Nix one you gat. You have to intensify your plans now coz the result will definitely be an AM

gabi101:
hey guys
interview done and dusted, 5th octbober.!

Arrived 5;30 and was the first person on the queue. Tough guy(paulinus) cool came around 6:13 and called us from the queue by 7am. just 3 students visa applicants (not too sure), one of us didnt keep to his instructions so he decided to keep us all on our toes grin. as usual i flowed with his pace and in the end he took my documents personally and even helped arranged them(i dont even know how it happened). but i i think he's not real;y a harsh or a difficult personality only that he wants you to follow his instructions and you good to go. so don't panic at all.

i was the first student to be interviewed. so i met this white german lady(late 30 or so), very friend,nice and cool. she took my documents and visa fee.did biometric verification and gave me a question paper to answer some questions;

1.name of school and course
2.why the course?
3.why Germany?,why not other english speaking countries
4.whose your sponsor and where he does he work
5.do you speak german, for how long?
6.course structure
7.do you intend to come back or stay...(You guys know the usual drill here) cool
8.do you have friends/family in germany? name them
9.have you been to germany
10.how have you been preparing for your studies

then she told me to pick up the phone lets have a talk

VO;you said you've been learning german for 5 months
me: yes ma
VO; so can you speak well and which means did you use to learn
me: at most A2 but i had to stop for two months due to my exams. i used youtube.
VO.; (smiled)very good. so why did you choose this course
me; sustainability is a mega trend, making valuable use of natural resources to optimize standard of leaving. nigeria is gradually buying into this idea and i will like to be among those who will contribute to the realization of this dream.(i just want to be brief)
VO; (smiled and nodded her head in affirmation). so tell me why you chosed germany
VO; Germany is a hub of technological excellence, they offer sound academic training in theory and most importantly practical which is more relevant to life(saw a big grin on her face, nodding in affirmation) cool and its tuition free so you can devote most of you time to study
VO: (impressed) thank you very much...so tell me what you know about germany
me: Germany dont need any introduction when it comes to automobile production.(this one registered very well and she started to chuckle in affirmation and thanked me too.) cool. they have a top class transportation system and a remarkable history in football, especially soccer(my favourite).
VO: (still recovering from the chuckle) thank you...who is the president/chancellor?
me: frank walter stienmier/ Angela markel (i was sure of the pronunciation not the spelling)
VO; thats right...that will be all for now,we'll contact you by email.
me: ok thank you very much...hunged up the phone

i was about leaving, then she called me back and asked(my heart skipped a bit here) cool
VO; how do you pronounce your surname...i pronounced it for her, but then she said ''no'' that she wants to try it herself. i let her try and after some funny trials, i helped her a bit and she finally got the pronunciation(with a grin on her face). she did the same for my middle name too.

she gave me a print out to cross check my passport data page and everything was in line.
VO: is everything correct
me: Yes ma
VO: ok you can go now and have a nice day. tchuss!
me: you too ma..tchuss!

i was leaving the security check point when i saw the other two student visa applicants just entering the security check point, around 8:50 or so, yet to have their interview. their cloths were soaked with sweat, probably resulting from the heat of the tough guy,Paulinus cool

i will remain grateful for meeting a good and cocky friend here,Yusuph lanre tongue! blessed be the day i first met you!
Thanks to this wonderful family too that gave all informations for free, all the way from part 2 where i started and to some of my favorite lazy newbies tongue. i appreciate you all! we shall all smile together in the end

Stay tuned for the next success story cool

#CHEERS! smiley

I am so sorry if I end up posting this as a reply or a quote...

I've been following this thread right from part2 since May 2016, and i must say i have really got all my questions answered just from reading every single page. This is my first post.

I got my admission for winter2016 SEMESTER at RWTH University Aachen last year. I was so excited, went for my visa appointment 5th July 2016, the visa interview went well.
Unfortunately when i was ready to fund my blocked account forex started going up, the more I struggled to fine money the higher it got. After exploring all other options to fund I ended up withdrawing my visa application to avoid any negative report on my file.

It was heart breaking to see all the hard work, time I invested during the application and visa process fade before my eyes. But I had to pick myself up and start preparing for winter2017.

TESTIMONY

Got admitted(Same school /course) = 13th June 2017
Appointment date = 24th August 2017
Funding = funded before my interview
Am mail = 21th September 2017

I will like to appreciate everyone that has ever answered questions, you are helping more people than you can ever imagine. And for those that couldt get vosa appointment for winter2017, don't give up!!!

I'm seriously Interested in Learning German, But I have been searching for schools, language centers or even Private lesson teachers in Akwa Ibom State that I can apply to, so far I have gotten none. A Copper friend once told me that there's a center for European Languages around Ibom Plaza in Uyo where one can learn German (Deutsch) as well, but I have searched for it and asked around as well, I can't find it.

