Very nice Project. I feel that structures just like these are easy handle on by state govt rather than federal government. Contractors handling state projects are more monitored than those handling federal structures in state.
Romance / Re: Is Anything Wrong With Dating Or Marrying A Policeman Or Woman? by henrychubayo: 11:39am On Dec 05, 2013
I just laughed wen I read this question. For one thing, they can never reveal their profession to you at the early stage of the relationship. At least, I know a girl who buys clothes from me, she will beg me not to tell anyone she is a police woman. At another place, I was passing by a police main office in Enugu, I saw two pretty girls changing their clothes in a place. They can never where that clothe outside d station cause the are not field officers. For one thing, if they are not proud of that profession, then something is wrong.

Nairaland / General / Re: Sending International Parcel Via Nipost - A Big Disaster. Watch !!! by henrychubayo: 9:42pm On Dec 03, 2013
Sorry guys but I actually have a different opinion to these. I saw great changes in Nipost. I really applaud them. I did experience a surprise. Nipost got my mails to overseas exactly 7 days for several times. They airlift the parcels thru plane and not ship. The problem is if u want to post, plz try the head office of that state u re residing. Many of the offices in local places have lazy workers who don't care. They can take some days to shift it to the head office which will send to Lagos head office for final compilation before dispatching it to various countries. Nipost is working hard now.

All i see here are white illegal immigrants. Am impressed with the food offered even though they are not wanted. In nigeria detention, the food the will offer, the sight of it alone will make you beg for deportation. Hahahaahha

You have done good and have taken the first step to post it online. Plz send that picture to the next available newspaper with some write up. I just hope that maintenance dept need to be created in this country urgently. People are shouting Jonathan and others but seems individuals needs to play their role. If the manager of these premises is not corrrupt, he should have done something somehow. The whole system is so corrupt. Few months ago, someone showed pix of NTA toilet. Even HIV, YELLOW fever could be contacted just by looking at it. Maintenance needs to be taken very serious.
Sports / Re: I’m Not Afraid Of Sack – Keshi by henrychubayo: 8:30am On Nov 26, 2013
In everything you said, I do agree with u. But I find it annoying when you said u can't win the world cup. Those who won it are not better than us. We won the under 17 and the Olympics. What will prevent us from winning. How can u accept defeat when the tournament have not yet started. These is the mentality of a black man. You qualification was merited. Even in europe, matched you play to qualify in africa surpass that of europe. The qualification was merited and why should u feel you won't win the cup. It is a disrespect on our part. May be the feeling that you won't win it has made you to be sacked each time. It is now that you need to come with the right state of mind. You positive confidence will inspire these players and make them want to win. The match against italy shows we are on the right part. Plz believe and be confident. Be like Jose Morinho who believe even when he can't do it. That confidence is necessary and needed in u and the players.
Travel / Re: Arik Air’s Joburg Passengers Stranded In Lagos by henrychubayo: 7:55am On Nov 26, 2013
They should make alternative arrangement to airlift people if the current aircraft fails. Most people there have appointments, business and they need to meet up because time is everything.

On the other hand, our ppl should learn to be patience. Instead of the plane failing on the way, its better they canceled it.

This is what I find out with ET airline this morning. I can book online and go and pay at the airport. They will charge me a service fee to pay at the airport. The fees are very very small. Compared with what an agent told me to pay, I will be saving lots of money. My people everywhere can learn this trick also.

They gave a free baggage of 30kg(very small sha). But technically, we should start learning how to minimize our stuffs cause may be you don't need them all like the white ppl do.

Crime / Re: Student Sentenced To Death For Stealing Recharge Cards And A Mobile Phone by henrychubayo: 9:10pm On Nov 19, 2013
Sometimes, when u have a first hand experience of armed robbery attack, you won't feel pity for these guy.

I still remember my good friend Ejike. He was working but didn't get paid on time. So he decide to use Okada to make small money for evening food. He was called by one lady selling recharge card to take her home. The were attacked and this guys shot Ejike twice in his heart. He died. So sad.

If this boy is armed with gun, he can do anything to get his way. So my brothers, sometimes, don't feel pity for this guys if you don't know the real story. If he acted things prescribe by death penalty in the law, he should face it. But for me, let it be reduced to life atlest.

Am just asking. All this flight landing in Enugu since August, does it mean, no one of the passengers have cameras or even phone to snap a bit of what is going on at the airport. I understand that some pix are to be kept secret but then atleast we have a view of what arrival in Enugu is like to them and others. The Environments and many other things going on there. Such pix are important for those who are keen to land there.

