Politics / Re: 185 Killed As Boko-Haram Fights With JTF by ektbear: 5:37am On Apr 22, 2013
sunch:
if people in a neighbourhood could notice suspicious movement around them without making report, it wld be termed that they are also collaborator in this evil act.

Well, if drug dealers operated in my neighborhood, I don't think anyone would think too poorly of me if I decided not to get involved in stopping them. Especially if they know where I live, know my house specifically, are armed and dangerous (as drug dealers usually are), etc.

Ever heard of the phrase "snitches get stitches?" Not sure if it applied to the Nigerian context, but it very well may.

Long story short, innocent bystanders may have legitimate reasons for not getting involved. Especially if the cost of getting involved is the Nigerian army turning your village into a war zone and wiping out nearly 200 of you sad

Romance / Re: High Prices Men Pay For Sex With Prostitutes They Take Home by ektbear: 2:39am On Apr 22, 2013
Having a girlfriend or at least FWB relationship sounds so much cheaper and less dangerous than patronizing prostitutes. GF/FWB is unlikely to drug you to steal your money, for example.

Anyway, to each his own.

Romance / Re: High Prices Men Pay For Sex With Prostitutes They Take Home by ektbear: 8:49pm On Apr 21, 2013
Why prostitutes? You can meet girls who want to have sex to satisfy their own pleasure, and not just for your money.

Cheaper and a lot more fun, I imagine.

Very interesting read.

It is amazing how this religion seems to brainwash people into committing horrible crimes.

No. You are mistaken.

Is a thread about dark-skinned women really more appropriate for the Jokes/Entertainment section than Romance?
Jokes Etc / Re: Help!!! by ektbear: 1:30am On Apr 19, 2013
The point is that his posts are:

a) on topic
b) enjoyed by others/popular

For reasons (a) and (b), there is no justification to have them moved. The purpose of a poll is to verify that (b) is true.

Heck, do a poll and ask Romance section people if they think his threads don't belong there and are happy that they are moved immediately.

Dollars to donuts, many will be in support of them staying..

Jokes Etc / Re: Help!!! by ektbear: 1:15am On Apr 19, 2013
They are not jokes though. They are "romantically" entertaining, e.g. someone stereotyping oyibo women as X.

Anyway his threads aren't doing any harm to the Romance section and tend to be popular. Imo leave them be.
Jokes Etc / Re: Help!!! by ektbear: 1:01am On Apr 19, 2013
Dude, why are you keep moving his threads? They are entertaining man, and deserve to stay in the romance section. I don't think people are actually pissed off by his posts, they enjoy them (at least this is the case for me).

The constant moving of Cork's threads from the Romance to Jokes section is the biggest challenge mankind today.

Please, let us stop moving his threads.

I've been using TaxAct for the past 2 filing sessions. They charged me only $20 to do both federal and state taxes...reasonably cheap.