Please anyone with any info on where to laern German (Deutsch) in Akwa Ibom State should share the information with me.

Thanks!

Maybe you can try some online tutorials for example getting apps like Duolingo or learning german and also on youtube you can go to channels like learning german with Jenny
Hope this helps

No worries then, it will still suffice. The reason I gave the VO mine was simply because she asked for my grade during my project defence. It's not a mandatory requirement so please don't get yourself bothered about it bro.
Thanks i appreciate. Am good to go then

Let me answer the first question, school documents can't be used as a biographical old document according to Mr paulinus. However, that requirement is not really of much importance from my own experience. But if you can lay hands on such, then do so. Better safe than sorry.
Thanks a lot for your reply

Don't forget to take your uni transcripts just in case the VO requests for it.

quote author=AgentONE post=59569714]Here is the transcript of my Visa Interview I did today:

German interview (FHWS 2017)

I got to the Embassy at about 6.03AM, even though my appointment was slated for 10AM. Oga Paulinus gave us special attention by walking us through on the proper form of arrangement of our docs, he did this taking three people at a time. After scaling through, we were ushered into the main building where we sat down and waited for the VO to get prepared.

Venue – Main building for long term Visa Cubicle 3
Interview Format – I just dey shout through the glass, she no even tell me to pick up the phone during the interview. She go sit down, na you go stand (I nearly faint cos all my waist wan cut cos of the long standing, the woman no even pity me or even tell me sorry!)
Cubicle 3 light finally goes ON, It felt like I was been called to appear before the Judgement seat of Christ Jesus. Na so I pick myself up, dust my yansh, pack my docs and took a deep glance at other applicants that were seated, before heading to the main entrance.

Immediately I got in, I was given given another format for arranging my Doc (this was written on a piece of paper by the VO). While I sorted my Doc, she collected my admission letter and passport, then keyed in the details into her computer.
Then collected my Visa Applicant form and passport, did my Biometrics, gave me the print out result to sign confirming that my details were correctly typed by her, which I did.
Then she returned my form.
While She was doing this I asked regarding using Block account for Interview and then opting for Sponsorship Letter after you interview, She turned over to her colleague in the other cubicle (the German white Lady) and asked her the same question as though to confirm before giving me an answer, the white woman affirmed that it is allowed.

P.S: Later while she was keying in my details, she begin asking me those Visa Interview-like questions, For my mind I be like shey dis woman done start interview already without telling me. As I spy her monitor, I noticed she was no longer inputting my details but was now keying in my response in German, Na so I compose shaperly.

The Questions I can remember are thus written below:

1- Do you speak German?

2- Name of school and intended course of study?

3- Previous educational background?
4- Why won’t you be completing your studies in Nigeria (am currently studying Mechatronics in Nigeria)
5- How many semesters is your intended course and explain the curriculum?
6.How did you get to know about Germany?
7.What is Mechatronics?
8.What is control systems?
9- Why Germany, Why not UK,Canada or even continue here in Nigeria?
10- What is your aim after completing your study?
11- Do you have any relative in Germany?
12-Do you have any relative in the EU, where?
13-Where does your Uncle work and how much does He earn?
14-Explain your relationship with this Uncle of yours, like how is He an Uncle to you?
15-Means of sponsorship?
16-Tell me what you know about Germany?
17-What is the Population?
18-How many countries borders Germany?
19.Where is your school Located?
20.Apart from Germany, which other country Speaks German?
21.Name the country that is a Schengen Country but not a member of the EU?
22-What's the date of German re-unification?
23-What do you know about your school city?
24-Which city is the capital of your intended state?
25-Have you paid your semester fee?
26-What steps have you taken towards preparing for your studies?
27-How about your accommodation, what type do you intend on renting?

That was it for me, then she told me you did well for a Bachelor Degree applicant just be hopeful and prayerful, as we will contact you by mail.[/quote]

Hello house
Please my interview is on 24th of August but i want to ask some question.
1) i want to use my waec certificate as a biographical old document since it is more than five years and there are some of my details on it. Is this allowed?
2) has anyone used paypal in funding his account coz i want to use it and send some money and some one will help me pay in to my account. I think is cheaper that way.
Travel / Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by legacy30: 2:30am On Jul 09, 2017
For those of us that will soon be going for interview this is a little tip that a friend of nine who is already there gave me "NOTE: two things to bear in mind (1) your motivation letter is the most important part of ur documents apart from block account. It's the letter that the immigration officer who'll handle ur application here in Germany will use to judge whether to grant u visa or not. So don't joke with the letter.
(2) when filling ur application form must sure u understand the questions b4 giving answer to avoid red card. Esp questions 7 and 12 on the form.
Thanks"
Best of luck to all of us
