mistacoco2:
Hello guys,

For some days now I have been on a serious dilemma whether to resign from my federal government job that pays me above N200k for my current position and migrate to the UK or stay in naija and set up a business to augment my salary. I will be 34 years next year, I feel traveling to the uk for studies next year September will delay my chances of getting married, as I have planned not exceeding 34 years without getting married.

I belong to the school of thought that believes can make it in Nigeria despite all odds. However, considering the economic realities of the country, I have recently contemplating of japa and maybe get a Nigerian lady for marriage after my studies.

Please I earnestly need matured advice from you guys to know how to start the coming year.

Cc:Justwise

Stop arguing with those people. They are far from reality.
Most job in Lagos start at 50k. If you like have PhD

If you don't want, go home.

May God bless you sire

Wait sef, are you talking about manufacturing industries (Mostly owned by foreigners) where most of their workers are inside the plant working or a well structured company on the island

Sir, did you know not all jobs are on the island sha?

Once again sir!
Do you mean a graduate should not take up a 50-70k jobs because he apply for some structured company GT program nd he was not picked?
Would you prefer such Grduate to be idle sir?

Yeah,
There are graduate that earn more than 100k
There are also graduate that earn below 100k

I think most of you guy's are used to slavery job in guise of GT OR ET grades. A standard company Will pay you nothing less than 150k as GT OR ET. I know banks that pay ET 360 and above. So please Don't conclude that most graduate are earning less than 100k

Im not concluding here sire!
All im just trying to say it
Some companies start with 70k for graduate in this country!

Lets not act as if what i said is not right!
They willl tell you
The highest we can give you is this amount!
You either take it or leave it!

No be everyone go enter through GT or ET

No be all companies dey employ througt GT or ET na

Go to companies along Lagos-ibadan Exp rd
Be it graduate or non graduate
What they will offer you is what they will offer!
If you like be an msc holder

Some graduate are earning above 100k
Why some are not
That whats im saying here sire

Exactly why that salary is not true. Even NYSC interns earn around that range. Why would a GT program pay 50-70k as net pay? That's BS

Why don't you understand
That normal employment means
Im not talking about GT at all

I say normal employment
Or are you saying normal employment is that same as GT program ni

Again, this is a lie. Most GT roles in Lagos do not pay such. What do you derive from spreading false information on the internet?

I said Entry level Bros
Normal employment nah
Entry level
Normal employment as staff
Not graduate trainee or internship na

That's a lie. Most GT pay well above 150k, unless you are doing GT in a farm. When I was doing GT, I was earning around 200k.

Youb don't get what im saying sir
I mean most entry level in lagos is around 50-70 for graduates

Don't tell us talk about countless of graduates,
That has applied for countless of GT prog and nothing come out of it...

They had no choice than to take that entry level offer like that

Im not trying to discredit GT program and how much they pay!

Im just saying
So many apply and didn't get picked

MrTuns:
Entry Level / Fresh Graduate - Anything less than 200k is slavery
Mid Level - Anything less than 350k, be in the job market and look for better offers
Senior - If you are a senior person in your career, anything less than 500k is slavery. Rethink your options.

People are earning N2M and above monthly with less than 10 years experience. Its all about gaining skills, certifications and experience in the right companies.

The best industries to work are Banking, BIG 4, Oil and Gas and Telecommunications. Forget Tech, unless you have years of experience, entry level pay is peanuts.

The truth is most entry level are paying only 50-70k

The private sector discreetly operate a slavery kind of employment. Some people are paid as low as 30k, I'm talking office secretaries and bsc holders at that. Except you're in tech, if you receive 150k as monthly salary you are getting a good payment.

You just hit the nail on the head
