic bigot who is hell bent on selling the future and ignorance of a vast proportion of the osun state citizen to the arab nation thru his unification agenda of the same unform and ideology of living. This is jst a mad and senless innitiative form the islamic fundamentalist himself. Omisore is a liberal democract who has the intellectual capacity and 21 st century policy framework to tranform the state.

I doubt if the islamic fundamentalist governor has the initiative and creativity to tranform the state to a near paradise considering the huge resources at his disposal. He is jst increasing the size of government by creating a kangaroo employment dat is not sustainable. Graduates that will have found gainful employment in the agro-allied company and ict park are made to cut grass with a matchet for a living in the name of oh yes programme. his elephant projects are grandplan to build his dynasty , supplant the ordinary citizen who are third class brains and pay gratification to his godfather whose political end is fast approaching becos he is enjoying his injury time in lagos. Most of the ipo imo project and production of thesame school uniform for the kids are outsourced to his cronies and children in the name of welfare.
(nursery school mode of looting the treasury)

Osun state citizen, you need to wake up. This is 21st century and take your destiny into your own hands by voting wisely for a competent, visionary and revolutionay leader of all calibre instead of selling your vote to a limedock and bigot who donot understand the business and science of governance and cannot imagine life outside the circle of governance. osun residents , you need a job that is sustainable but not a job that will create 1year of comfort and everlasting sorrow. Be wise and donot allow the arab to impose a foreign god on you tru subvention received by the government to promote islamic ideology

I really appreciate your insight ful, balanced and objective perspective to this forum. It is very important for us to avoid any comment that will derail this important thread. Mature , sensible and thought-provoking comment should be encouraged. Huge number of factors influence one's choice to study at a particular university or college beyond mere ranking.

I will like to ask you some couple of questions:

What are the types of question that the visa officer asked you at the embassy? am anxiously awaiting your response. Thank you once again

Lagbaja dissappointed me for refusing to perform in omisore iyiola's campaign rally based on flimsy reason of alleged assassination of his mentor bola ige by omisore. He should have jst said that he is an apc member and stopped deceiving and deluding himself. When bola ige was hobnobbing with the power tha be, why did him call his mentor to order? When his mentor accepted an offer to serve in a portfolio dat the lack the requisite competencies, why didnot he call his mentor to order? When his mentor promised that he will turn stone to bread when he accepted a juice appointment, why did he call his mentor to order? When his mentor could not account for 21million naira under his leadership as a minister of power, why did he call his mentor to call? Even his mentor has a whole lot of political baggage and moral bankruptcy and his misaction has cost the country a whole lot of misfortune. Labgaja indictment of omisore as a murderer is laughable and ridiculous considering an educated folks like him. He should have learn in government text book or political science course that it is only the competent court of justice that has the power to pronounce omisore guilty. Omisore based on court pronouncement is innocent and those who did not agree with the judgment should go and hug he transformer or better appeal to the almighty God for justice. We must allow our democracy to grow as it is done in advanced country of this world. Trial by media is un healthy for our democratic growth and development. We must allow judiciary institution to grow and become stronger. We must not allow our partisanship or misguided utterance to run down our nascent democracy. Lagbaja should grow and live above board and stop being petty or partisan. This is democracy! not demonstration of craziness. Nigerains are wiser now. We know our enemies who are wolve in sheep clothing

Politics / Re: Pat Utomi To Run As Delta State Gov In 2015 by dcitizen1: 7:30pm On Jan 03, 2014
Here comes the hypocrisy again. If apc deem pat utomi fit and competent to run as a governor, why cannot they support him to run for the governor of lagos where he has so much stake through enormous contributions to the economic development ?. Caleb , the younger bro of george bush who was born in texas became the governor of flourida state.

He may lose if he contest for the governorship in delta where he has no much stake and contribution to the devlopment becos politics in nigeria is local and you need a shoulder of a strong and invincible political starwarts to win an election in a state where you donot have so much state. wrong association with a political party dat is built along ethno -religious line may bury the political career of pat utomi.

Nigeria must be built on strong nationalism where any nigerians where ever he found himself in must aspire to any level of political office without fear, tribalism and religiosity. We cannot talk about how far american democracy has grown but down play the democratic tenent and culture of all inclusive participation dat contribute to the national development of the usa.

it is a sheer hypocrisy to take the concept of democracy and throw the democratic culture into the african jungle.

I will advise pat utomi to contest for the governorshi or senatorship in lagos where he can contribute his quota for economic, social and political growth of the state considering his past achievement as a technocrat and his intellectual sagacity becos lagos as an entity is cosmopolitican with majority tribes especially igbo, yoruba, hausa and minority tribes and lagos is his strong base. If pat utomi dare try to contest for the governorship of delta state, dat singular and unilateral action will murder his political career.
