Ponders end is one of the best hospitals you can use for gynae and child birth issues in benin, it's owned by Dr Ojobo he's a renowned gynae in West Africa,and even consults for UBTH and he's there all by himself almost 247 and his bills are quite cheap too. I know lots of people that stay outside benin but just go there for his services on fertility issues

And you explained so clearly to me better than the hospitals I went. Or can you recommend a good hospital on the island? Around Ajah/Lekki/ VGC metropolis.

If you stay around these places you mentioned, I would suggest you go to general hospital, akodo,its in ibeju lekki. Their gynae and antenatal days are usually hectic but they have lots of good consultants there . Most private hospitals around that area rush their emergency cases there. In all may God guide, heal and restore you soonest!

Ok so I went for ante natal yesterday,n all is well. Dey v been telling me right from time dat m gonna hv a CS( fibroids), but dey cant take out the fibroids during cs, fine, only for the gyne to say they will have to do the two together(delivery and myectomy). All costing 500k apart from several test ill have to do and having blood ready.
Dont know y she wants to do them together now, n even if I want to do only cs it will be 200k plus, abeg dis money plenty o.
Any doc in d house or any one with experience pls advice. Thinking of changing hospital (quality with lesser price ), any suggestion is welcome. 29weeksnow, baby weighing 1.3, largest fibroid measuring 10cm(they are much), n one is totally blocking the cervix.

Hi, i.breeze in here once in a while, just did and thank God I stumbled on your post! Please and please do not risk your life! I presume that hospital is a private hospital, they might just be after making the money damning all the risks involved, come to think of it, why did the doc change his mind all of a sudden? You can Google it up, myomectomy and CS are most times not done together because of the risk of excessive bleeding which can become life threatening . And your fibroids not just big but multiple too, meaning they are in different locations in your womb which will make myomectomy even take longer time. Please you live on lagos, go and get a second opinion before you subject yourself to your doctors decision from a general (government) hospital, or a teaching hospital ( like LUTH). They have the best consultants there, they are usually many and even brainstorm on issues if need be! God bless you and grant you a safe delivery

my love for cooking allows me experiment any meal, add or subtract, some people believe fresh fish(frozen) is best vegetable okra soup,well I say variety is the spice of life,I have prepared both, can't decide which is sweeter though.

ingredients for turkey okra soup
-okra
-turkey
-dry fish
-cow skin(ponmo)
-cray fish
-pumpkin leave(ugu)
-palm oil
-dry grinded pepper (preferably Cameron pepper,nice scent)
-seasoning
-locust bean (if desired)

method of cooking
wash and grate okra using a grater( I use knife and a chopping board or knife only)
wash,put turkey and dry fish in a pot add salt,onion,curry thyme,Maggi (grate nut meg if u wish,love the smell)
add the dry grinded pepper
allow it to cook for about10mins add palm and cover till the turkey is cooked
add grinded crayfish and locust beans
add cow skin
add okra
add pumpkin leave
allow it to boil for 2 min and its ready.


NB:make sure the quantity of water is not so much, better the soup is thick than to be too watery,you can always add water if its too thick
*the hardness of the cow skin determines the time you would add it. if soft,add it late but if hard, add it to turkey immediately
*same methods with chicken, beef, fresh fish etc
