Romance / Dont Know If This Is Really Love by DeRadical: 8:05pm On Apr 12, 2012
Fellow nairalanders, for sometime now, i have been battling with my mind. I have this babe in my church that has been professing that she loves me more than anything. One thing is this, there is no way i can even imagine walking up to this chic and toast her on a normal day because of her class.
in fact, i do like her for the person she is but i find it very hard to fall in love due to past experiences. My people, the way this girl has been doing to me makes me wonder if a lady can really fall in totality for someone like that in Nigeria. She wants to do everything for me but yet i dont see myself really loving her up to 5% of how she feels for me.
Because of what has happened to me in the past, my mind is not ready to soften to assure her that all is well. in terms of money, there is no level of comparism. Infact she doesnt even ask for any thing at all from me rather she prefers buying for me( though i find it hard to take from women)Also, wouldnt know why she loves me like that as i am not a romantic type or a soft kind of person. I wanted to shout her away and tell her to take a break but cant find any single excuse to do that.

My question is this my people, can this chic be pretending while she looks for something? Do ladies just fall for someone foolishly without having a target/objective? Am i normal? Is this a marriage plot? Please react... i never even believed that one day i will be asking this kind of question on nairaland.

Once more refineries comes on board prices will fall due to competition. Have you heard of scrapping of PHCN ? Thats commendable too. VI axis has at least 18hrs electricity for the past 1 week. Trust me, we will end up spending less on PMS if electricity is steady

@op, which planet have you been on  angry angry .BTW ain't nothing like love so wake up already angry . Now with that out of the way, bro seriously ever ask your self why a responsible looking, fine as hell chick would go out with womanizing, tattoo bearing(no offense brothers I also have a tattoo grin ), rough toutish looking dude than that God-fearing, decent brother? The answer is there, chicks dig confident, exciting, adventous dudes. Why? mostly to feel protected, to cover up their inferiority complex issues and youthful exuberance. No chick within the danger line(i.e 28yrs and above can do that  again because its time to carry their "body of experience" grin grin to an unfortunate decent hard-working guy to marry. cry cry cry . Nice guys always finish last. Now if you want that girls' attention, give her competition, works everytime wink wink trust me cool
Maaaamii!, you are the man! your analysis seems very gbeske. God bless you for your comment. Throw a competition to them and see them run after you. I concur

Business / Re: Which Lucrative Business Can One Start Here In Lagos Nigeria: Someone Help by DeRadical: 11:09am On Nov 21, 2011
Dfxlord:

true business opportunities,
invest in pepper business.
1.PEPPER BIZ
we buy pepper from the north and sell in lagos. very easy. we have dealers in lagos that buy the pepper from us immediately it lands from the north and in this part of zamfara state there is excess pepper.
pepper goes for N1000 per bag and is sold for more than N4000 in lagos (price varies).
so if you invest in this windfall be ready to get more than 40% of your investments per week.

its done in 3 simple steps. we have our agents in lagos who you may meet one on one if you so desire. once we have bought it and sold it the profit will be given to you.
the good thing about this business is that you dont look for buyers and the product is not scarce.

the bad part is that pepper season will be over by february so the earlier the better.

2. TRADING GOLD
we have mines in zamfara, we mine the stones, take them to our crushers in kebbi State and process

guy, i am game, can we yarn?

Abeg, sharp sharp
just give me your mobile
Autos / Re: Immobilizer Installation by DeRadical: 7:22pm On Nov 17, 2011
exactly my brother. whats the cost implication? Infact, i have been rendered useless like 4 weeks ago when these touts found there way into my 1997 accord (bulldog) and made away with all my tools and valuables within. How they entered and managed to lock it back the way i did remains a mystery up till date. but funny enough, they were merciful enough not to move the ride, My brother, abeg let us know the cost implication, just an idea anyway

keyremotes:

Immobilizers have become a standard on most if not all new cars as far back as 1998. In Germany since 1 January 1998, in the United Kingdom since 1 October 1998, in Finland since 1998, in Australia since 2001 and in Canada since 2007.

All this came about as a result of the refusal of insurance companies to underwrite cars due to high rate of theft. Auto manufacturers had to go back to the drawing board to develop a passive security system where the vehicle owner did not have to do anything else but take the key out of the ignition.

Well, there are a number of types of automotive immobilizers in use. Many new cars come with them installed from the factory, and in those cases the actual electronic control unit for the engine comes from the factory with an immobilizing circuit that will prevent the fuel pump and usually the ignition circuit as well from operating unless a transponder device is within the range of the sensor. These are the best type of immobilizer in terms of safety, because they are not a separate electrical circuit which can be easily tampered with like aftermarket systems.

Immobilizers have a radio frequency transmitter that goes on your keychain. The sensor that is in the dashboard or somewhere near the ignition detects the unique frequency of the transmitter in order to allow the car to run.

Aftermarket (Add-on immobilizers) immobilizers come in all different styles. Generally speaking, it depends entirely on the specific cars specifications in terms of fuel delivery system and ignition system to determine how to immobilize the car.

For example, a car with an electronically powered fuel pump (which is likely fuel injected) can be easily immobilized if the power relay to the fuel pumps operation is intervened from the immobilizer system. A fuel injected car with an immobilizer circuit would typically disable the fuel pump, fuel injection control, as well as the ignition circuit. A car that is carbureted on the other hand, likely uses a mechanical fuel pump from stock, and therefore you cannot prevent fuel flow directly without the use of solenoids in between fuel lines to stop flow physically. A carbureted car with a mechanical fuel pump would likely only have the ignition circuit disabled in the event of immobilization.

As more cars come from the factory with sophisticated immobilizers, thieves turn their attention to easier pickings. Best choice is the vehicle with no hint of anti-theft technology. Because of the effectiveness of the new anti-theft systems, the focus is moving to older cars without these devices.

With establishment of the above, I want to talk about the immobilizer usage and culture in Nigeria. The average car owner in Nigeria does not have an idea of what the transponder technology in the vehicle he or she drives is all about.

Due to this ignorance a lot of car owners are doing damage to vehicles they spent their hard earned money buying.

They install the Nigerian version of “aftermarket immobilizers”. I mean the almighty 5 minute fuel cut off. This device with all due respect to the manufacturers, is the most hideous contraption I have come across. It is very effective on cars without the factory installed system. But, having this device installed in a 2007 vehicle with factory installed system is most unimaginable but, very rampant. Some of you reading this write up have done exactly that.

This can only be compared to having 2 antiviruses installed on your computer. One can only imagine what will happen sooner or later.

My sincere advice is for those guilty of this to yank them out ASAP and allow the factory installed system do its job.

Owning a 2007 Honda Accord and having the five minute fuel cut installed is a typical example of what I am talking about.

To those who have a “ritual” of installing this type of system on any new vehicle they purchase, agreed, old habits are hard to change. One does not need much persuasion here as your compliance will only do you good like a good wife.

For those who drive cars manufactured between 1997-2008 without a factory fitted immobilizer system, get in touch with us.
We have something that belongs to you.
Education / Re: Is University Of Ibadan Any Better Than Covenant University? by DeRadical: 2:38pm On Nov 15, 2011
Na wa ooo! comparing Almighty UI to Covenant University? Hmmmnnnn! interesting! It is only a fool that will wake up and do that. CU will get there but not yet. Sentiments apart, no reason for comparism, it is like comparing a lion in the wild and the one in the zoo cage. The lion in the wild sees life as it is while the caged lion is restricted.

what makes the difference is that environment,

UI is a no match to covenant university for now, it is just a bitter truth but that doesnt mean that they wont get there by tomorrow.
