Education / Re: Uniport 18th Best University In Africa. No 1 In Nigeria. by lonewolf: 8:59pm On Jun 19, 2011
The idea that University of Portharcourt is on the top 20 list in Africa is laughable. I can guarantee that no Nigerian university is on the top 50 list in Africa. How they wan take do am?
Politics / Re: Bankole’s Father Cries Out, They Want To Kill My Son by lonewolf: 12:53pm On Jun 15, 2011
Bankole's father is a monkey. He raised an idiotic son who raided the country's account as soon as he had a chance to. Bankole should be prosecuted to the fill extent of the law.
Politics / Re: Compensate Awo By Giving Fcta Ministerial Appointment To Segun Awolowo by lonewolf: 2:28pm On Jun 13, 2011
Me sef I want compensation o. I think I should be made President of Nigeria just for the f-u-c-k of it.
Politics / Re: Compensate Awo By Giving Fcta Ministerial Appointment To Segun Awolowo by lonewolf: 2:21pm On Jun 13, 2011
Actually, I am not trading insults with the original poster; all I am doing is pointing out the absurdity of the suggestion that a grown arse man be -- in your words -- "compensated" for reasons you have not quite been able to articulate. This thinking is daft, it is delusional and it is not in anyway connected to the idea of how a democracy should operate.

Nobody is throwing any tantrums at anybody? All I am doing is sonning you mate. The idea that we should just appoint somebody to a role because his daddy was a good leader is absurd both on its face and in its substance. It is a daft idea. And the poster should apologise for proposing such a moronic idea.
Politics / Re: Compensate Awo By Giving Fcta Ministerial Appointment To Segun Awolowo by lonewolf: 1:55pm On Jun 13, 2011
Smh. So make we just dey dash people position and offices because their daddies were good leaders? What kind of aristocratic 13th century thinking is that? "Compensate Awo By Giving Fcta Ministerial Appointment To Segun Awolowo"?!! Compensate ko, mastur-bate ni.

This is a democracy not some ragtag kingdom in the Middle East.
Politics / Re: Compensate Awo By Giving Fcta Ministerial Appointment To Segun Awolowo by lonewolf: 1:37pm On Jun 13, 2011
The poster of this thread is obviously an i-d-i-o-t. So we should be appointing people into administrative offices based on what their daddy did 40 years ago and not merit?

The underlying principle that informs this thread is daft. The poster should apologise for posting such a moronic thread.
Romance / Re: See Me See Trouble O by lonewolf: 9:21am On Jun 12, 2011
You better arrange yourself and make sure you don't Bleep your cousin's girlfriend, because that's just out of order.
Politics / Re: Secret Behind Sanusi Lamido's Appointment by lonewolf: 10:19am On Apr 23, 2011
I do think that Sanusi's insistent glorification of Islamic traditions and his Northern roots are somewhat unhealthy. However, there is no doubt that he has been good for the Nigerian banking sector. That industry was a mess.
Politics / Re: The SE (Igbo) Should Be Commended For Supporting GEJ by lonewolf: 2:56pm On Apr 17, 2011
The sentiments expressed in this thread are disturbing. The North vs. South polarisation is unhelpful and bone-headed. I am from the South and I supported Buhari for President, simply because I thought he was the best man for the job. However, now, it looks like Jonathan is the projected winner. It's all good. You all have had your way, now, please no complaining about there being no electricity, water, etc.
Politics / Re: Presidential Election, 16th April, 2011 by lonewolf: 2:07pm On Apr 17, 2011
The beauty of democracy is that the majority have their way while the minority have their say. So, if Nigerians have chosen Jonathan, all well and good. No sweat. At the end of the day, it's our country and we'll be silly not to wish he does well. That said, please, for the next four years, nobody -- especially the Jonathan warriors -- should make useless threads on this board, talking about how there's no light or how there's corruption.

You make your bed, you sleep in it.
Politics / Re: Presidential Election, 16th April, 2011 by lonewolf: 12:27pm On Apr 17, 2011
Instructive post: "A country not ready for change does not deserve it." GEJ has been there for more than a year, during which time we've been able to observe his ineptness up close, but if the majority of the people in this country insist they want him, hey, make una carry go.
Politics / Re: Presidential Election, 16th April, 2011 by lonewolf: 12:07pm On Apr 17, 2011
At the end of the day a people get the leadership they deserve. If it is indeed the case that this election is free and fair and Jonathan wins, it's fine. The people would have their way and they shouldn't complain for the next 4 years. They would have to take whatever he serves them because they voted for him. That's the beauty of democracy.

I am of Yoruba descent but I personally think Buhari would have done a better job. But that's the beauty of democracy: I have my say, you have your way.

