Isn't this story already a year old?
Talk about flogging a dead horse undecided

I tell you. The lady in question has even moved on. In her most recent post she refers to herself as a new convert to Islam and she was asking about Hajj. People carry her matter ontop head and the girl has accepted her fate. lol

Family / Re: See what Watching Parents Have Sex, Made This 5 Years Old Calabar Girl Do by durobraham(f): 5:11pm On Aug 10, 2015
Randyhot:
The rate this little children are learning about everything this days is just giving me headaches. They learn both good and bad from everything around them, they learn from daddy, mummy, auntie, sister, brother, nollywood, hollywood, bollywoods, name them.

Just imagine last month i went to visit a friend in a particular neighbourhood in calabar, as i was busy chilling with my guy and talking in his room, this little girl whom i later learnt to be the daughter of his neigbour peered through the curtain and let herself in uninvited, my friend scolded her for not greeting which she did immediately, we continued our gisting and take little notice of her as she played with the dvd dics around the tv, she now came to the bed where i was and continued her play there, i was gisting and laughing too before i notice that she has played very close to me, i stopped and asked her name, classs and school as was normal which she responded, i continued my gist before i felt her hand touch my legs, innocently as i taught her to be i didn't give much attention to it until she was so close that she stretched out her hand and i felt her grab my dick, HOLY MOSES!!

I jumped up and shouted,my friend pulled her up and gave her a very sharp konk, GOOD LORD am i dreaming or what? I looked at her and she was oblivious of the magnitude of what she has just done, my friend pushed her out and went to make a report to her parents, the mum came and apologized and it was settled, when she left i learnt that she is living in a one room apartment with her parents, now only god knows what she might have been seeing or hearing at nights when they might have taught her sleeping.

We talked more on this and agreed that it is very wrong for couples living in a one room apartments to have sex at nights with there wards in the same room, you might think they are sleeping but never make such a mistake, i also learnt that this was not her first time as she has previously done such on two occasions. I dont want to go into how some movies and shows both local and foreign has destroyed innocent minds. Let us protect this young ones from sex corruption and abuse.

Its one hundred times more likely that your friend is the one who is teaching her that. If she learnt from her parents, she is more likely to experiment with another child. That's how children function normally.

For her as a five year to boldly grab an adults body part, its because some adult has told her its okay.
My advice, make sure that friend never comes near your children when you have them. to avoid stories that touch.

Hi house, please I appreciate any review or assessment on Royal Air Maroc flight to USA or chigaco. My Destination is Iowa. That airline seems to be offering the only reasonable price for now. Else any other suggestions will be welcomed

have you checked Lufthansa? I came through Lufthansa to Ord ticket was cheap $845, then took the greyhound bus from Chicago to Iowa for $40.
What I'm saying is basically you don't have to fly to Iowa.

My interview happened on Monday 6.30am, but I have been busy reason for the delayed transcript. This forum thread has been fantastic and does 50% of the work needed for people to get their visa. The selfless service of gurus and members cannot be ignored. Sometimes their hard or straight talks often cause commotion , but its better they tell us the reality and what is possible than people chasing shadows . bbdd (he packaged and inspired me) and slimmy are often attacked for their straight talks, but these two guys were instrumental to getting my visa. Also, the tendency of people looking for the easiest way out of everything and not doing the necessary diligent home work are the major reasons for many denials. If advice given is followed and tailored to one’s application, then I see no reason why people can’t pick up their visas easily. The job of the VO is to look for reasons to deny people( VOs are doing their jobs), but our job is to not give the VO the chance, and block every loophole possible in our applications and during interviews by preparing for all possible questions. I believe the forum has helped immensely. The visa journey is not smooth, but achievable .

VO: morning
ME: morning
VO: what school are you heading to?
ME: University of Iowa
Vo: what program are you going for there?
Me: PhD in Health Informatics.
VO: How did you get to know about the school ?
ME: I did extensive research about schools offering PhD in Health informatics using professional websites like American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) , Health Informatics Forum and other search engines and streamlined programs in clinical informatics and health data analytics. This is in line with my research (…cut ) ( my advice every course has a professional website. Instead of people saying usnews, Princeton etc , that VOs keep hearing daily and I consider cliché. Mention the American professional websites of the course you want to study)
VO: why university of Iowa
Me: I have a Master’s degree in health informatics and the school is among the top schools offering training in the field of Health informatics. It has an excellent program in health data analytics.
VO: you have a masters degree?
Me: Yes I have a master’s degree in Health informatics from the University of Leeds
Vo : Health informatics and what’s that about?
Me: Health informatics is the use of information technology to leverage the delivery of health with the aim of improving the safety, quality and efficiency of heath service delivery..(cut)\
Vo: who is sponsoring you?
Me. The school is my sponsor. I am on full funding as stated on the i20. It covers.. tuition…(cut)
Vo : Do you have any other document that shows the breakdown of your scholarship other than i20.
Me: I gladly gave her my admission letter and I started smiling
She had no choice too , but also smiled with the good new

You don't have to, just have some cash with you and save your money inside your visa card. If you read my statement, I said sometimes they might ask you. All they want to know is if you have up to $10k with you cos anything after $10k is money laundering. The funniest thing is that POE officer might not even ask you anything apart from you passport and I-20.

