720degrees: @ about 8:15pm Sunday June 3rd I was the happiest being alive when the nurse came out of the labour room with my 5.6kg bouncing baby boy.I held him in my arms and showered him with prayers and blessings for the next 15mins. Since then my head has been in the skies, the sleepness nights are nothing compared to the joy I feel within my soul!
Today we went for his circumsition and I almost fainted while withnessing the procedure. God I love my boy to death, wish I could take his place for the pain and tears but that's life!

He is way smarter than the whole house of rogues representing us. He has plans for every outcome.

I knew the Lawan of a guy is a criminal when he presented a review to the recommendations he made. Go watch that video again and see how he mumbled on words in d defense of the review
which demanded that Zenon Oil be removed.

Every Info Otedola gave tallies with what happened at d plenary that day.

The other members of the house never asked the right questions. For example;
What document guided the ad-hoc committee to enlisting Zenon in d first instance?
What document and revelation made it appropriate to de-list Zenon?

Instead of the silly guys asking questions they were busy blaming the executive.

1. The sting operation pulled by the State Security and Otedola proved successful.
2. Otedola comes out with all reasonable evidence to report Lawan's crime.
3. Lawan couldn't believe his ears when Tambuwal confronted him, so he denied ever receiving bribe.
4. Otedola feeling good about his asset (evidence) shows d video to OBJ
5. OBJ thus had d basis to call members of the house rogues and robbers.
6. Lawan realizes its all over but he won't give up without a fight
7. He thus changed stand by admitting that he collected the bribe but for implicating Otedola.
8. Otedola feeling so confident approaches the police with evidence.
9. Police requests for the cash but Lawan and co have no answer
10. Lawan is disowned by the people he is representing

Politics / Crash: Victims' Families Reject Joint Burial. by Guapo(m): 8:08am On Jun 12, 2012
Families of victims of last Sunday’s Dana flight 992 crash have rejected a Lagos State proposal to give the victims a joint burial.

The state had reportedly said that if the families agreed to a joint burial in a dedicated cemetery, the families would be allowed to exhume the corpses if they wished to identify them further.

One of the victims’ relative, John Akande, told our correspondent that the families rejected the option of a joint burial because of the stress it would bring.

“The process of exhuming the bodies could be tedious, which is why we rejected it. The government committee and our own committee will meet to sort things out so that we can all have the remains of our members on time,” Akande said.

Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, who addressed journalists after a four-hour meeting with the families on Sunday, said they (famlies) agreed to be patient, while government identified the victims before their release for burial.

He said, “The families agreed with the process we adopted. They agreed to wait while we identify the bodies.

“We subsequently set up a relationship team (committee) to be made up of people from government and some members of the families. The committee will coordinate information between government and families and manage the release of the bodies.”

The families would meet at the mortuary of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital on Monday (today).

Meanwhile, there are indications at the weekend that relatives of the crash in which all 153 on board perished were already talking to lawyers with a view to file charges against Dana airlines, operators of the Boeing MD-83, and national aviation agencies, including the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.

Investigation by The PUNCH at the weekend showed that relatives of the crash in which all 153 on board perished were already talking to lawyers with a view to filing charges against Dana Air, operators of the Boeing MD-83, and national aviation agencies, including the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.

“We have resolved to go to court to seek justice. Why will they operate a faulty aircraft? Why did the regulators allow that to happen?”a close relative of one of the victims who spoke to our correspondent in Abuja on Sunday said.

The source said the decision to go to court was taken at a meeting of the deceased’s family but that he was not authorised to speak to the media on the plan.

He said, “Now all we are hearing is that those who are responsible will not go unpunished, that is medicine after death. Will that bring our brother back to us?

“If the right thing was done, he and the other passengers, will still be alive today. The government can do whatever they wish to do but we are taking our grievances to court.

“We are not seeking compensation, we are not looking for money; how much will they pay for our brother’s life? We are seeking justice.

“We are yet to agree on that but even though it might be better to wait until the report comes out, some of us are concerned that it might take a long while before it is released,” he said.

Lawyers who spoke to our correspondent on the development noted that various reports on the plane crash indicated a high degree of negligence on the part of the airline and the aviation authorities.

The legal practitioners admitted that there were strong grounds on which the victims’ family members could sue the airline, as well as the aviation agencies.

An Abuja-based legal practitioner, Mr. Pius Ofulue, who spoke to our correspondent on the telephone, noted that Akwa Ibom State governor, Godswill Akpabio, reportedly complained to Dana Air officials about the condition of the aircraft.

