I'm just wondering how the timetable will look like for one person taking 9 classes without period clashes. Mhen this is crazy, ur body go tell u o, wish I have an answer for you cos both are errors to me. I'm speaking from experience as once a physics and mathematics teacher but I never had such a loaded workload

very realistic since he's full time staff but it's the stress we should be concerned about. He will be expected to mark their assignments, tests, exams at the end of each term.

iruoghene7:
So I got the notification from emzor to com for test/interview today and as it stands now I need to make a decision now before monday next week.
SCHOOL
Renumeration: 30k/month but likely to be reduced if no means to meet up by the proprietor.

Promised to assist by paying a part of the rent close to the school. Though don't know his future plans if he will attach people to me.

Working duration/day: 7:15a.m - 3 pm. Saturdays and Sundays are mine though writing of lesson note would cut a reasonable chunk of it.

Already informed the proprietor about NPower application and pending deployment so I would take permission to attend to that when it starts.

*Downside*
Renumeration isn't constant as I'm made to understand.

Writing of lesson notes for 9 classes (Mathematics: jss1-ss3, physics: ss1-ss3) is somehow mentally draining.
Tfare: ₦440/day

Wouldn't want to stay in my parents house at this age and because of the situation of things interms of cost of living. I would obviously leave with them till June ends before I can move into my new apartment.

*Factory work (emzor)*
Passed their interview and test today and high probability of getting an invite for training on Monday as we were informed by the interviewer.

Renumeration: basically 30k excluding O.T, health insurance and other benefits.
Working duration: 8a.m - 5pm( morning shift). Same hours for night shift.

Tfare: ₦400/day.
Weekends are off and can be used for O.T at your own discretion.

Please I really need your advice on this and your constructive criticisms are welcome. Thank.
I will appreciate it more if this isoved to front page please it's urgent. Help a brother with your candid advice.

Emzor is far better since it's flexible.

How can you be teaching 2 subjects for such a paltry amount.

Anyway I don't actually blame these school owners. I blame job seekers as you will see them posting how they can teach 4 subjects at once just to be hired.

Modern day slavery.

Don't agree. Besides you need to change your circle and engage in self development.

What do you do for a living besides virginity? It seems you even announce your status to them.

I went to a private hospital today for a more comprehensive diagnosis. I was told that from the symptoms I'm exhibiting and test results as well, it's best I undergo partial colectomy, because the cancer has grown deep into the layers of my colon wall, but not outside the colon wall yet. My family, as well as you guys have been of immense help, and I really appreciate all your advice. I'll be updating y'all on my progress. Never in my life did I ever think that this would happen to me. Sincerely, it feels like a dream to me. Thanks everyone.

I guess it's in a Nigerian hospital. Remind doctors not to forget their surgical tools when they finish and not to cut the intestines.
Education / Re: Accommodating An Insolent Girl by Kirinwa: 11:05pm On Apr 27, 2021
daveyjay:
Good day NLers, please I need your take on this.
I'm a student in one of Nigeria's prominent public universities.

A girl decided to vie for admission in my school via the predigree programme but she had no accommodation. Because of the relationship between my parents and hers, I offered to take her in from January till now

I offered a roof over her head.

The first night she came, she slept on the floor and I wasn't okay with that, the following night, I told her she could have the bed, I vacated my bed and relegated myself to sleeping on the floor, we can't share same bed since she's neither my babe nor sister. And this sleeping routine has continued ever since then. The floor is my new bed

I gave her my spare key, uncensored access to my kitchen and everything within my legal occupancy.
Cut long story short, last week Tuesday she woke up, had her bath, ate then stepped out briefly, when she returned we were outta water. Tap water of course. She called my attention to it to which I remained calm. Meanwhile I hadn't eaten neither had I bathed. At noon, she came to me that she was hungry but couldn't cook due to unavailability of water, I then asked her if I am to fetch her water??!.

She said she was gonn take food stuff to her friend's place (upstairs) to cook.
I replied by asking how many of her friends had lacked water and brought food stuff to cook here??!

