Thanks for sharing your experience and workarounds

Another thing is for you guys to try and make friends with people who have young kids so that you can baby sit for each other or at least find out how they deal with their child care needs. £250 per day on childcare for 18k/year job is just too much, doesn’t make any sense if you ask me.

£250 is per week

totally agree with you ^^^

was just discussing this with a friend

Husband- Student - 20hours
Wife - Dependant- Full time allowance but 2 primary school kids, meaning work options will reduce dramatically except perhaps night duty. Hopefully Oga adjust to looking after kids and getting them ready for school in the morning.

It's a big jump that take a lot of patience and planning.

Pls kindly read my write up again. Thank you

Good afternoon I'm new here, I read about a lady whose husband didn't know he got ban, pls mine I applied in 2015 for Canada tourist visa and I was refused based on family ties and not sure I will return home, I read the mail, it was handled by an agent though,
I intend going to the UK through student route, do I need to be scared?
How do one know he/she is banned?

Apologies- thought you meant your husband too

Not sure of Canada but they've explain reason for refusal, for UK refusal with a ban a certain section will be quoted. Plus if you've not used suspicious document, you have nothing to be scared of- here's assuming you saw what the agent submitted.

In his application, did he use fake documents or any document that wasn't his?

Abroad people rent rooms/houses suitable for them nothing extra

students usually rents a room in shared apartments, family rent 1 or 2 bed flat that's enough for themselves unlike Nigeria where's there's guest rooms, BQ etc etc hence can accommodate freely.

Who no go no know as they say, weather alone can make one cranky cheesy

Does anyone know a LEGAL but cheaper means to watch premier league matches and if possible champions league matches in UK without subscribing to Sky or BT TV? This sky subscription is becoming too expensive.

Apps
Streaming....never heard anyone in trouble for Streaming as long as it's not a commercial venue

Please I need an advice on how to manage with my 2 kids , age 5 and 3years alone and working as nurse, 12hours shift 3 to 4days a week. I need advice and suggestions please

Please think and plan this properly. Many schools stopped after school clubs and the 3yo will be attending paid or party paid nursery.
Child care cost can easily outstrip even accommodation cost.

Pls auto mechanics help out a bro. I have this issue with my 2005 Camry 2.4. The speedometer fluctuates on the first gear and it makes this noise like it’s on neutral until it engages the second gear. My mechanic advised I change the gear sensor yet it persists. Pls help a brother out. Thanks.

Thanks baba but she pays £31.89. She showed me last night and I'm like this is not normal.

The YouTube video they watch are pre recorded no live programs at all.

she's probably paying quarterly, she needs to contact the office to get exemptions if she's just watching netflix and other non-live streaming services

One major reason I chose to not go live offshore especially United States of America! The other day a well-to-do black man took his family out to dinner. On their way out of the restaurant a white man met him at the door and plunged a knew into his stomach right in the presence of wife and children killing him. The white man subsequently said he did that out of frustration and fury at the sight of a black man who is well-to- do! What a society!

Just between November and December this year alone, trucks, buses etc ram into school children, passengers and commuters killing over 50 people and not a single investigation or acknowledgment from Governors, Senator ...just another day in our morally conscious society!

I notice that some people are so unrealistic when giving advice to a newbie coming into UK. If they are politicians children maybe then yes..

I think people give advice largely based on their own perspective and/or experience...

I am thinking of this route but my children are also involved. They are still small and may not cope.

Oh no. This decision has thrown a spanner in the works. Sad thing is they still haven't justified their decision vaccinated or not

Hopefully it gets reviewed ASAP so people and economies can get going again

Hi guys, so I have been following this thread I will really appreciate contributions and suggestions from people already schooling in the Uk or those about to travel.
So I have applied to more than 8 schools and currently have 3 admissions in psychology and public health for September intake. In all my sourcing for funds I have only been able to raise about £3000 pounds which will cover only deposit.
Please guys how did u people get money for tuition and travelling is it from your family? Where did u get loan from? Please I need someone to point me out in the right direction.
I have sourced and sourced for loan in Nigeria the only legit one I saw charges 18% on the amount given to pay back monthly in 9 months and u have to bring a guarantor which their bank partners will profile and give loan according to salary and 6months statement of account, my guarantor with about #200,000 monthly salary can't even get me 2m. Guys please advice me oh where can I borrow.

Fake lifestyle or stress ..... I think it's more of the latter .........

Indeed, get a Hotel or Airbnb..........

When I travel, I book hotels (regardless of family members at location)..... I don't like stress..... grin

Exactly as it should be.... grin

I think 5 out of 10 Nigerians that are living in UK are born wicked. Most of these guys have terrible characters, I used to warned new comers to stop depending on them on any money related issues or shelters.
An innocent lady got stranded at Gatwick entry weeks ago having sugarcoated heavily before leaving Nigeria. Londoners are not friendly, unfortunately most of them are living fake life on social media. I encourage everyone to plan well before leaving Nigeria. Best wishes!

Totally agree with you, people should just save themselves the hassle get a hotel/apartment and leave those people and their fake lifestyle!

Good morning. Has anyone used Qatar Airways recently?
I'm seeing an option to pay for seats after paying for the tickets, is this compulsory?

Secondly, what's the baggage allowance for a two years old child?. Thank you.

It's optional...you take the seat you're given, choose one of the free seats available or pay for a particular seat with all the extras...

Have you checked their website or your ticket for allowance? If child has own seat then normal luggage allowance

Guys I need to change my phone because the screen is broken. Where can i get a used cheap phones for now? someone suggested ebay or Facebook market. I am in Hayes area

do you have insurance on your phone or with your bank account? you might be able to make a claim instead of paying out of pocket

Those are good places to look but you have no protection from facebook marketplace. Also avoid gumtree for things like that- you them on bulk items or service you can pay after- there are not intermediaries just you and the seller going back and forth if something goes wrong

Ebay, CeX, Vinted?
