3. Why did the police and the authority of HMP Durham fail to notify any one in UK or Nigeria of his arrest and detention until his death?

they should also ask his university, in case he's not filled in any next of kin

never heard someone in prison without being convicted

tissot84: yes that is PR for you.
what they used him for is the best
because it involves switching network without changing number
so i think MTN played a fast one and if u look back at etisalat advert there was one they dissed MTN using saka

PR or Marketing ?

Are u saying if i change from one network to another that i cant change back if the present network is giving me problem to my initial network. please educate me on aw the MPN works

cold: This topic made it to the fp just this morning. http://www.nairaland.com/1266794/mtn-disses-etisalat-number-portability. Oh well. I think Etisalat should have matched MTN pound for pound & keep their man. Unless they've got some other tricks up their sleeve. Saka enjoy..

perhaps the MBA+PhD manager doing the negotiation saw the man as a local hungry mugu and paid him on a pay as you go basis grin
Phones / Re: Saka Don Port O !!! Mtn Portability Advert With Saka by Dis Guy: 9:26pm On Apr 23
tissot84: the PR guy in etisalat should just wait for like a 5 months and do the same back to MTN by paying saka a beta money to switch back. it is the PR business. i love the insight by DDB lagos thumbs up. But etlsalat should get the guy to sign for 4years and then diss MTN. Nice advert

you cant use the trick twice...you only have one shot at it wink

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Imo Govt Commences Recruitment Of Graduate Trainees. by Dis Guy: 8:13pm On Apr 23
emekatimsu: Imo govt commences recruitment of graduate trainees. The Imo state Ministry of Public Utilities, Public Safety and Youth Entrepreneurship has commenced the recruitment of trainees for the Imo Tobacco Control Programme.

The Commissioner in-charge of the ministry, Dr Iheanyi Nwachukwu, said in a statement in Owerri on Tuesday that only degree holders in public administration or the sciences were eligible to apply. Nwachukwu called on eligible applicants to pick the recruitment forms from his office, adding that such forms should be returned on or before April 28. The commissioner said the graduates would be trained to become smoking advisors and specialist stop smoking advisors. He said they would start work immediately on completion of the training, stressing that it was part of the state government’s efforts to provide basic amenities for the people. (NAN)

the school cant provide running water, you think they can afford to recreate their natural habitat?

funny enough if they rally round all the international wildlife charities they will be able to come up with some cool cash and even get animals donated

Being registered is not the question... the question is "are they transparent".
BGL is owing someone i know, and they are tossing the person. I think they are not reliable...particularly the current MD.
I can name names if you want. any one that know them should inform them to be straight with nigerians. BIG for nothing.

sorry, wanted to write recognizable ane registered/approved by NSE

their transparency is not something i have an idea abiut, most of these brokers/financial service operators always have one k leg or the other even the banks, so any complaints about them i wont be surprised at all

in the past we had companies that are not operating at all being listed on the Stock exchange; think about it, supposedly financial institutions being persistently fined for not submitting annual results

the truth is that most of this telecoms companies hardly take in graduates or people without experience, this is because as soon as they grab the experience they will start jumping from one telecoms company to the other. most times it cost the company alot.
as for climbing mask there are many field of expertise in telecoms, those that climb mask are called riggers they enjoy but i see as suffering. there is VAS, Planning, Optimization, IT, HR, Database admins etc. in my own opinion the real engineering work is done by the RF network planning and Optimization engineers-seniors are in the office always while juniors sometimes go to the field but jst to tell those that climb what to do when they are up there.

moving from one company to the other is not unusual- BT engineers hop off to rivals with favourable working
the cost is an investment

Politics / Re: Sandra Ekperuoh's Mechanic Workship Sealed In Victoria Island by Dis Guy: 6:14pm On Apr 22
teejayreal: This is an outrage! Over 40 policemen and officials from the Waste Water Management and Sewage Board, an arm of the Ministry of Environment, this morning stormed the mechanic workshop of Nigeria's first woman auto mechanic, Sandra Aguebor-Ekperuoh, and sealed the place. Her auto workshop, where she employs only female mechanics, is situated by 1004 in Victoria Island.

Sandra, who has been an auto mechanic for the past 27 years, runs an NGO that empowers women called the Lady Mechanic Initiative where she has empowered and graduated over 150 women in Lagos State alone. Sandra has over 150 women mechanics in Abuja and 100 women mechanics in Benin where 50 of the girls are graduating in three weeks time. 40 of them will be employed by Sandra immediately after graduation in her Lagos, Benin, Kaduna and Abuja workshops. Some of the girls who have passed through her are now self employed with their own mechanic workshops and even training other female mechanics. This woman has done so much to empower women in this country and it's so sad to see this happen to her. We should be celebrating this woman, not taking land from her.

She trains these girls for free, still gives them a salary and accommodates them. The land that was sealed today houses the Lady Mechanic Workshop and a hostel for her girls where the girls, some of them orphans, stay rent free.

Their reason for sealing the place? They are saying the land belongs to the Lagos State government. Thing is, Sandra has been on that land for the past 10 years. I've spoken to Sandra myself and she's devastated but staying strong for her girls.

this is an outrage....? was that suppose to make the autobiography more interesting?

how can ministry of waste water deal with land matters...are you really sure you have spoken to her?

Lies.

Look at Nairaland for instance, do you see women making noise about how other women are not getting married?
There is even an idiotic thread on front page that was started by a man that talks about how some women will never get married unless they change like say na by force to marry.

you look at Nairaland? I say look at the society...words on the street holds more truth than nairaland IMO

check a thread on the NYSC section, something about what their plans will be going into NYSC or just after it, vast majority were looking to snag a man or get married afterwards! what happened to getting a job? starting a business or living their own life??
