You’ve probably seen the trending reports about the Pratola Peligna property for sale for 1 euro recently.

It sounds like lies, right?

Is the news factual? YES. This is a hundred per cent happening right now.

The main question is: WHY?

The website to download the application form can be found here.

Some Facts You Should Know

2. Pratola Peligna will not require buyers to pay a deposit to guarantee they'll renovate their new home.

Celebrities / IGP Adamu Reacts To Rahama Sadau Controversial Dress & Photos On Social Media by Mandynews(f): 5:33pm On Nov 07, 2020
Don’t allow Rahama Sadau’s photo threaten public peace, IG tells Kaduna CP

Mohammed Adamu, the inspector-general of police (IGP), has called on Umar Muri, Kaduna state commissioner of police, to address the controversy trailing a recent photo by Rahama Sadau, a Kannywood actress.

In a letter signed by Idowu Owohunwa, the principal staff officer to the IGP, Adamu also directed Muri to “furnish him with updates accordingly.”

“I am to convey the directive of the Inspector General of Police that you treat proactively with a view to ensuring that the development does not result in any act that could threaten public peace and security,” the letter read.

“The Inspector-General of Police further directs that you furnish him with updates accordingly.”

Last Sunday, Sadau had sparked controversy on Twitter after she shared a photo of herself in a backless dress.

In the now-deleted picture, the 26-year-old Kannywood star had posed in a tight-fitted pink gown that exposed her skin from her neck region down to the upper section of her waist.

The development had elicited mixed reactions among several conservative Muslims, some of whom quickly condemned her as having committed “haram”, an act that is forbidden by Islamic law.

It had also prompted the Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN), an umbrella body of northern filmmakers popularly called Kannywood, to hand the actress her second suspension in four years.

In October 2016, TheCable Lifestyle had reported how Sadau was expelled from Kannywood for “hugging and cuddling” in a music video.

Politics / Anonymous, Lorian Synaro Explains Why They Hack Multiple Govt. Websites by Mandynews(f): 7:39pm On Oct 18, 2020
Lorian Synaro of Anonymous, an international 'hacktivist' one of the people behind OPNigeria revealed in a chat with iAfrika the motive behind the OP movement.

According to data obtained by MANDYNEWS, Lorian Synaro has previously participated in #OpCongo, #OpZimbabwe, #OpSudan and other countries.

Mr Lorian said they are 4 people taking part in the hacktivism movement, Anonymous and it was launched to help the people.

For the past 24hours, Nigeria's government websites started becoming intermittently inaccessible as a result of a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack and protest by Anonymous.

According to Wikipedia, "DoS attack is a cyber-attack in which the perpetrator seeks to make a machine or network resource unavailable to its intended users by temporarily or indefinitely disrupting services of a host connected to the Internet."

"Anonymous has basically hit all websites that the Nigerian government owns. Don't let these cyber antics drown out voices in the streets," Lorian Synaro wrote on Twitter.

So far Anonymous movement, OPNigeria has hacked multiple Nigerian Government's websites in support of #EndSARS.

Here's what Lorian Synaro told ifrica via a chat during Zim revolution about Anonymous OP movement

Are you linked to the global Anonymous movement?

Lorian Anonymous: Yes, I am linked to the global Anonymous movement. Anonymous is not [a] group, it's an idea. So I can't really say what is my role within Anonymous. I am just doing my best to help in operations and fight injustices.

What is the aim of the DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack?

The DDoS attacks aim to shut down the targeted website or server as a form of protest.
We do it in government sites and banks to help the people. These attacks are coordinated and we are like 4 people taking part in it.

Do you or anyone involved have any political links globally or anywhere in Africa?

No, we don't have any political links globally or in Africa.

Are any other planned attacks specific to African organisations or countries?
Yes, all the corrupt Afrikan countries are also our target.

I wanna say that those attacks are not to harm the people. Some medias and people want to show us as criminals but we are not. We are only fighting for freedom.

