Is it that the app is non-functional? or they haven't been paying interest?

Pure fact

SteveOfu:
E DEY SHOCK YOU?

You locked people down for three months without any palliatives and made them go hungry even as they heard how governments of other countries put in place measures to mitigate the effect of the lockdown. They kept silent.

You closed borders about a year ago claiming sufficiency in food production locally. The people watched as rice raced beyond the reach of the common man, beans dragged price with gold and Garri became a rich man's food. They stomached this hunger and wish succour would come, but no, VAT was increased on consumables thereby increasing prices of food commodities.

You grinned as the people groan, they were not happy with you as you implement your anti-people policies. They waited and cry as they hear billions spent on SCHOOL-FEEDING DURING SCHOOL CLOSURE, they stomached it and waited patiently.

You thought the best gift after lockdown and it's attendant economic effects on the people is to increase FUEL PRICE and ELECTRICITY TARIFFS. The people made attempts to register their displeasure but NO, you shouted them down unleashing your agents to rein them in, yes they did and the people went home and yet waited.

Now they saw an opportunity in #ENDSARS, they came in large numbers, you tried but failed to scatter them.

They saw how jittery you are and knew that you are not as hard as you look, they exerted more blows and you are shouting what more do they want?

This fight is beyond #ENDSARS it is a call for justice and a LOUD EXPRESSION of our displeasure with the cluelessness you give us as governance.

If you succeed in dispersing the protesters now, you have only postponed the inevitable for another DAY.

NIGERIA NEEDS TO BE REFORMED, NOT SOON BUT THIS SOON

AMINDA:

Can you kindly name a country where devaluation worked as an economic model? The IMF and co who are the drivers of such policies never recommend it to themselves when in similar position, only to African and poorer south east Asian countries. When Italy and Greece faced financial crisis, the EU quickly bailed it with several billions of dollars but curiously, there was no recommendation for devaluation, subsidy removal and other conditionalities that comes with such loans when Africa is involved.

In 2016, the then President of the IMF, Christine Lagarde was in Nigeria to personally pressurize Buhari to devalue the naira, Buhari kept resisting until he could no longer resist anymore. The result? Immediately he devalued, Nigeria went into full scale recession. Why hasn't devaluation worked for countries like Zimbabwe and now Venezuela? At a point in Zimbabwe, it was cheaper to use the Zimbabwean dollar to plaster your house than to buy a bucket of paint. One piece of egg cost more than five thousand Zimbabwean dollars. Zimbabwe became the only country in history where everyone was a millionaire but still poorer than a church rat. I would leave you to research what Venezuela is currently going through.

Nigeria has been devaluing since the 1980s and apart of putting less money in our pockets and reducing our purchasing power, nothing has changed. It is one of the greatest weapon of neo-colonialists and it is only designed to make the poor countries poorer. Sad thing is they now sell some of these policies through our foreign trained sons and daughters in form of Ngozi Okonjo Iweala and co. People like Adesina of the AFDB who are pro Africa are blackmailed and removed from their spots when they do not conform. Open your eyes!

The same West that tells us to stop all forms of subsidy still provide subsidies to their farmers as seen in America and the EU. Excess products are sold to Africa at a rate where our local markets cannot compete.
Our solutions must come from within and must be locally tailored, not text book based! Devaluation has not and will never work in Nigeria, at least for now.

Shalom!

Wow... Pure fact

Agric C of Os are also very much genuine, it's just that the purposes differ from that of Residential or Commercial C of Os. Once they tell a any property is covered by a CofO, try to check 4 things.

1. The propose of the CofO. It is usually written on the front page. Residential, Agricultural, Industrial, Mixed-use, Commercial or Utility.

2. The time span of the CofO. This is written inside the C of O, page 2 or 3. No CofO is issued for infinity and the longest time span is usually 99 years for Residential CofOs. While Agric C of Os have a short lifespan of about 15 to 25 years, others are for much longer.

3. Commencement. The time the CofO commences is very important. It is written on the front page of the C of O and determines when it starts and the remaining lease left on the land. If you get a C of O commencing from 1991 and to last for 99 years, it means it is to expire in 2090 and you have 70 years left on the lease.

4. Covenants. This is very important because these are the hidden clauses where the main terms of the grant are hidden. The conditions upon which the CofO are granted are written here and it is advised that you read them properly.

Thank you for this information.

Wow... I have been following this thread for a long time now. In fact I'm addicted to this thread. I want to sincerely thank all contributors and financial gurus on this thread.

Before now I have this mentality of just accumulating wealth by saving into the bank without investing but now that has change.

I have 300k invested in Stanbic IBTC mutual funds(my first investment) since last year March. Now I have 200k lying idle in bank account, any advise on what to do with it that will yield returns and my capital will be guaranteed?