She got angry and took some money and left

That same Tuesday, I went to see Chelsea game, when I returned, I asked her if she cooked but she didn't dignify me with her attention talk more of a response.
I thought it was rude but considered it as one of the many tantrums of ladies

The following morning, she woke up, acted like I don't exist, couldn't greet... had her bathe and left. Returned, unlocked the door, walked in like I wasn't there, ate, left to her friend's place.

On Thursday she repeated the routine, I called her back when she was going out, I asked her if she considered me as her father, brother or boyfriend that she'd wake up and start throwing attitudes...
I made her understand that I am her benefactor.
Hardly did I finish before she left. She returned and continued in same path and that has continued till this very moment...

Last night she didn't sleep at home, when she returned in the morning, she unlocked the door with her spare, walked in, ate, brushed, dressed and walked out without a single word e come be like say I be ghost.

What I did, I changed the locks, took some stuff, sealed my door with strict instructions to the caretaker then moved to a friends place outside my lodge and I've been there ever since.

She has returned and has been calling my line but I've been ignoring...

Now, is my action too harsh or still in line??!

Lol. You shouldn't overdo it. She's entitled to take her stuff if you're tired of her.

But that's how some wives behave. It calls for maturity.

This apart, I have several concerns.

Upon the blunder in the post at the beginning, the MOD could not correct it. Confusing he, him, she, her.

That aside, another concern is her safety. She's not safe. Dude stayed in a mental home for one month and you think he has recovered?

Geonigga:
I have sometime in February this year made a post of a lady I met and who refused taking my calls one certain night and which I did a post seeking for advise here.

Let me now go straight to the recent happening in the relationship with this lady whom I met in the church and who also live in the same estate with me in fact her house is not that far from mine though she is living with her aunt.

It happened that on Wednesday being the 21st of April, 2021, when I arrived home from work, it is my usual practice to call her and when I called her that very day, she took her call and told me that she is very hungry and her reason was that she didn't like what they cooked in her house. I have to invite her over to my house and she ate very well and even took a bottle of soft drink before leaving for her house that night which I also gave her a naira note in case she wants to buy anything the following day.

The following day being the 22nd of April, as usual when I came back from work around 6:30pm, I put two calls across to her which were made in different intervals, but lol and behold this lady I thought she was my girl friend didn't pick up the calls, I remained calmed and went to bed that night.

However, during the course of the night, around 11:30pm that night my phone rang and I took the phone to know who was calling, it was this my so called girl friend that was calling, I had to ignore the call.

The following day very early in the morning she called again but I was preparing for work and I didn't want anything that will ignite sad mood on me, I have to ignored her calls even when I was at the office.

Later in the evening when I was about leaving the office she called again and I picked up the call with a mild attention, she then asked why I refused taking her calls since, I replied her by saying that she started it, this lady has to immediately end the call and up until now she has refused to take my calls or call back.

Please I really want to know who is at fault here because she is now making it look as if I am at fault but as it is I have made up my mind to call it a quit if she can not step down her pride and apologize. I will appreciate you guys opinions on this.

Relationship is not a revenge mission.

It seems you have some growing up to do.

She's more emotionally mature than you. You're cringy.

even educated hausa men can do this fyi.

It's all about culture that's where tribe comes from. Different tribes have different cultures.

A typical hausa man is rigid despite education and they are more serious minded.

A typical Igbo man will not be this vocal over dance and might even despite not liking it as he considers what others think of his actions.

Which government are talking about? Same government that has refused vehemently to sign 50k as minimum wage. Yet they buy luxury cars to gift their co thieves in power always, probably after a huge looting.

This has nothing to do with being patriotic, nigerians don't deserve all these punishment they are getting from their leaders.
It's pathetic and inhumane

I don't know why it is like that everywhere. Using the teachers to make money and paying them peanuts, money that couldn't sustain them.

I have done calculation where a school earns over #3 million in a term and only pay teachers barely #1million for the whole term.

What happens to #2million then?

If you see how they are struggling to keep #2000 from you, you will marvel.