Politics / Nigerians Launches Petition Demand 7-point From Government by Mandynews(f): 12:35pm On Oct 16, 2020
Over 6,000 Nigerians have sign petition asking the government for 7-point demand; Institutional reforms, Cost of governance, constitution reforms, education reforms, health reforms, youth affairs reform and public office reform.

The petition comes after Davido, on Monday met with the Inspector General of Police, Muhammadu Adamu, over the ongoing #EndSARS protests.

He raised the need for adequate training and psychological re-evaluation of members of the police unit with IGP Adamu.

In a statement published on Thursday by a concerned Nigerian at Change.org, a petition website wrote: "We recognize that this moment is the culmination of decades of dissatisfaction over the decay and corruption of our dear country, Nigeria.

We find the unhealthy haste to fashion a unit termed “SWAT” to be a misrepresentation of the 5for5 demand. It is not enough.

"This protest is beyond #EndSARS, #EndSWAT, #EndPoliceBrutality. This movement is for the soul of Nigeria. We are demanding a systemic overhaul of governance and institutional reforms as the barest minimum. We are better than what obtains presently; we demand progress.

"We are not vain agitators. We are clear-eyed youths and professionals in our respective fields who are tired of the way and manner our dear country has been run aground by successive administrations. We cannot idly stand by whilst our future and that of our children are mortgaged."

The petition calls on the federal government to release arrested protesters, compensate families of victims, investigate and prosecute all reports of misconduct, proscribe SARS and review the welfare of police.

It also proposes that an urgent budgetary framework with 50% capital expenditure and 50% recurrent expenditure in all appropriation bill.

"We demand a drastic reduction in the cost of governance. We also demand that the national assembly, be first by streamlined into a unicameral legislative and be further stripped down to become a part-time job," the petition says.

"The huge salaries and benefits accorded them by the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) should be reduced to the barest minimum."

Below is the 7-point demand Nigerian citizens are asking from the government.

1.        INSTITUTIONAL REFORMS (SECURITY)
That the 5-point demand to release arrested protesters, compensate families of victims, investigate and prosecute all reports of misconduct, proscribe SARS and review the welfare of police be implemented immediately.

2)         COST OF GOVERNANCE
We demand a drastic reduction in the cost of governance. We also demand that the national assembly, be first by streamlined into a unicameral legislative and be further stripped down to become a part-time job.

3)         CONSTITUTION REFORMS
We demand an urgent referendum within 90 days to begin the line-by-line review, reconstruction and upgrade of the extant constitution to be more functional for a 21st Century nation. The selection process for this referendum will have 50% young people under 60 nominated by their peers in a transparent, judicious and fair process.

We demand that credence be given to terms of citizenship over indigeneship and state of residence over state of origin.

4)          EDUCATION REFORMS
·       We demand that a state of emergency is declared in the education sector and demand increase in the budgetary allocation to the educational sector by 50% and to double again within the next 24 months. This funds will be used to drive the education sector to provide affordable quality education to all citizens.

5)         HEALTH REFORMS
We demand that a state of emergency is declared in the health sector and demand increase in the budgetary allocation to the health sector by 50%

·       We demand mandatory health insurance for the vulnerable population in our society as NHIS is not doing enough to serve all Nigerians.

6)         YOUTH AFFAIRS REFORM
·       We demand that a state of emergency be declared in the ministry of Youths and Sports, Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of National Planning. We demand that this should be adequately funded, sports academy should be revamped.

We demand the creation of the Youth development funds dedicated to growing the creative industries and agriculture.

·       We demand that the Not-Too-Young to run bill should be expanded to include–50% inclusion of youth under 40 in every cabinet in government.

·       We demand that the youth inclusion be monitored by the FCC as they currently monitor state inclusion and the NCDMB and other stakeholders partake in this action to protect our future.

7) PUBIC OFFICE REFORMS
We demand code of conduct reforms for all elected public office holders to have themselves and their children use public schools and public hospitals ONLY. Violation of which is immediate impeachment and recall.

·       We demand immediate removal of immunity clause from public office holders to make them answerable to investigations at all times when and where necessary.

