It depends on why you need the Oil Roustabout Training.

Are you targeting getting a job with a Drilling Company?

Is it your area of specialization?

Or are you interested in making it your area of specialization?

Recall that as an Oil and Gas roustabout, you are involved in many drilling components and their maintenance including pumps, skips, skids, mud shakers, pits, trenches, draw works (in many instances) etc.

If you feel it will be of use to you, then why not. If you want to get to know these drilling equipment piece by piece, and you feel it is knowledge that is professionally useful to you, then why not. Especially, if you are expecting something from a Drilling Company and you have the funds to go for the training.

I appreciate your post,insightful as usual. I wish to make it an area of specialization and hopefully get a job after d training.

At Deslog energy training institute,roustabout goes 4 40k(d program runs from 13-15 June), last year I paid 250k at Novelle centre Lagos for nebosh

I feel if d student had rephrased the question like: How is work sir? Maybe the lecturer wouldn't b harsh on him,cos asking how's work sir/ma.....to elders encapsulates you are asking about their welfare as well as dia work......

I hail oo bros,I need a little direction....m a graduate of computer science but have been undergoing HSE training since 2015 with Ispon,CIEH,Nebosh....I intend undergoing training in roustabout,what is the likelihood of getting a job with this upcoming training I wish to do(I mean roustabout).
