Hello people.

Has anyone here used this cloud energy sunbox pro solar generator (pure sine wave inverter + AC charger + in-built battery).
It is advertized as having a pure sine wave inverter and 12V, 70AH lithium battery and sells for 160k on jumia.

I would like to hear about it's real life perfomance from anyone who has used it.

Try AliExpress "pocket".

I am not sure it still works though, I tried to use it on the app now and it was unavailable. Try to access it from the website using a desktop PC and see.

Gud afternoon house.....is there away to buy something in dollars on aliexpress that is beyond $500. I discovered there is dollar limit restriction. And does anyone know someone that does China shipping into the country.

Hahahaha. I just don't like the idea of the controller being idle.

They were quite surprised by the behaviour of the CC and offered to send me money to ship it back to them so they could figure out what the problem is but I was unable to re-activate my PayPal account.

They did honor the warranty and I have a replacement already. I just wondered whether this seemingly bricked one can be fixed.

I ordered from their store on AliExpress.

Where did you order from?

Good day house.

I have a brand new Fangpusun 100/50 D controller ordered from that refused to work out of the box.

It recognises and displays battery voltage and PV input voltage but just refuses to charge. Rather than indicate bulk, absorption or float, it displays "Off" implying that there is no PV input yet, it accurately displays the PV input.

I have a feeling it something is wrong with the firmware.

Can anyone here fix it or knows someone who can fix it ?

Thanks.

Luminous 850VA is definitely hybrid as I own it too; although I don't use it no more. It has pwm cc
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dejidotun2000(m): 10:31am On Nov 30, 2020
As I understand it, the inverter in question is not a hybrid(lacks an in-built charge controller).

His intention is to charge the battery with the panels and he can do that only if the battery is in parallel with solar panels and the inverter.

Penuelseun:
It can't damage his battery as he is not connecting it to them directly, the charge controller inside the inverter will regulate the voltage albeit inefficiently, better he uses an mppt controller when he has the cash
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dejidotun2000(m): 9:18am On Nov 30, 2020
Don't do it !

850VA inverters are usually powered by a 12V battery while 300W panels will deliver 36V. The high voltage will damage your battery in no distant time.

If your panels were 4 no 150W rather than 2 no 300W, you may have been able to get away with it.

You don't have to use your hand to re-create the scenario, use a neon tester. Better still, use an analog multimeter (low input resistance, less likely to be fooled by ghost voltages) , check for voltage between the positive terminal of the battery and the ground
ceaser:

True. I touched the positive terminal and I had no footwears on; the two bare feets on the tiled floor.

I would have tried to re-create the scenario but wearing shoes this time around just so to be sure that the inverter is not faulty. But mba! I have successfully resisted the enemy's temptation.

The inverter may or may not have an issue(because you don't know whether the inverter intentionally connects the negative DC bus to the neutral AC output, and you also don't know whether his palms were sweaty), but you do know that earthing won't prevent you from getting a shock if you touch the live terminal while some other part of your body is touching the neutral or earth. It will shock you in fact because it is grounded.

He stated that he got a shock when he touched the positive terminal not when he touched the metal casing.

ojesymsym:
This has to be wrong info. Electric shock on battery terminal suggest that the inverter has an issue already. In my experience, earthing will take away those kinds of leakage current rather than allow it shock you.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dejidotun2000(m): 6:28pm On Nov 17, 2020
You got a shock when you touched the positive battery terminal.

It wasn't because the inverter was not grounded. If anything, you will get a shock while touching the positive terminal because it is grounded !

Grounding prevents you from getting shocked only if you touch the metal casing.

It's possible that the AC output of the inverter is somehow coupled with the DC input possibly through the transformer.
Ceaser01:

@ Bolded. You're absolutely correct. It's 48 volt system and I don't think the inverter has earthing. My own inverter has a scr3w point on the casing for earth wire and it came bundled with the special wire to use for the scr3w point.

I'll instruct the guy to check continuity between the building wirings to check for shorts. I believe all appliances should be unplugged from all sockets and heater fuses switched off at the Distribution Box before commencing this trouble shooting.

Thanks for the wonderful inputs.

Posting with the alternate profile. SpamBot went on overdrive again when I posted this response. Maybe it's my use of the word "scr3w" in it's unaltered form.

The part I wanted to see is the ends of the rails as shown in the pictures you attached. Many thanks.

Why did you leave that space between the roof and the back of the solar panels ?
mcTrinity:

Hello Deji,
. Can you elaborate.... That response I gave was with the picture of the Aluminum Locks tile that serves as the main rail

Edit: see attached... Hope the pics answers ur query.

Can you please share the cross section picture of the rail.

Hi BetaTech,

The first picture is what I'll call the Rail. Please note that there are two types (the Nigerian and the foreign)... The Nigerian version is harder and stronger compared to the foreign.

I hope this helps.... Cheers

Items 8, 9, 10 and 11 seems to be what I want; they are all 3/16" and Copper-nickel. What difference does the japanese, British, European and SAE make ?
radautoworks:

The remote database only allows them to look up things by make and model that's why. If they were in the shop they could physically go look to get a part number. Without entering it, they can't search because we have a LOT.

I have access to full version. Which type do you want? We have multiple of each type in stock.

I need to buy 3/16" Copper-nickel brake line.

I have sent a mail to support@radautoworks.com and I got a reply asking me to provide the vehicle model or vin(I don't think this was even necessary because I just want a roll/coil of the line and will do the bending and flaring myself) which I did but I haven't got a reply over 48 hours since then.

Hello people.

Does anyone know where I can buy quality brake shoes for a 2000 Nissan Sentra ?

I have bought two already that I am cool with, they absorb moisture when parked overnight and grab the drum violently in the morning.

You didn't add that some in the crowd are also looking to steal from the dead/wounded
Eizenburg:

There really isn’t any justification. It would be the same scenario if it were a fatal car crash; you’d see the crowd gathering, half of them are just there for their dose of morbid curiousity, the other half to do “eye witness” report. You’d also find a few individuals really willing to help

Where is the proof that global warming is releasing a lot of previously unseen organisms ?

@ gentlelife , oluwaseunla , if viruses can evolve and mutate, can they still be considered to be "non-living" ?

No, not lab created.

Global warming releasing a lot of previously unseen organisms. Also, mutations and evolution.

Babies and young people do die from COVID. They are less likely to have contraindications hence lower death rates. E.g. High cholesterol, pulmonary embolism (blood clots), diabetes. Etc.

I don't know nearly enough to say they are living or non-living but I find the subject very intriguing.

And scientists don't know everything, they also sometimes change their minds in the light of new knowledge

Your reference to Zombie movies is quite hilarious hahaha.
oluwaseunla:

Scientists still classify them as non - living, even when they do all those. This is because they cannot keep themselves in a stable state, they don't grow, they cannot make their own energy.

They are not even regarded as cells, more like androids. That is because they don't have a nucleus (despite having a genetic material), no ribosome, no mitochondrion. These are all features of a living cells and viruses don't have them. The only thing they do is to replicate, and that is only done by taking over the host.

Think of it this way, remember those zombie movies by Hollywood, would you describe the zombies as living things despite taking over their host population? It's similar to that.
