Going through the link the OP posted, isn't it clear that the home based wife automatically becomes the 1st lady?

The first wife lives abroad, I'm sure the family has agreed/ or have their agreement in place already.

Let's desist from making everything about politics!!

28 years!!! Haba na, that punishment is too harsh. The guy should appeal abeg.

He is definitely not a first time offender. That is just the judge's way of keeping him away for a long time.

Nigeria Law school now admits Noun graduates. The 1st batch were admitted in 2020 but had to start from Bar part 1.

Hopefully they will be placed at par with their contemporaries from other universities.

This just re-enforces the fact that most kidnappings are done with insider dealings.

Sad as it may sound, family, friends or colleagues are indirectly involved in the deal.

I guess this was done to help people have a balanced view.
If true, it means the sister wasn't sick but prolly frustrated.

Funke may not need to explain to anybody but she'd be forced to to clear her brand.

Your philanthropy would be scrutinized if people close to you are "neglected" whilst you go far away to do "good".

She's a movie producer, who has a lot of people interpreting roles for her. They get paid for their effort.

So, how many of this people do you think will fall under your "close to her" category?

I need your advise my people. I currently get UC and CB due to my visa status (exempt) but now I have moved to tier 2. I was initially afraid my visa would be denied when I applied to change to T2 as I declared on my application that I accessed benefits. But alas, it was successful. Now that I am on T2 I do not know if I can continue to get the UC and CB or I should tell them to stop it. I am four years to ILR. My UK mum told me not to cancel it that they can not deny me of ILR solely because I accessed benefits. She said I could inform them that I would be paying it back in bits during my ILR application. My people I am now at a cross-road on what to do. Will accessing UC affect my ILR application even when my child would have registered as a British by then? Thanks!

There are a number of changes to circumstance DWP expects claimants to report, one of which is a change in immigration status. If your new visa restricts you from public funds, then it is best to notify them officially. If they find out later on, most times, they initiate court proceedings to be able to reclaim the excess money back from claimants.

I'm sure you won't want that considering your ILR in view.

Not that the food are not good. Every natural food is good, but during harvesting, they do everything in a hurry as if flood is coming and they don't look clean and presentable. If it's a bag of beans, they even add extra dust to make fill the bag so that they can make more profit.

I wanted to buy beans a few days in one African shop only to realise I'll have to go and pick it because it wasn't stone-cleaned before exporting.

I jejely waka go buy supermarket beans.

Will this really solve the japa syndrome??

They'll simply resign & leave the system!!!

As a matter of fact, this policy will only end up stopping the very few that genuinely intend returning.

When they eventually return, they can reapply for their position. Leave of absence should be to go study and not for taking up employment overseas.

Thank you so much for this explanation, I really appreciate, we are relocating to the Uk and my daughter wrote the NECO Exam in November, so we wanted to find out if it is recognized in the Uk inorder to get admission into the University of A Levels as the case may be. I just need more light. Thank you so much.

She will need to open a profile with UK-ENIC to do an evaluation of her NECO results and for them to issue her a statement of comparability with UK's GCSE. Arrange a result checking scratch card, she'll need to provide one as they will verify result from Neco website. Service costs 64pounds.

Unlike our's with A1-F9 gradings, the standard here is 9-1 with 9 being the highest grades and 1 the lowest.

She's good to go once she has done the evaluation.

Hope that helps.

Exactly. Jamb made NIN compulsory in 2020 before eventually relaxing the rules.

Has anyone recently done the PCC certificate?

Any links or hints on how to get it, would be appreciated. The website returns an error code when I try to access the pcc function

Have you registered your profile on the portal? Until you do that, you'll keep getting the error code.

It’s a legit document. I don’t need to check any website. Here’s a redacted version of the sample.
I’ve confirmed from ex-colleagues in Canada, this is what they use.

This document is mostly used to validate our Nigerian License in Canada. It won't do anything to prove your No claims discount.

Approach Axa Mansard to issue you one even if it is for the one year comprehensive insurance you did, hopefully it was in your name.

For clarification purposes, the letter should come from your insurance company and not FRSC. See sample attached

Actually she’s moving out, I refused to moved out and told my landlord they have no right to ask me to leave, quoted the law for them in a strongly worded email and she will be moving out now.

What was their response to your email?

Is she moving out immediately or at the expiration of the notice period?

As usual you have come with misrepresenting what people say to drive this your oppression agenda.

I never said you should not advocate for whatever. In fact, if you read my comment again, I said I agree that economic migration is a contractual issue, so clearly we all have rights and must protect them.

What I was calling out is your attempts to frame these measures as being unheard of, inhumane, and out of the norm of what countries (including our home country) put in place, making it seem as if the primary driving force for these policies is hate for immigrants or wanting to oppress migrants.

I know you'll still spin this as you want, but I'm just clearing the air for other hopefully more objective people.

Honestly, Goke needs to address issues from a logical point of view and not out of emotions.

He makes some good points, but has a way of twisting people's words in a sinister way.

Every side to this discussion have raised valid points. But while others present theirs objectively, he is subjective in his opinion.

Hi Gurus…
I want to make enquiries pls.

My International license(Nigeria Normal license) expired on the 30th of November 2023.
But I haven’t used 12month in the UK . Hope it won’t be a problem since I was in UK before the license expired?

Your input will be appreciated

What is your question? You want to drive using the expired license since you are not up to 12mths in the UK?

Good

Please what can I do as I do not want to move due to the stress involve in looking for an apartment as well as moving out. Please I really need help.

Would you rather not stress to look for another apartment than living with a co-tenant who seems out to frustrate you?

How many more police incident awaits in the future? After all the hustling, the least one thing everyone owes themself is to retire back home to peace in a dwelling free of rancor.

That is my point of view, you and others may see things differently!

Please how so I go about this?
This should be same as Police Character Certificate, right?
Time in Nigeria implies from what point? A year before a migrated?

How do I cross this bridge, most persons I spoke with, claimed they did theirs back home, I mean, travelled to the UK alongside with it.

Experienced elders please advise.
Thank you

You can actually apply online. Cost 30k and turn around time about 72-96hrs.

Open an acct with www.possap.gov.ng and apply. I just received mine yesterday. They sent a pdf copy to my email

They basically search the criminal conviction database up till the time you left Nigeria.

Spouse of a person hoping to get a care visa at implementation of the new policy can simply apply for a spouse visa as long as the combine joint income of the spouse or partner is 38,700 and above.

This is a way to get around the new policy if it affects spouse already in UK.

Spousal visas are for British citizens. Oversea workers don't qualify until they attain settled status(ILR).