Ok. Thanks alot

It depends, passport, I-20 and sevis fee for sure. They might ask you few questions like why are you here, Do you have up to $10k cash with you and who is sponsoring you. But nothing to worry about, just calm down and answer anything they ask you.

Thanks alot.
Are we supposed to have alot of cash with us? cos im thinking of travelling with little cash but with my visa card.

As an F1 student buy one way, because you dont know when you are going back to naija. For your information, POE officers will not ask you for your return ticket. Dont waste your money, bills plenty way you go pay when you reach Yankee.

please what things will the POE officers ask?

I am currently searching for accomodation but having doubts
There are official off-campus recognized aprtments, the cheapest was for $670/mth, has so many effizy, but saw another which was a 2 bed apartment, contacted the agents if any student wanted to sublease as the price was $1,035 and hopefully if i can get something around $350 (though not discussed price yet) if the bill is split. Though the agent is the one doing the link up, my problem is that the contract is btw me and the tenant, agent said she doesn't wanna be involved only just doing the connection. Kinda wary about that
How is the experience living with a work professional / student, (Is it same as living in hostel on campus ), then the legal aspect (getting scammed)?

In addition to all that has been said here about NOT paying money until you get there and see them and the apartment face to face, it's important to tell you( this. read up on tenancy law esp the difference between subleting and leasing. if you take the non campus arrangement make SURE you sign the lease with them. that way your roommates can't just kick you out because they don't like the smell of dodo frying.
if the only place available is a sublet i.e. you sign an agreement with the current tennants not the landlord, read the agreement carefully make sure it compels them to give at least one month's notice before they evict you.
also on sublet, if it's a sublet try and negotiate the security deposit you pay, since you will be paying to a sitting tenant and if you want to leave the tenant/tenants may not be able to pay you back. All in all

I got my yellow card at a health centre close to MMA in Lagos for 1000 naira. For the health care form sent to me by the school, I'm heading to Obalende to check a health centre there. I want to know if I can get it filled there. For the yellow card, try the health centre at the Abuja airport. For the other medical form, Check federal government health centre for help.

Thanks alot.

Let the F1 reaches U.S before you go for any F2 interview. The primary applicant hasn't started studying which is the reason the visa was issued. Question is how will he cope with school if his family is going to start the semester with him?

A semester is just 4 months.... anytime within that time should be fine.

Thanks

To obtain an F2 visa, it must be tied to an F1. That means that the school that issued you Form I20 should have been notified of the dependent. And every dependent applying for an F2 visa must have form I 20. You both will have the same sevis number and hence no sevis fee should be paid for a dependent.
So...
Call the school and request for Form I20 for your dependent.
Cheers!

Thanks.

Thanks Guys,

God bless you Greatly, I think she did not hear me or maybe i was not audible since there was a demarcation like most banks.

Bellow are the Details.

Expenses AY 15-16
Instructional Fees (tuition) $8,188
Non-resident Surcharge $7,992
General Fees $1,256
Network Fees $66
Living* (10 Months) $11,500
Ohio University Health Insurance $1,800
Total $30,802***

I got a Grad Assitantship of

The Graduate College received notification from Info and Telecom Systems program that you were offered a Graduate Assistantship estimated at $15418. Please review Expenses for International Students http://www.ohio.edu/graduate/tuition.cfm You will need to provide the documents outlined below showing the remaining $15384 ($30,802 less $15418 the amount of the offer).

Hence i went with Dad's personal bank Statement with 2.8 mill. (Since i had a Tuition waiver) and not the Biz account (Although still opened with his name) which has about 7 time the amount in the personal account.

Actually, she did not request my I-20 as it was with me all through. And i was blown out (maybe because she just Rejected the person before me.) Still wondering.

@ ebdib,

Dad was still my sponsor since i was not getting full funding. So i was to provide proof of extra funding.

@ ridimic1

The name of the School is listed on the Health Insurance cost.

@ profojah

It was well listed and clearly stated. I just got a mail from which i pasted the part in Italics above, i printed the mail as well.

The problem is, i actually did not understand what was going on, until she issued me the 214(b) letter. I was expecting more questions, so i can explain and point out. But she Just looked at the bank statement and gave me the Document.

Thanks Guys for your Contributions and advice. I would work on my voice and presentation on the next one.

@ Profjah

Thanks, i guess she did not hear me well or there was some misinterpretation (She even asked me my Dad's occupation i told her but she did not hear or seem to understand the profession i mentioned), even my I-20 states Family as My sponsor.

Before i forget the I-20 stated on the Part 9 (Remarks) That "student should arrive with $2000 for initial cost," (Heaven knows this was actually the reason i went with the personal bank statement)

the way I see it, funds were inadequate. your scholarship is partial, almost 16k short and your Dads account had just 2.8 million. it should be more.

the VO was harsh sha. Haba!
just try to get more money into the account and pray for favour. God keep you.

If you want cheap flight, the best way is to fly from Lagos to New York and from New York to your destination either by flight or train or bus..

Highest you will spend will be less than 1000 usd if i am not wrong.

Emirates, air maroc and Qatar are always cheap, you can try and make use of anyone you get a cheap price from.

I don't understand. Please can you be clear, is there anything wrong with writing the school on the form? He got a full scholarship. The sponsor he has is not immediate family, just a family friend,
he doesn't want that to jeopardize his chance.

Please anyone else who had experience in this issue pls chime in.the funding is tied to diversity so it's not dependent on grades or anything and can't be withdrawn.