·       We demand immediate resignation of every public officer found guilty of any forms of crimes and corruption step aside during investigation also.

Politics / EndSARS: "Secret Meeting" With Emefiele, Dangote Amplifies Confusion In Protests by Mandynews(f): 12:02pm On Oct 14, 2020
Confusion hits the camp of End SARS protesters over a "secret meeting" few individuals held with Dangote and Emefiele.

Last night, Tuesday, October 13, some EndSARS protesters including Pamilerin, Phyno, Aisha Yesufu, Mo Abudu, Wizkid, Ogbeni Dipo, Falz, met with Emefiele, Dangote, Sanwo Olu, Ifeanyi Okowa, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and Dapo Abiodun.

According to the report, Adebola Williams acquiesced that EndSARS protests should end.

But Aisha Yesufu & Mo Abudu insisted Nigerians will not back down until all outstanding issues around police brutality are resolved.

How trouble and confusion started

Ogbeni Dipo, took to Twitter to announced on Tuesday that he and others were in a meeting.

“They pleaded with us to either stop the protest or protest peacefully. They promised to ‘move mountains’ and ACT today.

“I currently don’t have the permission of the 7 people that attended to disclose their identity but I can assure you they are the same people who have been at the forefront in Lagos, Abuja and London.”

“Davido and Wizkid have really really tried. But I deliberately left out their names. Those 4 people for starters. We can add: Mo, Rinu, Bulawayo Bukarti and Debo Macaroni.

“These 8 people should be speaking to the government. #EndSWAT #EndSARS…No political jobbers. No career activists. And I don’t want to have anything to do with it”, he said.

However, reacting to the zoom meeting, the convener of #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG Movement Segun Awosanya in a post via his Twitter account, insisted that the #EndSARS protest has been hijacked by some group of individuals.

"Special thanks to @SavvyRinu et all who started the organic protest before the hijackers took it over. We shall overcome. #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG"

"The attempt to hijack the #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG Movement by known elements who were against it from day one and had to be a part now for fame & earnings is not surprising. They felt they can demonize me & take ownership by force. But they’ll fail again as always."

"The #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG movement is not a cult group. We don’t guilt-trip people for control. We have a Convener and we are NOT a Protest group neither are we easing funds for such purpose. This is yet another onslaught in the same pattern on the cause. Be careful out there."

"Certain elements are mobilizing to politicize the movement but they know they can’t succeed with me. So they created a monster using the same hashtag as to confuse the unsuspecting public. Please note the difference. People who are for the Cause won’t attack my person."

"I worked hard on #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG there is a difference. It is a completely different thing when the objective and end goal are separated especially when associated with a protest that seeks to denigrate the tenets of the Movement at the expense of the cause."

"The Movement never separate its Objective #EndSARS from the End Goal/Vision #ReformPoliceNG since inception in 2017. Please note the difference & identify those exploiting your attention. Don’t be a tool in the hands of anyone. @segalink will never expose the vulnerable to harm."

According to reports by Peoples Gazette, "Payment solutions Flutterwave blocked a bank account being used to raise funds for #EndSARS, amidst claims of CBN pressure. The account has been receiving donations to treat victims of gunshot wounds and give legal aid to arrested protesters."

Reacting to Peoples Gazette report Segalink said; "The public should be advised that @SIAF_NG’s #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG Movement dissociates itself from the #EndSARS Protest and its funding initiative. We are an ADVOCACY & NOT a PROTEST Organization. We are NOT raising FUNDS. I guess this is why they’ve been attacking @segalink"

The co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls Aisha Yesufu who has also been at the forefront of the End SARS movement, told Nigerians youths to stay focus.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VRfvUNeCHo&feature=youtu.be

Protesters have criticized the meetings being held without public knowledge.

“Some people are already using us to catch cruise over this #endsars protest, because at what stage did we agree to people representing us in a meeting?

“Also, those accusing others of “cult” group have also been in a purported meeting with the IGP. What’s going on?”, Tope Akinyode said.

