Every single one of these men had the encounter they did with the God of Israel— YHWH— as a result of their resolve to live in complete obedience to His commandments and statutes. Jeremiah was a Prophet of God, and Jesus Christ was the last prophet sent from God of Israel; Jesus Christ said all those who pretend to be of Him yet claiming to be prophets were false Prophets and False Teachers.

1. All of the books of the New Covenant/Testament were written before 70 AD, the same century that Jerusalem was destroyed. So what are you getting at? God's Law is the National Constitution of the Nation He constituted and they are contained in Scripture even to this day since they were passed down.

2. Which God? Praying in a direction means absolutely nothing since the God of Israel— YHWH— never commanded anyone to pray in the direction of Israel in any of His Laws!
