I submitted my application September 1st 2021 and I got my approval today.

Congrats, that took long, mind me asking was it under critical skills or general skills.

Thanks

Hi,
I am currently on critical skills visa and applied for my husband in June 2021, the visa got rejected after 6 months. We have just put in an appeal and hoping for the best.
Spoke with someone here in similar circumstances and he said after over one year of submitting an appeal, he still hasn’t heard back from the embassy.
The whole process just isn’t fair nor transparent, it’s shocking!

Did they give a good reason for refusing the application, that you are able to share? Or PM
I am on a CSEP and my wife has applied to join me.
Seeing your post gave me the chills

Why was your NYSC unpaid?

I didn't receive money from teaching just the regular allawee everyone got, would that still count.. thanks
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by lanrayx: 6:03pm On Feb 11, 2021
If one worked in 4 different jobs

Nigeria
=======

NYSC ( teaching unpaid )1 year

Foreign
=========

A paid consulting work in IT for 3.5 months

Part-time work in a different field for 3 months

Professional IT job (in a different IT discipline ) for 1+ years

Can one combine this experiences or what other options do one have, when one has a masters and less than 30

Thanks

For me I think the only major difference between the two options is language. I've come to realise that most European countries have about the same system and MO due to factors like the EU laws and directives.

In terms of stay back options, you get 24 months permit to look for work after your studies in both countries. From what I've seen so far, Ireland has the potential to employ IT guys who know what they're doing asap, don't know how it is in France.

from my experience here, I would add that when it comes to your IT jobs recruiters don't gF about your qualifications, but your years of verifiable experience, a word is enough for those who have ears

Hi Guys

I am sharing this to encourage someone.

About 15 months ago, I took the brave decision to travel abroad for better opportunities. Brave because I had a decent job as per naija standards but I was pretty stagnant and making no genuine progress in my career. I considered several countries but eventually settled for Ireland as it was less competitive than other countries and they offered graduates a genuine chance to get a job after graduation. I barely put enough money together for visa application, flights and 50% of the tuition. I came to study a Masters in Computing(Data Analytics) at DIT, I did not know much about the school but the deciding factor in picking it was that they allowed a 50% down payment of tuition for registration.

It was a very intense period while I studied, I was lucky to be get a part time job almost immediately after I arrived and it was extremely difficult juggling this with full time study especially as the masters degree was extremely packed. I did not need any extra motivation to dedicate my whole being to studying, this often meant I had to hang around all night in Starbucks, completing assignments and studying.

Now to the testimony, about 2 months ago I graduated and I actually had a job offer as an Analytics Consultant in a top Consulting Firm here in Dublin before I graduated. Now this is nothing but God's grace as I know for a fact it is not easy. On accepting the Job offer, the company wasted no time in preparing a critical skills work permit application(equivalent of green card) on my behalf which got approved about two weeks ago.

I used nairaland a lot when researching study destinations and putting together my visa papers so feel free to reach out to me if you require any information.

pm'd you, thanks

Yes depending on the sponsors employment status and earnings per annum.

on a post study work visa(stamp1G) the answer is No except you have a PhD. while on a work permit (general and critical), you would have to fulfill certain conditions, ICasNG stated some, also read the family unification policy.

I'm having issues with loading images and when i try to copy and paste links i lose the page. So I'll try doing it one after the other...

This link below shows you the occupations that are high in demand and if you satisfy the conditions stipulated, you get 2 yrs and can renew for a number of years that counts to permanent residency. The good thing about this scheme is that you're entitled to bring your dependants almost immediately after you qualify.

https://dbei.gov.ie/en/What-We-Do/Workplace-and-Skills/Employment-Permits/Employment-Permit-Eligibility/Highly-Skilled-Eligible-Occupations-List/

what course are you studying

I will still advice anyone to do it.
I have read so much of their visa refusals stuff and its a major reason.

We don't determine who access our application. It could be a very structured person or a semi-structured person.

can you share others apart from the ones we already, thanks

Oga things have so moved away from satisfying consular o. Refusal this week was alarming that International Recruitment Managers in Ireland are thinking of coming down to Nigeria to have a discussion with the embassy.

People should try as much as possible to follow in line with their previous studies. This is bigger than following Nairaland somewhat applicants /consultants now --- Please consult with your university's international office.

All the best.

also worried as I am yet to even get a decision

I made one copy and I was asked at VFS Abuja to make TWO extra copies. Was running like a mad woman looking for where to make extra copies cos they were about to close. My experience though!

did mine at Lagos

You have to make TWO EXTRA copies of everything (except bank statements). So basically you will have ORIGINAL COPIES AND TWO EXTRA COPIES.

I think one photocopy is enough, because they would only collect one photocopy and original in my own experience

Google camera needs root to work properly last time i checked because you have to edit build.prop to enable HAL3.

I currently have a RN5 4/64GB lying fallow here waiting for the compulsory 15 days wait to unlock the bootloader. For me, i can't start using an SD device without G-cam and Dolby Atmos/Viper audio mods.

It's an absolute neccesity. smiley

well mine came with the bootloader unlocked, I have been using gcam for over 2 months now and my devices wasn't rooted.
it is even on the Miui forum.

but your bootloader as to be unlocked
