Family / Re: Little Children's Annoying Habits. by Jemibee: 12:38pm On Mar 15, 2012
I advice that u take it easy with ur son. He's just 4yrs old and that's still a small boy. Here kids start school at 3yrs so u should undstd this is the right time to mould him. Smack him when u need to, talk and frown also when the need arises. But u can't expect him to know when and when not to do thgs...He's just a child.

I pray the good Lord grants u the wisdom to train ur child and also the patience. My son is just 17mths and he already knows when i'm angry and if he still persists, i spank him (even though his dad doesn't like that). At the end of the day, a spoilt child would be his mother's headache while a brilliant child is trully the father's (yoruba culture).
Culture / Re: Are You A Village Or City Person? by Jemibee: 10:50am On Mar 15, 2012
I prefer the city!! Maybe because in the village, u have limited options. It's relaxing yes but not when one is obliged to be der through out the year. I can't even imagine what it'd be like...

Travel / Re: How Old Is Too Young, To Have Nigeria Int. Passport? by Jemibee: 10:42am On Mar 15, 2012
We applied for our son when he was barely 2weeks old. But since it was done outside 9ja, at the 9ja embassy, they claimed it was to be issued in abuja. We didn't get it until 2mths later. It carries his 2wks old pic and they didn't object to the idea at all.

With the new biometric passport, a kid can no longer be attached to his mom's passport. So i don't undstd when 9ja immigration is trying to explain to u.
Nairaland / General / Re: Lagos To Seize Clothes Spread In Open Places by Jemibee: 10:37am On Mar 15, 2012
I concur !! That's what they should do jare...Lagos and it's unlawful residents. I tire for them ooo

I remember my late mom never allowed any of her tenants do such. Even if she didn't live in the same compound, she used to go on unscheduled visits and once she saw such, she always drew their attention to it saying it made the whole place look unkept.

My dear, i advice u bind (with prayers) that spirit that makes u think about ur ex all day. It definately isn't the spirit of God. What God has joined 2geda, let no man put asunder... Pls try to focus on ur marriage and it shall be well.
Family / Re: Is It Right To Work For One's Father -inlaw/wife's Family?? by Jemibee: 10:09am On Mar 13, 2012
This is a delicate one u know, working for one's in-law. When i read the post, i was hoping it'd be the lady asking if she could work for her husband's family. That'd have been an easy one.

As it is, i'd advice that u stick to ur job because noone can guarantee it'd be a good experience. I am of the opinion that ur present job would give u more credibility in their eyes and that way, u'd also keep ur privacy. because working with them would mean they know ur worth, any mistakes in ur job, ur waife would be aware. Ur father in-law could be very bossy, ur brother in-law may feel u're taking away what rightfully belongs to him...In short too many thgs u may not be able to control.

It all depends on the person in question. If it's just a friend, a piece would do. Imagine if it's ur in-laws or aunties and uncles, a piece would be being insultive.

Health / Re: Pregnancy Are You Pregnant Or Going Through A High Risk Pregnancy,,lets Talk by Jemibee: 12:17pm On Mar 09, 2012
I must state that this thread is really interesting and highly instructive. I'm presently 10wks pregg and this is my 2nd preg. I have a 17mths old son. Funny enough, his pregnancy went on smooth without any major complain other than early mrng sickness in my 1st trimester. Thgs normalised afterwards but guys, labour was Hell !! Was languishing in pain for 10 solid hrs before he finally decided to come. He was born at 39wks. I promised myself never to go thru such again but trust me, u'll be the one begging after u've tasted motherhood.

I noticed my son used to be extra happy in the midst of another kid and i said to myself, giving him a sibling would really brighten his day. But with this pregnancy, it's so difficult getting up in the mrngs (started working some 6mths ago), hardly do eat, always tired and don't like eating what i cook.

This is really creating pblms in my marriage. I used to thk my hubby understood me since he never complained but he did ystd and it dawned on me that he doesn't know how much work it is to make a baby. How i wish he could check some stuff online, he'd surely appreciate me better. Also it's not as if i don't cook at all but it's nomore regular.

Na wa for this guy oo!! as in, has he exhausted all other possible means to resolve this family crisis before making it public??

Igbos can be funny with their culture u know. Since it has been said that he's a love child and not a legitimate one, my advice is that he ceases to make gest of himself. Stop all this madness and try on your own to make u. Stop dreaming on another's inheritance.
