Politics / 2023 Presidential Election: Why Pressure Is On Jonathan by lamzybaby: 8:51am On Nov 23, 2020
Former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan may emerge the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC in the 2023 presidential election if all the permutation and horse trading currently going on with the APC is anything to go by.

A clear indication in this direction is the out pour of goodwill that greeted the 63 birthday celebration of the former president last week in Abuja. The event was practical hijacked by governors of the ruling all progressives Congress APC who thronged his Maitama resident in Abuja while PDP governors and stalwarts were visibly absent.

Inside sources who spoke to Daybreak on condition on anonymity, revealed that the support for the emergence of the former president to fly the flag of the APC in the 2023 presidential election may well be a fait accompli.

“the governors didn’t just go to his residence to celebrate the birthday of Goodluck Jonathan, it was a political gathering an endorsement, since the former president left office he has celebrated several birthdays what you should ask yourself is why this is different judging by the caliber of people who were there. Pay careful attention a lot would be revealed in the coming days”. The source said.

Travel / The Only Boiling River In The World Steams Like Sauna by lamzybaby: 8:07pm On Nov 09, 2020
The “only boiling river in the world” that steams is a tributary of the Amazon River.
The river which has two names — the Shanay-Timpishka and La Bomba is 6.4 km long.
It is known for the very high temperature of its waters—from 45°C to nearly 100°C.
The Shanay-Timpishka is located in the Mayantuyacu sanctuary, part of the Huánuco high forest. The area is inhabited by an Asháninka community.

Interestingly, it is a natural feature: a non-volcanic, geothermal feature flowing at anomalously high rates.
It is said that the Boiling River resulted when a company drilling for gas accidentally ruptured a geothermal system in 2007 in Lusi, Indonesia.

Health / 6 Home Remedies For Combating Asthma by lamzybaby: 9:15am On Nov 09, 2020
Home remedies for asthma can play a vital role in keeping symptoms under check. Benefits range from simply identifying triggers to making lifestyle adjustments.

Asthma is a disease that causes inflammation in the airways in the lungs. The resulting swelling and narrowing of the airways make it harder to breathe, as do the increased levels of mucus and tightening muscles around the airways.

All of these effects can happen at once and continue to get more intense, leading to what people often call an asthma “attack.” During an asthma attack, the lungs do not get enough oxygen, so the person feels short of breath. They often cough, gasp, wheeze, and feel a tightness in their chest.

All Progressives Congress, APC, has stated that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, lacked the moral authority to criticise the administration of President Mohammadu Buhari.

The ruling party contended that the subsidy regime and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) have been so transparent under the Buhari led administration unlike under the previous PDP administrations when the same NNPC was accountable to no one to the extent that it owed the government up to the sum of N704 billion for gross violations of the subsidy scheme.

It added that Between 2006 and 2013, PDP governments spent over N5.42 trillion on subsidy, which was 15.57% higher than the 2014 national budget of N4.69 trillion.
