Minna – Journalists were , Monday, assaulted by some officials of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), while they were waiting for the outcome of  the Union’s  National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting holding at the Federal University of Technology,  in Minna.
The closed-door meeting which started at about 11:30am was still ongoing at press time.
However, there was disagreement among ASUU members over the presence of the media, some suggested the media should stay because they are doing their job, others persisted that “we did not invite them. When we need them, we will invite them.”

The Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology Minna, Prof. Musbau Akanji,  who got wind of the altercation between journalists and the ASUU officials,  intervened saying, “although, I am not a part of the meeting but I am apologizing on their behalf because they are in my territory.
“This place (FUT, Minna) is a Federal Government institution, and it is a public place that everybody, including journalists can enter, especially when they are doing their job.”
As at the time of filing this report, the strike has not been called off. Dat z at 8:09pm Vanguard online, nothing yet, y'all should chill

Good point. However in UNICAL where I studied law, the formal black and white dresscode applied only to law lectures. When taking elective classes such as computer we could come infomally dressed. Also, elective classes usually take place in the classroom of the elective faculty so the classroon in the picture might be a computer science lecture hall not a faculty of law lecture hall.
u're ryt about d elective course part, bt I'm 100% certain dats faculty of law LT2 I tink. Dat class is actually very nice, oda Dan d white board it looks good. Dats my nyt class joint. Would hv posted pics of d class bt I'm in all of dem n I still lyk my anonymity. As 4 d odes saying y should law students take CSC, my question 4 dem is 'u Don go uni b4?' n dose saying d students should haff fought, I laff in Chinese! So dat deir faces wil b marked, n deir graduation forever delayed! Abegii let's face facts, d students did d ryt tin. As for d strike, I'm no longer bothered, will face ASUU n FG Jan 6th. FG should just sign so we cn rest!
