First, i want to change the oil, but don't know which to get. The last i used was this fake dexron III atf in tin can.
And that has caused issue in my transmission.

Someone suggest i change the gear switch and fluid, one mechanic said i should change my gearbox that the fibre has melt. but my oil is just dark brown.

Please which oil will you recommend for Honda 2001 Accord. The manual says: Always use a premium-grade deter-gent oil. Always use an oil that is labeled "APIService SJ."
You may use a synthetic motor oil if it meets the same requirements given for conventional motor oil;energy conserving, a service classification of SJ, and the proper weight as shown on the chart.

If the fibres are burnt, it will darken the color of the gear fluid and give out a burnt smell.
Do not attempt to put anything ATF-Z1 in your gear as that will definitely be a fake clone from China, Honda stopped Z1 in 2011 & replaced it DW1(also cloned) which is backwards compliant.
Look for the genuine DW1 that has a computer generated batch code at the reverse side.


Whoever told you an EOD gear is 65k is NOT correct, may not have any intention of replacing yours.

Its not an EOD, its an Accord 2001 UK Model (not the generic baby boy). The transmission fluid is dark brown.
Some said i should use Oando/Mobil (can't not remember the specific one again).

Hi all, I recently worked on my Honda accordd 2001 Euro Model, the car gear got locked and refused to go back to pack, then i called a mechanic to help me fix it. After all he said he needed to buy something called gear key which i gave him money to purchase.
After fixing it, the gear was free, but then i noticed that when i put it in reverse, each time i pedal the acceleration the car jerks and comes with a sound (Gbi), but this only happens when the car is getting idle.
Also when i put it on drive mode, i get same continous jerking until the gear changes.

Note: This wasn't happening before the gear got locked, but the sound (Gbi) occurs faintly because of the back engine seat which has wornout.
Note: The car is automatic.

Have anybody experience same thing?
I want to fix the issue but can't rely on these mechanics to do try luck.

I am most certain your drive shaft is broken/bad. Get a mechanic to check and if it is then have is changed.

Hello, recently I experienced an issue with my car.
As I was reversing out from the gate in the morning, I noticed that the car went out from gear and refuse to move.
I tried to change gear to drive, but still not moving. Then I decided to take it back to park, but it refuses to move past the reverse gear. I brought it back to drive gear, the I speedily push the gear to park without letting slowing down.
I off the car and started it again, when I put it past reverse gear, it still does the same thing as above. I also noticed that the car selects gear properly but doesn't move. When I accelerate, I hear some strange some sound as if something that is suppose to make it move is now free.
Note: I just came back from the east 2days prior to the day the issue occurred and it was working fine until that morning.
Pls advice me.
