Ace Nigerian beauty queen Tracy Solomon has continued to deliver humanitarian aids across states in North-eastern region of Nigeria. As part of her "Educational advancement in Northern Nigeria" campaign, the philanthropist recently donated more than one hundred desks and chairs to The Model Secondary School in Taraba state. The beauty queen who was at the school during her fourth pet project where she donated a free borehole, stated that she was appalled at the condition of the students who couldn't afford reading bench and were forced to sit on the floor during classes. "For a school that has been in existence since 1991, its really depressing to see some of the students even staffs forced to sit on the floor while taking classes", the beauty queen reacted while donating the branded chairs and desk to the school management. Continuing, "Through my office as the Face of Nigeria and by appointment Miss Heritage Nigeria, i engage on this project to provide succor to the students and school with hope that others especially well meaning individuals across the State will be motivated to participate in advancing the educational standard in Taraba state generally". In attendance for the Pet Project is commissioner of Women Affairs Taraba State, Directors of The Ministry of Education Taraba State, Traditional Head of Jalingo and some other Taraba state Government officials. Tracy Solomon is the new Miss Heritage Nigeria, appointed by Face of Nigeria Beauty Pageant organisation. Nigerian beauty queen turned philanthropist, Tracy Solomon has launched another health campaign to sensitise students in the Federal Capital Territory on menstrual hygiene health and management. The event which was organised over the weekend through her office Face of Nigeria in partnership with her foundation, Tracy Solomon foundation, was held at the Junior Secondary School Area 1 Garki Abuja. Menstrual Hygiene Day, annually celebrated on May 28 in many countries around the globe, is to highlight the importance of menstrual care, and raise awareness about issues faced by women and girls who don’t have access to clean water and sanitary products. According to statistics, 44% of Nigerian girls are facing extreme poverty and cannot afford the average cost of a pack of pads. Up to 1 in 10 Nigerian girls miss school during their Period because of the inability to access these basic needs. Tracy noted that she has moved to end the stigma and intensify her personal effort to build a world where no woman and girl is held back because she menstruates. Speaking at the event, she said: "Being FACE OF NIGERIA I can’t just sit and do nothing to help Nigerian Girl Child. So, i decided to fight period poverty by providing menstrual health support to the Girl Child in Junior Secondary School Area 1 Garki Abuja". "My advocacy is also to campaign and END PERIOD POVERTY IN NIGERIA. This is a process that needs to be supported and collectively we can build a better Nation where girls have access to menstrual hygiene education and free pads". The beauty queen has so far donated thousands of period pads to the public schools in FCT Abuja and was able to pay school fees for 40 students. She also awarded scholarship to one of the student by paying her school fee up until she graduates from secondary school. The second edition of Misters of Nigeria Pageant was held in the capital city of imo state, Owerri, on Friday 24th, June 2022. Hosted by Nigeria's fast rising actor and ex big brother Naija housemate, Prince Nelson Enwerem, dstv Pop Central host Grandprince ITA and Mc by Jaycee the radio prince, red carpet hosted by Kenzy Udosen, the event was filled with glitz and excitement as 15 pulchritudinous men grace the stage to compete for one of the most prestigious male pageant titles in Nigeria. The competition began all the way back in January where over 1500 potential contestants registered with hopes of becoming the next Mister of Nigeria, they were then cut down to a Top 70 and then finally to a Top 37. The Top 37 competed in various tasks until a Top 15 emerged Shamsudeen Idris, an athlete, human rights activist and graduate of International Relations from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria who represented Kano state was crowned the overall winner by the Judges, as the Misters of Nigeria 2022. As parts of his achievements, he was rewarded with mouthwatering prizes worth over 4 million Naira. The other winners who make up Shamsudeen’s royal court for the Night includes: 1st Runner up Isinwa Senator — Imo 2nd Runner up Amaechi Stanley — Abia 3rd Runner up Olime Spencer — Edo Misters of Nigeria Ambassador Wisdom Otormay — Jigawa Misters of Nigeria Top Model Inyiekwe Stanley — Enugu According to the statement made by the organisers of the event, the Top 4 contestants earn the right to represent Nigeria internationally at any of the following international male pageants: Mister Global, Mister Model International, Manhunt International and Caballero Universal respectively. Emmanuel Somto, Ace model representing Nigeria at the 7th edition of the Mister Global Pageant competition, arrives Thailand in style. The camping for the event started on March 5th with the Grandfinale scheduled for 15th, March at the Mahasarakham province, Bangkok, Thailand . The annual competition usually host over 50 delegates from several nations around the world. In a post on his Instagram page, Somto confirmed his arrival, pledging to make Nigeria and Africa proud.