Ofulue said, “The victims’ beneficiaries and relatives can sue Dana Air for negligence because, according to Akwa Ibom State governor, Godswill Akpabio, he drew their attention to the condition of the aircraft.

“If that is true then they (the management of Dana Air) contributed to that by failing to maintain the aircraft.

“If they are guilty, then they risk paying much more than the normal insurance benefits. The civil aviation authority can also be sued because they failed to perform their statutory duties.”

Another lawyer, Mr. Oghenovo O. Otemu, Assistant Head of Festus Keyamo Chambers, told our correspondent on the telephone that the victims’ relatives can approach lawyers to file cases on their behalf.

Otemu added that the affected families could either as a group or individually approach the court.

But Otemu added that it would be unethical for a lawyer to approach the families to advise them to go to court.

“It will be highly unethical for a lawyer to approach the families and tell them to file charges – that is touting, it is unethical.

He said the families can sue Dana Air and the concerned government aviation agencies for negligence.

Otemu said, “They can file (charges) for negligence. Although we have not seen the report (of the investigations into the plane crash) yet, from various accounts, there is a degree of negligence involved in the accident.

“So, Dana Air could be sued for negligence. It is not only Dana Air, even the government agencies, including the civil aviation authority can also be sued for that. There are also reports of negligence on their part.”

Richvkunt: The Muslims managed to coerce the administrator to give them an exclusive section moderated by Muslims, now the Christians are demanding their own exclusive section moderated by Christians too. While i think it is fair that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander,I wonder if the administrator has not created a Frankenstein monster here, and where will it stop?
Once you give in to the Christians the Atheists will possibly request for their own exclusive section moderated by an Atheist and then the Traditional African religion believers will ask for a section and it will go on for ever.
While i agree in freedom of worship,I personally feel the administrator should NEVER have given in to the Muslims in the first place.Giving in to one threat/request was ultimately going to lead to more threats/requests and it goes on and on.Where will it end?

Travel / Arik Air Orders Boeing's Largest Airplane by Guapo(m): 10:36am On Jun 08, 2012
Arik becomes the first airline in Africa to order Boeing's newest and largest airplane

Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Nigeria's Arik Air today announced a deal for two(2) 747-8 Intercontinental airplanes. The order is valued at $635 million at list prices and was previously attributed to an unidentified customer on Boeing's website.
The order was announced during a signing ceremony at the Corporate Council for Africa's 8th Biennial U.S.-Africa Business Summit in Washington, D.C.
"Air travel within the region continues to grow at a rapid pace and we must prepare our fleet to accommodate that growth," said Sir JIA Arumemi-Johnson, owner and chairman of Arik Air. "Boeing's new 747-8 fits perfectly into our long-term planning. It brings the best operating economics for its size, which is important with the increase in fuel prices."
Arik Air is Nigeria's fastest-growing privately owned airline operating a large fleet of Boeing Next-Generation 737s and serves more than 22 domestic, six regional and three long-haul routes. The airline plans to use the 747-8 on its key long-haul routes.
"Arik Air is growing to become a leader in aviation in Africa and Boeing is happy Arik will use the 747-8 as a cornerstone of their future growth," said Van Rex Gallard, vice president of Sales for Africa, Latin America, and Caribbean, Boeing Commercial Airplanes. "With its unmatched operating costs and economics, the 747-8 is the right airplane to help Arik Air meet growing demand."
The new 747-8 Intercontinental features a new wing design and an upgraded flight deck. The airplane interior incorporates features from the 787 Dreamliner including a new curved, upswept architecture that will give passengers a greater sense of space and comfort.
Using General Electric's GEnx-2B engines, the airplane will be quieter, produce lower emissions and achieve better fuel economy than any competing jetliner. It also increases cargo volume by 26 percent.
"As we look into the future, the 747-8 Intercontinental is a must have for Arik Air," said Sir Arumemi-Johnson. "Our airline strives to bring the best, most efficient and most modern products to our customers and that is exactly what this airplane is."

If the FG will be unbiased with this investigation, if this probe wil be different from the power sector and subsidy probe, then I don't expect any of these airlines to be left in business.
From Chachangi>Aero, to Dana>Air Nigeria.

But do we have to wait for tragedy to strike before we act? Must it take the death of people before we fix roads, and sanitize our airspace? Must people get fried in a metal tube before we realize we have flying coffins as airplanes?

Just as predicted, FG withdraws Dana's license. Soon they'll be back with a new name, new logo, new slogan and we Nigerians that had sworn never to fly Dana will once again fly Dana's cousin.
God Help US.