Education / Re: A Man Bought A Mobile Phone Instead Of Paying His Children 's School Fees by henrychubayo: 12:10pm On Nov 14, 2013
Before anyone makes a conclusion in this case or post a comment, it is wise to ask, Is it the only money he has. He may have money in his account to pay for the fees of his kids. So its not a debatable issue. Wat is wrong though is if this is his last capital, he shouldn't have bought a phone of that cost so dat he can still pay for his kids fees. He needs both cause in this computer era, phone is a necessity and not a luxury.
Travel / Re: Ethiopian Airlines To Begin Flights To Kano by henrychubayo: 10:30am On Nov 11, 2013
atlwireles:

They are only picking international passengers. The local airlines should find ways to attract mid-class Nigerians. Flying local in Nigeria, is way too high. Imagine Lagos---Warri is N36,000. why?

You re correct. Lagos to Warri for one way is N36,000, Lagos to Johannesburg N90,000 return with Arik. Is too expensive.

This is getting serious. But its a nice lesson for her and others. Wen I was in coal city before they wed, I learnt that he is married b4 and it didn't go well with his previous marriage. Someone who is married b4 but divorce his wife is likely to do the same with you. The Governor might be doing great job in his administration but he might not be good in relationship and she rushed to marry him to be called first lady. Am sorry but that is your choice madam. For better for worse.

Politics / Re: Appeal To The Minister For Foreign Affairs: Consular Offices In The East by henrychubayo: 5:39am On Nov 04, 2013
I love this suggestion. Now that most embassies use VFS and other agencies for visa applications, it will be good to encourage the VFS to open offices in Enugu and PH. As for the US and BRITAIN, those of our ppl who re citizens of this countries can play a major role in this regard. If they can come in group and make a formal presence at the embassies in Abuja and Lagos, with their letters of request, then the Ambassador will start making some plans about it. Wen u look at somethings, u will notice dat some people have not been treated fairly just because they came from a particular region. From Abuja to Kaduna and Abuja to Enugu, which one is nearer and yet they have leaders then most have asked them to open the office in Kaduna. The same with Lagos to Ibadan, and Lagos to Enugu or PH. In d east and Niger delta, we have nothing, yet ppl still want us to remain dat way. Changes are needed very urgently now

I see the points made by our people. Some feel is not good to continue to post pix of the airport. Others feel it doesn't make sense to stop posting. I agree we need to be careful if not for anything, for the fact that out of all d 5 proposed international airports, its only Enugu that work has continued at a high level cause GEJ and Our dear minister are still with us. The guy who has the pix, please post in ur facebook and post the details to us here so dat we can view it from there for those of us who re curious to see. But I agree there is need to be careful with this project. The minister is well hated for opening Enugu route to d international world. I see dat they accuse her of stopping other airline from flying to other places. They will soon accuse her of abandoning other airports to complete d Enugu. We just need to be careful with the pix

ketoprofen: I visited the airport 3 days ago, they have plastered the international terminal building, done the roofing skeleton; It remains the windows, doors and painting.
They are also doing the landscaping.

Plz I have a question. You mean d new international terminal has been built already and been plastered right now and even reaching to d point of it been roofed? This sounds very interesting. I would be pleased to see the pix. Also we want it to be d exact of wat the pix we saw about the proposed terminal. PIX PLEASE.

kostadinis:

The news is that two AirBus A330---300 have been made available. They belong to a Turkish Aviation Co. Each with a 387 seats capacity will fly in and out of AIIA till the end of the pilgrimage. Not bad for AIIA.

They should have used ET at least to compensate the effort and persistence of this guys. Their effort is gradually gaining momentum for the airport.

Really?! Do you realize that Nigeria is richer than almost all of West Africa put together? Like OP said, why do you guys love mediocrity? Why dont you feel you deserve anything good?

It is u and the OP who deserve to be corrected. What he saw is a local airport not an international one. Again it is better than what we have before. So let us not start criticizing before other people will start pushing for the closure just because the airport is not an international one fit for handling international travels.

Why must we start complaining about this airport while the new terminal in been built just beside it? We should be careful on how we reason.

The Op said he don't mind closing the airport and building a new structure. Is he blind to see the new structure there? Does he think that if not because of the minister, that the airport will be completed in 20 years to come if pull down? I guess hs just came to Nigeria new and don't know how politics and ethnicity works hand in hand.