All the GEJ champions should be clear that whatever happens in the next 4 years, they brought it on themselves.

Hey arsehole, I'm talking about the core North. Who has swept the core North?
Politics / Re: National Assembly Elections, Saturday 9th April, 2011 by lonewolf: 11:52am On Apr 10, 2011
ACN was always in line to do well in the South West, so there's no need for excitement in that regard. The key question is: WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE NORTH?
Politics / Re: National Assembly Elections, Saturday 9th April, 2011 by lonewolf: 11:25pm On Apr 09, 2011
What is going on in the North?!!!

Politics / Re: Buhari/Bakare Live On NTA by lonewolf: 8:37pm On Mar 16, 2011
I am not in naij, but it's looking like Buhari can win this election. Can somebody analyse the regions he needs to win in order to beat Goodluck?
Politics / Re: Gej Campaign In Ogun State! Pictures. Lol: by lonewolf: 12:48pm On Mar 16, 2011
If this election is free and fair, Goodluck's chances are questionable.

How can a heart break? It's a f-u-c-king muscle not a bone.
Politics / Re: El-rufai: Why I’m Standing By Buhari – Bakare by lonewolf: 12:42pm On Mar 16, 2011
It does appear that Buhari has the clearest agenda. Jonathan has been President for a year and has demonstrated that he is not only clueless, but inept as well. Buhari's track record speaks for itself. His inclusion of Bakare on the ticket is a clear signal that he intends to be inclusive.

I urge all Nigerians to look closely at the candidates and vote for Buhari/Bakare. This should not be an issue of tribal or religious sentiments. Facts are facts. After all, I am a Yoruba.

wales:

Johnathan’s emergence as Nigeria’s President and eventual nomination as PDP gay bearer in the 2011 presidential election is a proof that God is still ruling over the affairs of men. Imagine the calibers of men who were working against his aspiration, who are now teaming up in his support. Even the North that laid claim to the Presidency are now routing for the man God has chosen to lead the nation. God is indeed interested in the affairs of this country. We should fear God.

You are unwell.
Politics / Re: We Will Fish Out Aliens Who Registered – Immigration Boss by lonewolf: 4:05pm On Feb 16, 2011
This immigration 'boss' is a dunce. How are they going to fish out illegal aliens that registered when nobody knows how many many illegal aliens are in the country to start with?

What the bleep is this dude on about?
Romance / Re: Would You Marry Him - Even Without A Good Job by lonewolf: 5:05pm On Feb 15, 2011
Mrs.Chima:

You went on and on about NIGERIAN WOMEN not accepting a man who is not rich BUT YOU WON'T MARRY A WOMAN WHO IS BENEATH YOUR ECON/SOC STATUS? What the bleep?

Because I am not gona be anybody's meal ticket. Bring your 50%, I'll bring mine. Then we can talk marriage.
Romance / Re: Would You Marry Him - Even Without A Good Job by lonewolf: 4:48pm On Feb 15, 2011
Nigerian girls will always continue to intrigue me. Here, you have a guy who's trying to make ends meet, is working hard and trying to build a good situation for himself. He asks his partner to marry him and she turns him down largely because he's not rich. Amazingly, females on this board subscribe to this nonsense too.

If you cannot marry your man when he's nobody, you are not worthy of him when he's somebody. Period.

This is why I have always said I will not marry anybody who is beneath me in socio-economic standing. (If a girl isn't from a relatively wealthy family or without serious earning potential, we are only f__cking. I can't wife you.) You can never be certain that she's with you because she loves you -- or because she sees you as a ticket to a better life.
Family / Re: Moving Out From Parent's House- Your Experience! by lonewolf: 10:32am On Feb 08, 2011
Your ability to move out is primarily dependent on your finances. Most issues can be sorted out if you earn relatively good money. It's when you don't earn a lot of money that it becomes a debate as to when the best time to move out is. But as a general principle, once you start hitting 24, 25, 26 you start needing your space. If you still live at your parents' at that age, but everyone can see that it's simply because you want to -- maybe you love your family too much, or are simply a mummy's boy, or you're supporting your folks financially, etc., then it's all good. If, however, you are still at your parents' well into your late 20s and early 30s simply because you're a bum-arse with no job, then that's just unseemly and disturbing.
Family / Re: Is America The Right Place To Train A Child? by lonewolf: 11:31am On Jan 26, 2011
A child can be raised anywhere. If he/she is going to turn out well, it wouldn't matter whether or not he/she is raised in Pakistan.

There is nothing to back up the idea that people raised in Nigeria have better values than people raised abroad -- they just have different values. I know people raised in Naij with shitty attitudes, I know people raised in England that will give Mother Theresa a run for her cash. Just create what you think is a perfect environment for your kids whereever you might be and everything will be all good.