Aproko Doctor warned protesters; “Government is succeeding in dividing us, using fault lines where it will be easy to crack us from. This is not the time to allow personal bias, resentment or the need for glory to influence our actions. If we all want the same thing, we should all be speaking with one voice,”

Susinya Bulus, a lawyer, it's time to declare victory and call off the protests

"It’s time to declare victory and call off the protests, otherwise the bickering amongst the so-called protest “leaders” will soon have us negotiating from a disadvantaged position. #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeria"

"I have deleted the thread. It is not worth it. Let posterity judge us all. We will not be distracted. Let’s keep the focus. Be safe out there. #EndImpunity #ReformPoliceNG," Segalink said.

At the time of this report, the argument over "secret meeting" is flooding Twitter Timelines.

Celebrities / Davido Narrates His Meeting With IGP Adamu Over #EndSars Protests by Mandynews(f): 9:20pm On Oct 12, 2020
Popular Nigerian artiste David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has narrated his meeting with the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu over the #End-Sars protests.

Recall Davido had tweeted inviting all his friends to join him as he meets the Inspector General of Police.

According to him, he invited Falz, Rinu and Mr macaroni to join him in Abuja from Lagos but they all declined.

"They said they’d rather stay in Lagos and continue to coordinate the protests so it’s not like feet have been taken off the brakes and we have all left base. I had to respect that," Davido tweeted.

#EndSARS convener Segalinks, Ubi Franklin, Korede Bello, Dbanj, CDQ and others were present at the meeting Davido had with the IG of police.

The singer disclosed that he never went to the IGP office to deny protesting; "I never went there to deny protesting. My comment was taken out of context."

Below is everything Davido said;

"Today my team and I met with the IG of police at their headquarters in Abuja to discuss the #End-Sars protests and the way forward.
I want to make it clear that I never went there to deny protesting.

My comment was taken out of context. I was trying to explain that I was not at the protest to cause trouble or fight as you can hear me say in the video, but rather I was there in solidarity with every Nigerian demanding an end to police brutality. I was also explaining to Mr Frank Mba. the Force PRO. that my intention on leaving Lagos for Abuja was not to lead a protest like many had thought.

I had finally secured an invitation from the IG of police to come to Abuja for a stakeholders meeting scheduled for Mon-day morning. That was the reason for my trip and for my Abuja tweets.

As for the talk doing rounds about me going to 'deny protesting' and lie due to intimidation or whatever. It's a shame that at this particular time lies have to be spread by blogs that should be focused on fighting for the cause. and a shame that I have to explain myself. but I have to.
Mr. Mba had seen videos and pictures of myself on social media protesting in solidarity alongside my fellow Nigerians and asked what happened as he also knew that was not the plan. I then ex-plained the reason I got involved with the protesters and led them down to Force HQ so I could dialogue with the officers in charge who were accused of effecting arrests. I was there until we were given assurance that all protesters were released and we left shortly after. Hence my 'I didn't protest' explanation.

I am not one to fear police or fear protests.

I had someone record on IG live was because as usual I'm trying to carry people along on every step. This movement belongs to each and every one of us and no one single person can claim to be the leader of this.

The room we were in where the video leaked was Mr Mba's. We waited there briefly for the IG to see us. The actual meeting with the IG though recorded has not yet been shared. That was where we discussed extensively the issues facing the youth and facing us as a nation.
I have never claimed to be the voice of the people. nor can I claim to have been personally victim-ized by SARS. But as a young Nigerian, there is no way I could be silent on this matter and not help to the best of my ability- as flawed as it may come across to some. The crime here would have been inaction.

I'm a Nigerian FIRST. David Adeleke Second.

I would like to thank the IG for agreeing to meet with us under such short notice and hearing us out, the great Nigerian youth for being so inspiring and showing the world that things are chang-ing. and in particular I'd like to thank the REAL voices of this movement- our WOMEN. They have been the backbone of the protests. and we must protect them at all costs.
Lastly, may we never forget those that have tragically lost their lives to police brutality before and during these protests.
